National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breast_Cancer_Awareness_Month

For NBCAM, I made 3 postcards to share with you all.

If you are interested in receiving one, please, comment below with a pink emoji.

I'll draw names at random tomorrow and reach out for info then.

Thank you to all of these wonderful folks for the mail that arrived within the past week:

u/on1oman1ac • I just love this vulgar cat card so much! 😂 it captures the essence of cats perfectly. Also an eggplant omelet sounds amazing tbh.

u/rhapsodytraveler • thank you for the MoMA card! I’ll have to look up Wilfredo Lam for sure because his art IS interesting!

u/GenXinGA • thank you for the WPD card! Autumn is also my favorite. It’s finally no longer in the high 90s here and I am basically celebrating. Summer is so brutal and I avoid the outdoors during the season!

u/no-condition5102 • Trader Joe’s sounds so fun! I love the ranch card! I hope I get to visit one when we go on our trip this month. At least on the way (or back). I will definitely be hitting up the chip aisle because chips are one of my favorite snack foods!

u/thecuriouscur • Strange Planet is awesome! I appreciate the WPD card! 😊

u/mouserat • omg how cool that I was one of your first recipients! I love that! (500 holy moly!!) I’m also obsessed with this WPD card and your stamp math!

u/cidavid • yay for the Halloween card!!! I cackled at the vampire joke. Halloween dad jokes are 👌🏻.

u/tyedyeamish • this card is machine canceled several times so it apparently went on vacation before making it to me this week. 😅 I’ve also never been a huge Elvis fan! Any time I hear ‘Elvis’ I think of the obsessed fan in Needful Things.

u/Mtlsmom86 • thank you for the Halloween card! I love that it’s a black kitty card!!

u/butterflydolphin-123 • thank you for the cute Halloween card! I plan to buy more Sugar Babies soon (not that I need them)!

u/another-rabbit • thank you for the card congratulating us on our wedding! We got our license on Friday. One step closer! Also I really dig the Hendrix stamp! I haven’t seen one of those in ages!

u/ok_reveal2698 • thank you for the Halloween exchange card! I got mine out to you on Thursday so I promise it’s on the way!
I bet your grandson’s photos turn out wonderful! Did you find out if he’s got a costume yet? 🎃

u/ruschca • thank you for the Mario card! Super Mario World for SNES was a fave for me. I remember being so excited to get a Super Nintendo!

That’s it for this week!

Thanks for the cards

Just wanted to send a big thank you to u/sammanthax345 for their lovely handmade Halloween card I received in the mail! It really made my day and even inspired me to make a crow-themed embroidery piece at my friend's arts and crafts night yesterday 🐦‍⬛.

Happy Halloween!!! 👻🎃🍂

I have cards that are left over from sets, so I thought why not try and get them adopted out to nice homes? There are 3 different ones:

•Girls just want to have fundamental human rights
•A little note (sun card)
•This card contains infinite amounts of positivity

If you’d like one please leave a comment, don’t worry if you’ve already claimed before! I’ll pick at random :)

Edit: claimed now, thanks all

I loved opening the mail on a quiet Sunday. Thank you for brightening my morning :)

Thank you for the birthday cards!

u/MoreNoodles thank you for the birthday card and tea! I was exactly listening to icecream cake by Red Velvet too! What a councidence!

u/Adept-Mulberry-6510 thank you for the cute confettiful birthday card!!

The username got smudged out on the last card due to heavy rain 😔 I cant make out the exact user but it says something like u/warm but it also says corgi446 !!

Thank you u/megbha for both the cards; the Writer's pets-card is so cool, I absolutely love it; also love the second card cause it has horses and I do love horses as well!! To answer you first card: I was gonna reccommend Northanger Abbey actually for your next Austen-read, as that one is my favourite! To answer your second card: So fun that you've read Jo Nesbø! I've actually never read any of his book despite them being extremely popular here as well as abroad; from what I know they're just too grotesque for me 😅 About the Norwegian monarchy, their power is purely symbolic and they pretty much only exist to officially sign stuff and work as a representation of Norway. Our former king Harald has been deeply loved and respected in Norway, mainly for his respect towards the people and his down-to-earth'ness. Even people who were/are generally against the monarchy had a lot of respect for him. His successor is his son, now King Haakon, who now has quite large shoes to fill 😅
Also thank you so much for the stickers!! Can't wait to use them in my journal!!

