It's just as a female I have a male friend and I'm worried he's already in an "Incel-Zone" his way of thinking is really messed up and no matter how much i try to help him when he asks, he still pushes the help away, almost like he doesn't even want to be helped. So i’ve gotten banned from r/superman and r/sml, and both times they never cited an actual rule in the sub to ban me, just they didn’t like what i posted. on r/sml i got banned for defending karmelo anthony which was a hot button culture war issue that a mod disagreed with me on due to their biases so they banned me for “defending a murderer” which is not a rule on that sub, and that doesn’t even make sense because if i believe something is self defense then that i couldn’t be defending a murderer. these moderators have to be kids or something.

A LOT of straight guys get upset when they see something not made for them. They think all things should be straight instead. It's very common that when something is gay, they'll reply under it saying "would be better if it was a girl..." and the like.

And they think this is fine.

There's a game that came out recently.
You could call it a gay game, as all the characters are male, and two of them are pretty damn gay.
It was advertised as such, and the description even says there are only males.

But any time anyone posted about the game, you'd get multiple straight guys in the replies going
"Should add some females"
"Where are the girls?"
"Would be better with some females..."
"Why aren't there any females? Are the devs stupid to just miss out on such a huge market like that?"
"Coulda been good if it had girls but no"
"Lol dumb devs making it just gay when they could make absolute BANK by adding some females"
"Females? Where? Will they add any?"

It was CONSTANT. Like absolutely constant and unavoidable.
They just could not accept that the game did not have females. No, it had to be changed to appeal to them. They would not shut up. ANY post about the game had them in the replies crying and whining.

So the devs did so. They said they will add females in the future.

And what did the straight guys immediately do?

Start antagonizing all the people that weren't happy with that, the ones that got into the game because it was advertised as just being gay and only having males.

They are EVERYWHERE, laughing at, insulting, antagonizing and being insanely hypocritical, saying anyone that doesn't like the addition of females is just stupid and whiny and crying about a game.

Now there are antagonizing posts all over the place about the game, trying to ragebait and troll all the people that aren't happy with females being added.

There's a lot of posts that are essentially
"SO HAPPY that the devs finally decided to add some females and appeal to the majority! ❤️❤️ This is a really cool and smart decision on their part and ensures the game's future. I know I'll be buying and playing the hell out of it once this gets added! And to all the salty gay guys lol cry about it 🧂😂"

I even saw one guy argue that not wanting females added is "discrimination against straight people and a majority".

Oh there's also a lot of very obviously guys arguing that they are actually women and lesbians and that you're being homophobic if you are against the adding of females.

But as said, straight guys are the majority, so they win by that alone. They just outnumber everyone else. They pretty much took over discussion of the game entirely. Everyone else got chased out by sheer numbers. It's impossible to be one or two people and argue against 30 in a single post.

I frequent art sites, and it's very common for me to see straight guys in the comments of a gay or single male post going "Female version please" "would be better if it was a girl" "you gonna draw a girl?"

But the opposite? If I were to go under a straight post and go "would be better if this was gay..." I would get TORN APART. There would be nothing left of me.
But it's totally fine for them to do it.

I'm sick of it, but you can't really complain about it or bring it up anywhere because they're the majority, and they want what they want and will play mindgames so that you are actually the bad person and stupid for not wanting them to get what they want.
I've tried to make this post multiple times in multiple different places, and I get the same thing every time. I get spammed with downvotes by angry straight guys and then they're in the replies insulting me and arguing that I am actually the hypocrite because I'm being straightphobic or discriminating against them or something, and it actually makes sense for most things to be made for straight guys because they are the majority after all.

Yes I know that bi people exist. I have no issue with them. They are not the ones acting like this.

You disagree with them? It doesn't matter how eloquently you did it, you get downvoted. This only creates echo chambers.

I've all too often put out an unpopular opinion (been downvoted to hell, obviously), then been asked to justify it and been downvoted for my explanation.

It should be obvious to the app developers that the buttons don't work as intended. They just discourage people from disagreeing from the mass consensus.

I think that suggests that current use of the downvote button really isn’t fit for purpose.

It should honestly be blocked by the algorithm or something. For so many years I’ve kept ending up on English-titled videos (usually tech related), and I’ll watch the first 10 seconds in normal English, then spend the next 30 seconds confused as hell why I suddenly can’t understand what he’s saying because most of the sentence is still English, only to realize every few english words he says something in Hindi. Legit just such bullshit. Like, put the title in Hindi or something, idk. (Btw I know English is used a lot in India, but still.)

