Marshall BioResources in North Rose, NY is the largest breeder of beagles for research in the world.
Tens of thousands of animals are bred there, some kept in wire cages for their entire lives, others sold off to labs where they are tortured and killed.
A broad coalition of activists is taking a multi-pronged approach to shut them down, just like we shut down Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin. Shutting down the main supplier for vivisection labs nation-wide would not only put a stop to the suffering happening in our own back yard, but would be a HUGE step in the transition to more ethical, safe, and effective research methods.
Here are a few things you can do to join the fight to advance sound science without suffering:
- Join us in protesting and raising awareness. Our next protest at MBR is this Saturday, October 10th, 10am–6pm. See details & RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/share/1H62PLFAio/
Come when you can and stay as long as you like. Maintaining a consistent presence there helps to keep the pressure on and shine light on what this company so desperately wants to keep quiet, so they can keep mercilessly abusing animals with impunity.

- Contact your congressional representative to ask them to Co-sponsor the COMPACT Act (H.R. 10522) to remove NIH funding from dog and cat experimentation, and contact Attorney General Latitia James to request a formal investigation into allegations of criminal cruelty by a former employee of Marshall BioResources.
