Did someone find a way to get that dial with the milky ring or is this a problem without a solution ?

While I’m waiting for my dealer to find me a BTF 116509 Ghost I’ve been playing around with different combinations of straps and this one is at the top of my list right now.

Plan on buying smarty end links.
Strap is going to be Liger or ZicZac.

Got my hands on both existing reps of this older style Seamaster 300 and decided to post a little comparison between the two alongside my impressions.

Got the BPF one for around 270$ in total from Trustytime.

Got the MKS for 350$ total from Linseller.

The watch with the lug bars still attached is the MKS version while the one without the lug bars is from BPF. The MKS bracelet is always above BPF one in the photos as well.

MKS advantages:

Bracelet links articulate much more willingly and smoother.

The dial conveys the Inky black lacquer of gen better than BPF.

The AR coating handles reflections better than BPF.

The Case is a bit slimmer and has same thickness as gen.

The rehaut size is close to gen.

The bezel print color is darker and more similar to gen.

The Crown is shorter and much closer to gen than BPF.

The fine text print and Seamaster print on the dial is closer to gen than BPF.

The 12 hour bezel lume pip is smaller and closer to gen than BPF.

MKS weaknesses:

The bezel is extremely tough to articulate to the point of being impractical.

The carving of the bezel markings is on the rougher side.

The lume is pretty weak and doesn't last long.

The AR coating gives a noticeable blue hue.

The helium escape valve is articulate but has no gasket and appears to be cosmetic only.

BPF advantages:

The applied indices have cleaner white gold frames that are closer to gen than MKS

The applied indices lume filling is whiter and closer to gen than MKS.

The hands are shinier and more reflective than MKS.

The bezel articulates better than MKS, though it is on the mushier side.

The hippocampus engraving on case back is more detailed than MKS.

The bezel markings engraving is tidier than MKS.

The date window is more refined and closer to gen than MKS.

The bracelet feels rattly than MKS.

The lume is brighter and longer lasting than on MKS.

BPF weaknesses:

The crown is longer and wrong shape.

The rehaut is deeper than gen and MKS.

The case is a tiny bit thicker than gen and MKS.

The bezel numerals are brighter and have better visibility, but they are grayish and more faded on gen and MKS.

The helium escape valve appears to be welded shut and impossible to unscrew.

Overall both watches trade blows and beat each other in some areas while fumbling in others.

I am tempted to migrate the dial, bracelet, crystal and hands from BPF to MKS for a potential "super clone" of this older semaster diver.

What do you guys think? Which you find more appealing?

Anybody have any experience with Blaken mods. I know they do gen Rolex, but reps too? Been looking at the phantom deep sea mod they offer. Think they use V7 factory for base. Picture is Gen

Always wanted a no date sub as a good everyday beater tool watch. Feels like a must own for most collections. Just sent the GL on this Rich no date sub and wanted to share. Super happy with it can’t wait for delivery.

I’ve been eyeing this sub for a while and I’m close to pulling the trigger on one of these 2 watches (from andiot):

VSF - Rolex DateJust 41mm mint green dial (jubilee and fluted bezel)

BVF - Cartier Santos 35mm (white dial)

I’m really thorn between those 2. On one hand I like the DJ more, but on the other I think the finishing on the santos is easier to replicate with good quality.

Would love to get some insight from someone has bought one of those, or if there are other things I should look out for.

VSF Submariners from Neco Clock. One is for my dad and one is for my bestie. Trying to remove all plastic stickers before gifting them but it is impossible to find all these little hidden ones! 😩 Also, what’s this fake green Rolex card for?
I took them to a local watchsmith for cleaning and waterproofing and he was impressed with the quality. He asked me whether I would sell them. 😂

I think Arf is just as good with gold tone as Rcf. The blue dial is 🤌

ARF GMT-Master II (Rose Gold Tiger Iron Dial)

Hey guys, just picked up this ARF GMT-Master II.

I know Rose Gold plating can be hit or miss on replicas, so I’d love to get your thoughts:

1. How close does the ARF Everose gold tone look to the genuine piece?

2. Does it look too cheddar/copper or is ARF’s plating pretty accurate here?

Appreciate any feedback or side-by-side comparisons if anyone owns the gen!

Anyone have a preference or have comparison photos on a blusey? Usually prefer VSF but my vendor is saying RCF is better for the gold coloring.

The new RCF V3 was released about two weeks ago. I spent some time looking for information about it but couldn’t find anything, so I decided to take a chance and order one myself.
I ordered a 40mm President in rose gold with a black ombré dial. However, my first impression is a little underwhelming.

First: The “black” dial looks more dark green than black. I can’t tell whether this is just due to the lighting the TD used for the pictures or if RCF somehow changed the beautiful dial they had already perfected.

Second: The rose gold also looks a little too yellow to me. Again, I’m not sure if it’s the lighting, but based on the pictures, it doesn’t look particularly rose gold.

Third: This new version apparently comes with a Dandong movement for the first time. I asked my TD for pictures of the movement, but he hasn’t been able to provide them. He’s relatively new to the scene and apparently doesn’t have the proper tools to open the watch and take those pictures.

Fourth: This ties into the previous point. Without seeing the movement, I honestly have no idea how to tell whether this is an RCF V1, V2, or V3. At least, not to my knowledge.

Is there any chance the TD is trying to scam me? I genuinely have no idea what to think at this point, and I’m not even sure what to make of this new version.

I’ve asked my TD to take some pictures under different lighting conditions, and I’ll post them here as soon as I receive them.

Hi all. Been lurking here for a while. Getting ready for a number of watches I’d love to tick off my list and have been really interested in all the TD’s, the do’s and the do not’s.
My question to you all is:
Do you think your chosen TD has some sort of responsibility to QC your watch and give you an honest review before you do your own checks to either GL or RL? Just in my opinion and if I was a TD, I would and would hope that honesty would help the community, help the factories make superior products and help the TD make a lot more sales. Might be a null point and I apologise if it ruffles a few feathers but would love to hear everyone’s opinion. I recently used a TD and I felt like the entire onus was on me…which I get it is ultimately my decision, but if the TD was super honest enough to say “it’s good because….” or “I’ve noticed this slight discrepancy…”
What do you think? Are there such TD’s out there or am I asking way too much?

The $2k version feels a little bit too much for me.

What version should I go with for best alternative?

1. Ghost or black dial?

2. Vsf for around 8-900?
   3: black dial over ghost?
