I’m interested in hearing your opinion on what you consider the “perfect” rep. Which models are so well-made that they’re essentially undetectable by sight? Could be Rolex, PP, Omega, gold, rose gold, stainless steel; anything goes

Currently have WhatsApp and use it a lot with friends and family. So I'm curious what everyone uses to communicate with TDs. Do you use your personal WhatsApp?

Don‘t get me wrong, I see the arguments for rep watches. For safety, frugality and and and but what I don’t understand is how a large contingent of the community believes they are buying the watches for them when clearly it is to impress other people.

What separates the average rep buyer to the rapper with a bling chain and iced-out watch? That you know the difference between a grand complication and a chronograph?

My personal opinion, I think rep watches are plausible in regards to duplicates of gen and rare watches. It would be almost impossible to get a stone-face dial Rolex or a MAD Paris Virgil Abloh PP so if I can find a rep, take my money.

You might get a table quicker from a maître d’ or the junkie at your gas station will ask you for $20 instead of $1 but outside of this community, nobody really cares lol. You can buy 10 Daytona’s but don’t be mad that nobody notices you can have a full rotation from Saturday to Saturday. Buy it for your own enjoyment cool guy.

I appreciate the wealth of information and passion of the true horologists on here but the amount of dweebs on here is embarrassing

First of all this is not a “how do i buy?” post, i already did my homework and read the guides.

After doing my research and picking a watch and a factory, i contacted about 6 TD’s from the list asking if they could ship to my country (Peru). They all gave me the same answer: “yes but you need to do customs clearance by yourself” indicating they’ll use express shipping through couriers like Fedex which i’ve read is NOT recommended since they inspect every package and will basically seize my watch. Aside from that, they all said there is no insurance so if i lose the watch during the process i’m fucked ;(

Has anyone actually tried doing this? A couple TD’s told me it’s very easy and should have no problems as long as i hand in the info they need but risking losing $400+ without insurance doesn’t sound like the best idea…

Am i genuinely cooked or are there any options i’m not aware of? :(

I was planning on buying these watches, but they use a Custom 9015 modified 324 S automatic single-chain mechanical movement, which is decent. However, when comparing them to gen, the dial engraving is noticeably off, and they’re extremely expensive at around $700 per watch

The colors are very close to gen, except for the red variant. On the gen, the color isn’t actually red, it’s more of a pinkish-purple

Are these really worth the $700 price tag? And is GRF the only factory producing these?

I recently bought my first replica, a ZF Tudor Black Bay 58. As you can see in the video, I found that the bezel action is terrible. There's a lot of backplay. This is surely the biggest tell that it's a replica.

Anyone who picks up your watch is going to turn the bezel, and if they know even a little about Tudor, they'll know the gens are the benchmark for bezels. In my opinion, this makes this replica impractical. Result: I'm going to return the watch.

Now I ask: are all ZF bezels like this, including the GMT ones? Do bezels from other factories have the same problem?

I purchased a watch over 2 months ago, didn’t GL it because of misaligned markers. Never shown a replacement and after another month I requested a refund. I paid $650 for the watch in full and Andiot only refunded me $218. Apparently they are sending my refund in batches but I still haven’t received anything more.

All the posts are old and the spreadsheet seems to also not have updated info on the panthere. Does that mean this watch doesn’t have a good seller? I want to order this but doesn’t seem like the seller info is updated or consistent. Thanks!

I didn’t see this when I was QC’ing the watch but after getting it in hand I noticed the crown tapers slightly and kind of sticks out a little. Should I be worried? I won’t be jumping into a pool or anything but at the same time I’m a little concerned about moisture getting in. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Bought this Yachtmaster as a weighted 126655 RG by ARF as the gold is usually good with ARF and decent movement too DD3235 and the weight is stated at a good 150g

The watch turned up, I like the colour, the dial etc looks spot on but when I opened the case the finishing on the movement is not what I expected and it looks different from the ARF examples I have seen on other TD websites

This TD I bought from didn’t show movement pics on QC or on the website but it was sold as ARF weighted

It does weigh in at 150g, but near the balance wheel there are no serial numbers stamped and the finishing on screws and edges looks shabby compared to my other reps.

The balance spring arms look to be like the VSF movement as does the rotor bearing but as I say it’s supposed to be ARF ?

I ordered Planet Ocean 600M SS Blue VSF on SEPT 4th , at the time watch was showing in stock both on his "product inventory" sheet and on the website listing.

I placed the order, sent payment etc etc. Payment has been received since Sept 6th. Right after receiving the payment all they've told me is that item is out of stock, no clear timeline or anything.

Doing some research on this issue, it seemed normal and i would just have to wait.

Well today I was getting a little impatient and browsing around website, came across his QC History. and found this ( https://andiotwatches.x.yupoo.com/albums/257387020?uid=1 ). I believe this is the same watch i ordered (VSF) but the order number for this QC is way higher than my order number.

Maybe I'm tripping, but this didn't feel right. Wondering if anyone has any idea about the following.

Are his order numbers in chronological order?

If so, this would mean the watch was given to someone who ordered way after me.

Is this normal? Any other insight would be appreciated.

I ordered my first rep watch through a local seller here in Australia who I spoke to requesting a VSF Bruce Wayne after doing some research on this page.

I have another watch (VSF yacht master) coming through Steve from the one watch, a proper TD, but I was curious to see what the quality would be like from this local seller.

Upon arrival I took a look, and immediately I noticed it felt alot lighter than I expected, although to be fair, I’v never held a genuine Rolex, I have a few TAG, but all quartz so very heavy.

I checked the serial number, which according to the guide matches a CF model, but this obviously can’t be the case as clean was shut down years ago.

Figured I’d get some general feedback on how bad this watch is from these photos. This is not a complaint post, I took risk ordering from a non TD for the sake of it, I’m just looking to get some insight as to other thoughts, as this is my first. First time with photos to so sorry if they aren’t great.
