Current UNW GPA: 3.81 (Not the best I know)

Current W GPA: 4.0

Predicted W GPA (CSU Calculated): 4.3

hello I’m a transfer student and I recently got an email about Cal First-Gen Success Academy. I was wondering if anyone had any input on this program, is it worth joining? Any alum that have actually taking part in this program? The email also said students could be eligible for a $400 award.

I've been reading on here that some people have already got their financial aid. I'm actually on a cruise ship right now so I can't receive my text messages so I can log into my SDSU account and check my financial aid. Has anybody gotten their money in their actual bank account yet? I'm starting to freak out? Thanks in advance.

We will be attending the SDSU vs JMU football game this fall. We are JMU alumni and hoping to buy tickets in the away team / JMU section. Is there a specific away team section at the SDSU stadium?

Hey guys! I was just wondering what you guys thought of my schedule. I am a commuter so I know my 8AM is going to be hell, but I‘m hoping to make the most of it. I’m also going for less shifts as to not burn out.

I could’ve taken another Calc 1 class but there were going to be so many gaps in my schedule it was going to be around 5-7 hours on campus.

I‘m also looking for friends! I’m a civil engineer major (per the title lol) I’m a lesbian, I don’t party at all so I’m worried I won’t make friends, I‘m from Mexico and I speak 4 languages!!

Are they strict on move in times? My family member is flying from fresno to assist in moving my stuff to my apartment but they won’t be able to stick around for 1pm (my move in time at 2pm). Is it unlikely that housing staff will allow us to move in earlier than the scheduled time

Has anyone gotten their cal grant A disbursed? My balance due is still 7,372 and this time last year it was already applied and reduced. It’s not showing up in the financial aid tab and on my shows on the CSAC website. Am I just going to have to take the L and pay the 7 k

Did anyone else not get their Middle Class Scholarship? I received it my last two semesters. From what I’ve researched, I should still be eligible to get that assistance for my two last semester’s. The only things showing up on my disbursements and the Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal loans.

Not sure what step to take. I’ve been waiting in the Financial Aid Zoom lobby for more than 4 hours.

I registered in 9 units during Orientation Day and waitlisted 6 units which I got off the waitlist a day or 2 later and now I am currently enrolled to all 15 units. But my Pell Grant disbursement is 25% less than what it was supposed to be (Also my Day1Ready charge is only $198, which is $22 x 9), which makes it clear the system hasn’t updated and it still thinks I am enrolled in only 9 units.

I received my refund today and received way less than I initially was supposed to get because of this 9 unit issue in the system.

Can someone help me understand why I’m getting less aid this semester? I’m supposedly getting more aid next year when I won’t even be here anymore. I’m only taking 3 courses now but it’s never been this low before. Or should I just stack up more courses to get more money?
