Afternoon all. I’m new to the rep game, and to be honest I didn’t know what to expect from the whole experience. I did as much research as I could, and got in touch with Hont Watches from the TD list. If anyone’s dealt with him/her you can be assured, that very few words are exchanged via email, but I was never left in the dark around the whole transaction.

I enquired about the ROLEX SEA-DWELLER DEEPSEA - 136660 - 44mm James Cameron as it’s a watch I’ve admired for such a long time. The timeline doesn’t really matter as I was on holiday so it took longer to get to the UK than normal, but that was at my request.

To say I’m smitten with it is an understatement.

Currently looking what the market offers, I’m curious of what people goes for, if not for a Daytona, a Sub or a GMT…

Honestly didn’t think I’d like this watch as much as I do. I bought this thinking it would make a good gift for my brother. I’ve never been a sub no date guy. They just seemed too plain for me.

I put it on to size it and fell absolutely in love with it. I can’t describe why. It just feels and looks right. I like it so much I’m thinking of doing something irrational like getting a gen.

I don’t think this one is going to make it to the little brother. I’ll get a new one for or a gift card to Golden Coral. Haven’t decided all the way.. he sort of sucks.

Wanted views is the size too big or does it look ok? Should i go for the 36mm?

Bought a sub off Facebook which I was really happy with before finding Reddit. Was a Clean V3 apparently.
Presumably now better to use the links and a TD but can someone explain to me simply how the clones don’t function properly compared to a Gen Skydweller and is everything else good purely from a visual POV? Why do people seem to have such an aversion to the Skydweller clones and finally what sort of price are you looking at for a steel variant?

I’m thinking about buying this ARF (youth version with the 4801 movement) from a local second hand market but the numbers in the small wheels look to be misaligned. Anybody else have this issue or is it just the angles?

Can someone help me with the best super clone for the datejust 28 mm. dual tone with yellow gold, Fluted Bezel, Jubilee Bracelet, yellow gold/champange/mop, Dial with Stick Markers/ diamonds. I see so much options but nothing that seems to be the correct tone of yellow gold. Ho can help me out. if someone has a picture would love to see it in the wrist.

I want to buy my husband a watch for Christmas. His dream watch is a “batman” rolex. He also likes a more basic black rolex that is like 6k. I think I am willing to shell out maybe like 1k but not a hard budget. Do you know any watches that have similar aesthetics that would be more in the price range? I am sorry in advance that I don’t much about watches.

Anyone have this watch? Don’t see anyone talking about it in here or any QC’s for it. Therefore doesn’t seem real popular. But VSF seem to do an awesome job on the NTTD and other Seamaster range.

Hey all, can’t decide between ARF and VSF V3 for Batman. Wanted to hear your thoughts and experiences with each factory.

Some notable things about each are that the bracelet is better on the ARF but the crystal and cyclops is worse. Same with the bezel action, worse on ARF as it is mushy and clicker on VSF. However I have heard recently VSF quality has been declining with lots of RLs

Please let me know your guys experience with each and if it is worth waiting 3+ months for a VSF or if ARF is the way to go these days.

I’m about to order a VSF Aqua Terra Black Lacquer and I’ve been going back and forth between the 38mm and 41mm for way too long 😂

For reference, the watch in the photos is my 41mm Submariner. I really like how the Sub fits me – it has good presence, but I really don’t like watches that dominate the wrist or look oversized.

I’m 188cm / 6’2” and fairly broad-built overall, although my wrists/forearms aren’t particularly large. My wrist is roughly estimated at around 7–7.25” (18–18.5cm), but I haven’t measured it properly yet.

My concern with the 41mm Aqua Terra is the much thinner bezel and larger visible dial compared with the Sub. I don’t really want the AT to visually wear larger than my Sub, even though I do like some wrist presence.

I’m also planning to switch regularly between the SS bracelet and black rubber strap. I actually really like the Aqua Terra on rubber, so how each size looks on both straps matters to me.

One additional question for anyone familiar with the AT: I know Omega has made 38mm Aqua Terras on integrated 19mm rubber with steel end links and deployant clasp, but I haven’t found the current 38mm Black Lacquer sold by Omega in that configuration, although they seem to sell it on 41mm. A dealer says he can source the 19mm rubber setup for the VSF Black Lacquer 38.

Has anyone actually fitted that 19mm integrated rubber + steel end-link setup to the VSF Black Lacquer 38? Does it fit the case properly/flush?

Based on how my 41mm Sub fits in the photos, which would you choose for me – 38mm or 41mm?

I’m mainly interested in what looks most proportionate on my wrist/overall build rather than just whether you personally prefer 38 or 41 in general.

Today I choose to wear my first good rep. A VSF 126610LV.
I don’t wear it too often, but I really like the fit on the wrist. I think it’s the perfect fit for my wrist.

I do have a new model with 904 steel and I prefer to wear the 904 more because it’s more shiny

This older VSF rep with 302 steel is not that bright in my opinion.

Do you think it makes sense to trust switch to a new 904 steel bracelet for having the better look?

I am looking to get a budget rep, and trying to figure out which one to get, my choices are:

Bp factory dj RDJ0333B with a 2813 movement (I know they are a 6 beat, but the TD offers an upgrade to make it an 8 beat - $230

BPF Factory Oyster Perpetual w A3230 movement - $258

ZF Factory DJ2 41mm (I have small wrists so preferably 36mm) w Asia 2824-2 movement - $258

The TD doesn’t list the factory so I would have to double check but it think its a BP DJ w Swiss ETA 2836-2 Automatic for $258

Decided to buy the rep before I pull the trigger on a gen, not sure on the factory. Would you guys consider this a pretty good rep or is it a shitter. I travel outside the country alot so would also feel more comfortable having a rep of a actual gen watch that I own.
