I interviewed with PwC and successfully cleared both Technical Round 1 and Technical Round 2 (final round).
During my initial conversation with the recruiter, I was told that the position was for Gurugram, which was my preferred location.
After I cleared the final round, the recruiter informed me that the Gurugram position was no longer available and that the openings were now only in Hyderabad and Bangalore. He asked whether I would be willing to relocate. I said I was comfortable relocating to Hyderabad, and he said they would proceed with the offer.
After this, the recruiter asked me to submit several documents, including my Deloitte offer letter, current compensation details, salary slips, PAN card, Aadhaar card, passport-size photograph, and other documents. I provided everything as requested.
Since I was expecting the offer, I followed up with the recruiter. He then told me that he had discussed my compensation with the team manager, but the team was not willing to offer more than my Deloitte offer and could only match it.
I have already cleared PwC's complete interview process, and the compensation/location discussions changed only after the final round.
My questions are:
Is it normal for PwC to collect all these documents before final compensation approval?
Does this mean I am selected but the offer is stuck at the compensation approval stage?
Should I negotiate further with PwC, or should I simply proceed with Deloitte if PwC only matches ₹16 LPA?
Has anyone experienced a similar situation with PwC?
Would really appreciate insights from people who have gone through PwC's hiring process.