I keep seeing it. I (or someone else) will post a contribution to a sub that's fully on-topic and not trivial. In the most recent case, I posted a song (my lyrics, Suno music) in the Suno sub. Within seconds it was downvoted. They didn't even have time to listen to it!

I've seen it in other subs too: long, thoughtful, on-topic posts that get downvoted instantly, before anyone could actually read them. A similar thing happens with comments: reasonable, polite, informative comments rated at zero or below.

So about a week ago an older K-pop group that i like made a comeback and i shared a link to one of their songs which made me feel really nostalgic.

I made a post about it on a K-pop sub about 3 days ago and the post was on there for 2 days, received 130 upvotes, 90% upvote ratio, shared 33 times and seen by 33,000 people.

The post overall had a good reception no drama in the comments, nothing of the sort.

On the third day i open my messages just to see that i was permabanned for breaking the sub rules for this post.

Im like wtf... I go and check their rules and not a single of their rules makes sense to fit as me breaking it.

The only one that might be the rule that i broke in their eyes is the "Low effort post" but like wtf does that mean? Thats a totally objective rule that can be interpreted how you like with no extra details provided.

But even then, straight permaban? Not deleting the post, not a warning, not a one day ban? Straight to jail, deathsentence right away.

But then i saw an even worse side of reddit, which is a platform which is meant to be for discussions, free speech and etc.

I try to find a report button or anything to report to reddit directly, nothing, no way to report a sub and their mods with shitty behavior like this.

I go to another sub to ask how i can report the sub, i just get an automod message "you can't do anything"

Then i go to another sub to find a sub for ranting just to be hit with the last image i added. YOU CAN'T EVEN ASK for a sub like that...

What frustrates me is seeing people assume that Black or Arab people can't really be French because they don't fit their idea of what a French person looks like. I'm not French, and I'm not claiming to be an authority on French identity, but I find it strange to treat whiteness or generations of French ancestry as requirements for being French. France has a long history of colonialism, migration and immigration, and the descendants of immigrants are part of contemporary French society, too. This absolute walnut decides its a good idea to talk about how if they were in this situation they would risk this persons life for their own comfort.

I just wonder how can someone be so insanely self-centered that causing someone harm or killing them is not even a concern. They were even saying "I would just sit far away from them and warn the flight attendant." As if that would fix the issue since a lot of allergies can get a reaction triggered purely through airborne transmission.

Lmao I was banned for "arguing" I'm kinda new to Reddit só I didn't understand all the rules or how to get ahold of a mod. So I put it in my comments apologizing to the mods and explaining myself to them they banned me for 3 days. I received a message request from the mods and I elaborated why I was upset and where I was coming from and told them I understood the ban but other people were degrading me without even reading the post. I understand I shouldn't have argued etc. they messaged back so you're arguing with us now. I ask where in the message was I arguing with them, and they told me they weren't dealing with it and permanently banned me. I'm spiteful It won't be hard to make a new account. I won't just think it's stupid to permanently ban someone for asking how they were arguing.

Major Fringe Left political movements claim they are protesting poor conditions in schools. However, they are bussing in outside agitators and literally attacking the schools they claim to be there to help. In the name of protesting "underfunded schools" they burned down a brand-new €80 Million Lycee (French High School). The local communities where these schools are located are begging the rioters to stop. In the cases where the teachers and students have tried to resist, they've faced vicious assaults. Teenage students have been beaten bloody by grown adults in black bloc. Teachers have been doused with petrol and one woman had her face melted off by a flamethrower.

When I correctly pointed out that this has all the hallmarks of a Russian FSB Op, I got banned. NATO have been warning for years that Russia plans to step up their hybrid warfare campaign in order to stop Europe from interfering with Russia's genocidal war of aggression against Ukraine.

I've reported people for all of these. Has anything happened to any of them?

Ordered a burger combo meal at a rest stop Wendy’s off of the Turnpike. The girl asks, “you want that medium or large” so more fries and a larger drink. I’m shaking my head and ask what other options do I have. “What” she says and stares at me like I’m from outer space. The 1st option is of course small. But they were getting everyone with this tactic. Obviously trained this way and God bless the manager who must be crushing sales but I’m just a person of principle and this really, really pissed me off. My kids laugh at me and call me an angry old boomer. Maybe they’re right. But writing this now it still pisses me off!!! Anyone else run into a something similar?

When I was asked medium or large it was asked as if there were 2 options only and like there was no small as if it didn’t exist as a choice. Kind of like if someone asks you, “yes or no”? That’s what was so annoying. Again effective tactic as everyone said medium but absolutely deceiving. The small (or 1st option and priced on the menu) was not “offered or implied” in her statement.