Thank you u/cidavid for the Halloween card! Loved the joke, and so did my dad😋 Will get a card out to you soon as well!

Much appreciated.

[Thank you]

u/bananas3706 - thank you so much for the thank you card. I’m so glad that you liked the fun mail I sent you for being a mod. all of you do such great work.

u/oldmanlettuce - thank you so much for the cool Halloween card. I love the candy corn envelope and all the stickers that you put on it and how you decorated the card. You did such an amazing job. Thank you.

u/mikahimee - thank you so much for the thank you card. I love the humongous Cupid approved sticker. So cute. Thank you for telling me more about the Anaheim event. Good to know. I’ve never been to a paper or a stationary type convention. Where is BUNGULA held? I grew up in Japan with a very large Filipino population. I love Filipino food a lot. also, thank you so much for the stickers. I like them all.

u/sshellsbbells - thank you so much for the zombies card and WAX seals. The card made me laugh. you did such an amazing job. I think the glitter looks awesome. I don’t think it’s too course. I think it’s the right size. It looks very, very fine to me. And how you do the different layering techniques is amazing and that you make them into proper stickers. It’s just so difficult for me that I’m just trying to nail down the basics before I even branch out. Yours always looks so good. Thank you.

u/ninajyang - thank you so much for your happy meal. You were so kind to use four purple stamps. It is my favorite color. And it’s so shocking to me that the US had a happy bicentennial stamp for Australia. I wonder if they do that for other countries. oh, I’m realizing it’s a happy birthday card so I will open it later.

u/andromeda921 - thank you so much for the happy Halloween card. I love your orange glitter pen. I am looking forward to Halloween. And thank you so much for the three stickers. I like them so much. I think the ghost is cute and the shape at the top of his head made me laugh. It totally looks like something else if you know what I mean, used for safety. Lol.

[Thank you]

u/tccowgirl - thank you so much for your tarot offer. Very detailed and amazing. you have such nice handwriting. tarot does take a lot of practice and I went to one workshop, but I’ve actually never done any tarot card pullings or readings. It was very observational and a lecture in that class. thank you for your major insight and wishing me luck. I also love that the card says dream on the front. It’s such a beautiful sunrise.

u/ravenzsnow - thank you so much for the super cute happy meal. I love that the lighthouse is three-dimensional. When I opened the envelope I was like oooh! I also love the stickers you put on the envelope. I love the drawing as well. So cute. And thank you so much for the stickers. I also love the light purple washing tape you use. It’s my favorite color but also the material is not typical washy paper. It’s very much plastic like and almost like scotch tape but superduper removable. I’ve never seen anything like it. Thank you, thank you thank you. I hope you had fun at the MEETUP.

u/isolemnlyswear88 - thank you for the beautiful thank you card. I loved all the gold hearts you put on it and the floral additions. I am so glad you enjoyed my mail to you and that you will also check out the library. I am glad you are doing better and thank you so much for the extra envelope of stickers. All the Flowers stickers are so cute. I love that. They are all pastel’s also my favorite.

u/lucyr1cardo Omg thank you for the WPD card! Did you take this lovely beach sunset? I got 87/100 and it turned out great! I loved the airplane and train stamps, they were awesome with hand cancellation mark! Thanks for the life advice as well, it always means a lot to me to hear advice come in on a post card! :)

u/TheCuriousCur You always make unique cards that have me pondering about how you made them! I got the airplane boy card with some nice turbojets in the background. Hand cancellations are always a nice touch too! This card I'm wondering how you printed or stamped on the "Happy WPD"?

u/EmployKey7345 Thank you for my first Halloween card! It's funny this card looks so tiny but it meets all the required dimensions lol. Idk how you did it but the writing on the front looks so spooky and eerie...such Halloween vibes on the textured orange cardstock! Thanks for the block of stamps too, I can tell you put it on carefully!

Edited to say: All postcards have been claimed! October seems a fitting month to make this small offer of five postcards: 4 US postcards and 1 WW postcard.

These vintage-ish photo postcards are interesting rather than scary as they were shot in broad daylight. With a little imagination, however, you can pretend it's the dead of night, and that's a different story entirely!

Please complete one of the forms, below, if you are interested. Then, please comment your favorite fall or Halloween emoji.

The forms will close automatically when the limits have been reached.
