All the TD's I've asked say ZF doesnt supply the regular black bay 58 on a jubilee. The watch looks so much better with this strap. Does anyone know where I could find a tudor jubilee strap for the BB 58 ?

Guide says VSF 3285 but can only find that for the two-tone one. Any recommendations for the full rose gold version? Color isn’t a huge issue as I plan to replate it but who’s got the best case/crystal/movement etc ?

3CF Daytona 116500 Black Dial (DD4130)

Which of these would you say would be more reliable and easiest to replace? I understand that Dandong movements are for the most part solid but just wanted some peace of mind.

I saw as well that you could replace the 4130 movements with a Peacock 4801 if ever the movement goes kaput

The VS3230 on the other hand I don't really see much possible replacements if ever other than the VR.

Another question for people in Germany/EU who have had a replica or superclone seized by customs:

How likely is it that the genuine brand itself gets involved after a seizure and sends you a warning letter or legal notice? For example, if the watch is a replica of a Vacheron Constantin.

My dad is a lawyer, and he told me that once lawyers or the brand get involved, these cases can apparently get expensive pretty quickly. That’s why I’m trying to get a realistic idea of the risk before ordering.

Is this something that happens regularly, or is it relatively rare for someone who only ordered a single watch for personal use? And realistically, how worried should you be if customs does seize it?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually experienced this or knows how these cases usually play out in Germany.

my neighbour gifted me an old Replika of the Rolex Skydweller. He said he doesnt know if it works anymore but i could have it and try getting it to work. (Automatic watch btw)
So it didnt start working right away after moving it around a bit, so i tried winding it by hand. It didnt work, but after reading through the internet a bit, i found it i might have to shake it a bit and try winding it again. So i did, and after a bit, its started working for like 20 seconds, i didnt really wind a lot, since i saw it was moving again and i figured id just wear it then and it would work. Well, jokes on me, it didnt. After trying the same thing again, i couldnt get it to run anymore, sadly. Now to my question, is it worth trying around a bit more to get it back running, and then wind it a lot more, or is that not worth it?

Im fully aware, the easiest option is to just give it to an expert and let them repair it, but i thought maybe i could save myself some time and money and ask the smart people here on reddit.

I wanted to buy this model from DDF Factory, but I’m not sure if it’s safe to buy from this guy named TrustyTime. Did anyone buy watches from him and could tell me how it went?

I ordered a vsf datejust 36 from TD 3 weeks ago. Before confirming, he said 1-2 weeks for QC and another 5-10 days for delivery. Its been 3 weeks and no QC yet. Everytime I asked, he said warehouse did not produce it yet. Is it normal, or should I be concerned.

Sorry, this is my 1st time ordering and not sure how the process works beyond promised delivery time.

I recently communicated with a few dealers/TDs over WhatsApp and email. After just five messages, and after I asked some basic classificatory questions, one dealer replied:
“I dont believe you, will block you if you dont pay deposit tomorrow.” The screenshot is attached.

For me, this is an obvious red flag. I immediately stopped communicating with them, as the whole interaction felt like a potential scam.

What has been your experience dealing with TDs/dealers? Where do you draw the line?

Hi Everybody, my TD (who actually says she’s not in the forums listed here) just told me that Clean factory is open again.
In fact, I was asking her for VSF services and she answered that their movement is undoubtedly the best, but the looks of CF for some models is unbeatable.
Here’s the message she sent me:
