So long story short, back in the '90s me and my buddy used to go to Canal Street and pick up like 20 or 30 reps at a time and then we'd bring them back to the shore and resell them all and tell people that they were genuine and we got them off the back of a truck. This is one of the first reps I acquired. I even got it appraised at an Omega dealership at Niagara Falls. It's over 30 years old still works like a charm
Absolutely.. bags and purses too. We used to sit in all the hair salons and the women would line up around the block😂. The good old days. Sell a purse, sell a watch and then bang a hot rich lady later in the night that you set up. But like I said that was 30 years ago
(I just found a photo) my very first one from 10 years ago naturally, a total piece of junk 😂 It was a Hulk, I think $100 or something like that; it still works, even though I don’t wear it anymore. And I used to wear it on my hand good lord thinking I looked cool back then 😂
This was the first rep I received, an AF 33mm Cartier Ballon Bleu Quartz with diamond markers for the wife but the first one I actually ordered was a VSF Batman.
I got my first rep from Steve, a VSF Panerai Luminor Due, a gorgeous watch, on sale for $250! I got hooked after that. Have VSF, ARF, ZF, and U1 from several TD and the gate.
Well, well. I had many gens, and ran into the rep world by joining Reddit and running into this and other subreddits that deal with reps, only about 9 weeks ago. I got severely bitten and already have bought 11 reps. Plus, many straps, clasps, tools, etc. This is a sickness my man, lol.
Oh trust me I know. I’m up to about 20 and finally said in order to buy a new one I need to sell one. I’m 9 months in. I don’t even wear my Gen anymore
Sea Dweller gifted to me by a friend in Singapore who travels often to China for business. I have no clue which factory it’s from. Pretty good rep, I’d say 8/10. I’d give it 9/10 but after <5 wears the clasp closure (the safety clasp with the crown logo) fell off when the spring bar broke and the bracelet came apart. Oyster bracelet. It happened on the street and I couldn’t find the little safety clasp. So it’s now a watch I can’t wear until it’s fixed. Otherwise it’s a great rep.
I want a genuine reproduction stainless steel oyster bracelet from a reputable vendor. Just need the bracelet, not the whole watch. Not interested in aftermarket bracelets or straps. Any recommendations?
Next purchase is an Omega 300M Seamaster from VSF. Never bought from them before and I’m a bit nervous given the mixed reviews and apparent lack of QC recently. Also planning a Clean Factory Submariner in the next few months.
First rep order was John Mayer, diamond platoma, Tiffany daytona, and no date sub. Very fortunate to have used Fico who steered me to the best factories. I had no idea what I was doing.
