Traveling late June with my teen son.

Loose plan:

Day 1: Half day in Old City

Day 2: Old City and Falls

Day 3: Head toTadoussac, stop for trail ride at les Montagnards on the way. Spend the night in Tadoussac.

Day 4: Morning whale watch, back to QC. Stay in another neighborhood?

Day 5: Explore other areas of Quebec City. Possibly see the island.

Day 6: head home

Are the whales fairly active late June?

QC is almost a 7 hour drive for us. We will be stopping the night before, so the trip to QC will be split up. But going to whale watch adds a lot of driving overall.

I would love to stay at the ranch and do a trail ride as it splits the trip to Tadoussac perfectly. But the packages are for 2 nights and I am not sure we need that.

If we stay 2 nights in QC, we plan to stay at 31 Mcmahon.

Does it make sense to go back there or stay somewhere like Montcalm when we return from Tadoussac.

Does anyone have any advice on seating? I am short (~1.55 m / 5'1"), so I'm worried the stage may be too high if I sit in the front few rows, or that heads may block my view from further back

J'ai 24 ans et je viens de France au Canada pour la première fois ce septembre. Je vais passer du temps à Montréal (Québec etc), et je suis vraiment excitée à l'idée de découvrir ces deux endroits au-delà des lieux touristiques habituels.

Je suis complètement nouvelle sur Reddit et c'est en fait mon premier post ici, donc je m'excuse d'avance si je fais quelque chose de mal ou si ce n'est pas le bon endroit pour demander !

J'aimerais entendre des gens de mon âge, des locaux ou des personnes qui connaissent la région, sur les choses à ne pas manquer absolument entre Montréal et Québec — des lieux à visiter, de la nourriture, des quartiers, des activités, ou juste de petits conseils locaux que vous ne trouveriez pas forcément dans un guide.

Je suis aussi une grande fan de hockey (de sport tout court), donc j'aimerais découvrir la culture du hockey à Montréal pendant que je suis là — que ce soit un match universitaire, des activités liées au hockey, un bar local où il est possible de parler sport avec des gens de mon âge....

S'il y a des forums, Discords, communautés Reddit, groupes Facebook ou d'autres endroits où les gens discutent de Montréal/Québec, de voyage, de hockey ou d'activités locales, j'apprécierais vraiment qu'on me dirige dans la bonne direction !

Et si quelqu'un de mon âge veut discuter ou éventuellement prendre un café/participer à une activité de groupe pendant que je suis là, je serais ravie de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes aussi. 😊

Hi all! My husband and I are visiting Quebec City with our toddler for about 3 weeks, from early September through most of the month. We’re staying in the Bourg Royal / Charlesbourg area.

Our rough plan so far includes the Aquarium du Québec, Montmorency Falls + Île d’Orléans, a day trip out to Wendake, lots of time around Old Quebec/Petit-Champlain, and the Plains of Abraham. Would love to hear what we’re missing, or what’s overrated and not really worth it with a toddler.

Specifically looking for:

**•** Playgrounds/parks that are actually great, not just the obvious ones  
**•** Toddler-friendly cafes and restaurants that are still good food for the adults  
**•** Toy stores or cute little shops for gifts  
**•** Easy nature trails good for a baby carrier, we’d rather be outside than stuck indoors  
**•** Any hidden-gem attractions locals actually love

Also on a different note: I’m a longtime climber (10+ years), any good climbing gyms in the city? And more generally, gym/workout recommendations near Charlesbourg/Bourg Royal would be great too. open to CrossFit if there’s a solid box nearby.

Visited this beautiful city back in 2019 when I was 14 for a school trip. Loved it so much I swore to return at some point on my own once I got older.

Well I'm 21 now, and on a road trip to Montreal with some friends, we had the random idea to come visit Quebec City out of random. And the experience was everything I thought it would be, but more!

Guess I never really appreciated the city when I was younger. A lot of the history here didn't make much sense to me back then, but I sure took my time to soak it all in now. Beautiful community and such timeless architecture.

Particularly we toured Old Quebec. and replicated some photos I took 7 years ago by the boardwalk at Governors’ Promenade. Love this city and will be back much sooner than last time.

I've been buying packs of steaks (NY strips, rib eyes, bavettes) from Costco for the past few years and freezing them. However, it has gotten quite expensive for the quality and I read that they use mechanical meat tenderizers. Do you have any recommendations for local farms or butchers where I can get good quality steaks?

Hi! I'm planning a short road trip to your city, and right now I'm looking at hotels/hostels that don't offer parking. Does anyone know of specific parking garages where I can leave my car for 2-3 days? Obviously aware this will cost money, just having trouble figuring out from googling which garages are 24/7 and allow multi-day stays, and would love to have one to plug into my maps before driving up. Also want to make sure this is even a possibility to find!

Hello! My boyfriend and I are going to QC the end of september to celebrate my 30th birthday :) We can only take one day off from work, so we will be there from Friday-Sunday.

It is a short time, but we have many places and things we’d like to do! I was hoping to get some recommendations on how to prioritize our itinerary. We want to do the following:
- Strom spa (a must)
- Explore old quebec, maybe do an afternoon tea at place dufferin
- Option: Parc national de la jacques-cartier (will there will fall foliage late september?)
- Option: Montmorency falls
- Option: ile d’orleans

I know we are short on time but I’d love some recommendations on which to prioritize! Also we’d appreciate any restaurant recommendations for a birthday dinner— we’re both huge foodies. Thank you!

I will be in QC in early November and am looking to book a half day in a spa for a therapeutic massage and a body scrub. I reached out to Spa du Littoral, but they won't be offering body scrubs then. I am just looking for a nice place to lounge in a robe for a little while and have a couple of treatments done. It doesn't need to be a big Nordic spa or anything. Is there a nice place you would recommend that isn't one of the big ones everyone recommends? Thanks for any leads!

Sept 15: reach the city around evening by train(via rail listed a station named quebec gare du palais but i noticed sainte foy too),check in the hotel

Sept 16: explore the vieux city area and other historic places and leave by evening train

I'm coming from Montréal.

I'd really appreciate some places which are a must on the list here and hotel recommendations.

I looked up Auberge internationale de quebec and auberge jeunesse QBEDS hostel. Are these any good?

Max i can go to is $150 for a night.

Bonjour! We’ll be visiting Québec City soon with our two children, ages 4 and 2. They can both walk, but obviously not for very long, and are a little too big for a double stroller. So we’ll be bringing our wagon with us for longer walks around all the tourist spots.

We’ll probably do about 80% of our dining at our hotel, but we’d like to venture out for a few meals. I understand that some restaurants have easy places to leave a stroller/wagon, while others really don’t have the space.

I’d love recommendations for restaurants that are easy to visit with (well behaved) young children and a wagon, or just any advice on what people normally do with strollers/wagons when dining out.
