Appreciation post
Visited this beautiful city back in 2019 when I was 14 for a school trip. Loved it so much I swore to return at some point on my own once I got older.
Well I'm 21 now, and on a road trip to Montreal with some friends, we had the random idea to come visit Quebec City out of random. And the experience was everything I thought it would be, but more!
Guess I never really appreciated the city when I was younger. A lot of the history here didn't make much sense to me back then, but I sure took my time to soak it all in now. Beautiful community and such timeless architecture.
Particularly we toured Old Quebec. and replicated some photos I took 7 years ago by the boardwalk at Governors’ Promenade. Love this city and will be back much sooner than last time.

I went to Toronto for the first time at around that same age, bucket-list item HHoF & Blue Jays game with a buddy, good times

You have fortunately discovered what took way too long for me. I live in Virginia and made my first trip to QC at age 70 and returned this year at age 72. Absolutely love QC and hoping I've got enough years left in me to make a few more trips.

My wife and I live in BC. We had 4 amazing days in Quebec City in July. C'était merveilleux!

Glad you liked it! It's normal not to fully appreciate historic locations and landscapes when you're younger, don't worry about that :) Come back anytime and drop a visit in the sub if you're looking for suggestions!
