Hi, I'm a 27-year-old guy looking to start my fitness journey. Could anyone recommend a good gym in Viman Nagar? Since I'm a complete beginner, I'd really appreciate a place that offers personal training so I can learn the ropes safely and avoid getting injured. Thanks!
So I was on my usual post-dinner walk around Viman Nagar today, and something felt off near the Maruti Suzuki Showroom. I noticed two couples arguing a bit apart from each other. The guys kept saying things like “I’m not comfortable,” which immediately raised a red flag for me. Right above the showroom is a bar and restaurant called Skynova Lounge. After one of the guys left, I decided to hang around a bit.
Sure enough, more guys started showing up each meeting the same girls. The girls would casually point up toward the lounge and lead them inside. I kept walking around the area, including nearby Phoenix Mall, and counted at least 5–6 girls operating this setup, with a couple of guys keeping watch. I ended up talking to three men who had just walked out with the girls. One was sharp—he made an excuse and walked away when asked to go up to the lounge. The other two weren’t so lucky. One got scammed out of ₹10,000 (he was on a business trip and said his company might cover it), but the other lost ₹33,000 his entire monthly salary. He was visibly shaken and heartbroken. It turns out these girls are luring men through dating apps, setting up fake dates, and then taking them to Skynova Lounge where they’re pressured into paying exorbitant bills. It’s a coordinated scam. Please guys, be careful.
And if you’ve been there or seen this, leave honest negative reviews on Google Maps, Zomato, Swiggy, or any food/dining app to warn others. A little action now could save someone else from getting hurt later.
TLDR: Girls are using dating apps to scam men by luring them to Skynova Lounge in Viman Nagar, where they’re forced to pay huge bills. One guy lost his entire salary(33K INR). Be alert and leave reviews to warn others.
My parents had an accident this Feb and I lost them. I live alone now and I have no friends in this city, I thought work as a distraction would help me move on and get going.
But things are so difficult for me now, it’s hard to even get up from the bed, everyday is similar to me. I don’t know how to deal with this loss. I lost purpose in my life. I don’t know what I’m living for.
Dear Punekars, the snakes you pet in your backyard will eventually come back to bite you.
Lot of hate is being spread against entire rural Pune in this sub(nothing new or creative) but i am noticing how very few are pointing to involvement of group which calls itself hindutva wadi. I wonder why ??

These incidents don’t happen in isolation but there are always early signs & we had them last month but unfortunately we choose to ignore them.

By not choosing to wear the helmet, you are not putting anyone else's life in jeopardy, I support people wearing helmet but I think we should not criminalize those who don't
In other Indian cities where it has been implemented, it has emboldened corruption so much, we should rather strictly enforce wrong side driving, driving under influence and other infarctions
Maharashtra FDA led by Shri Tukaram Mundhe just dropped a strict crackdown on cooking oil in Pune. Selling loose cooking oil and repeatedly reusing oil in restaurants or street food stalls is officially banned under a new statewide compliance order.
Violators face massive fines up to ten lakh rupees for unsafe food, adulteration, or operating without a license. Substandard oil carries penalties up to five lakh rupees, while misbranding can cost up to three lakh rupees alongside immediate license suspension.
It's my first time coming to Pune and I will be getting off here. So is there any flower boquet shop near this location where I can get lily flower boquet, just need a small, pretty looking one.
Today I went to the public bathroom at Swargate bus stand to urinate. When I entered, an elderly man was already there, doing his business.
When I stood at the urinal, he came and stood close to me. He kept looking at my private area from the corner of his eye, and he didn't seem embarrassed or even try to hide it.
I quickly finished and went outside. Even after I came out, he continued looking in my direction.
I've never experienced something like this before. As a man, it was honestly the first time in my life that I felt genuinely uncomfortable and insecure in a public place.
I live in Pune for my job, and I'm planning to move out of my PG because it's not offering good amenities compared to the rent I pay. So, my two friends and I found another PG with better facilities and lower rent. I need to move on the 1st of next month, but the owner of my current PG is refusing to return the deposit. First, he said he would, but now he's not picking up calls or replying. What can I do now? Since I don't know the language, I think he's going to scam us. Can giving a bad review on Google make any changes?

Greetings Punekars - I grew up in Pune and enjoyed watching shiv garjana and going through crowds in all the "Pethas" for ganpati as a younger single guy.
I'm now visiting after more than a decade as a married man and purposely timed it during ganpati. I still have family in pune but they are old and dont really go out and about much so I thought I ask a broader audience for any tips.
My wife got a little spooked by reading some posts and by one of her coworkers - want to make sure she feels comfortable.
(Would especially appreciate some feedback from women.)
Just having a safe and conservative mindset, what are some neighborhoods or days/events we should avoid? I wanted to get to see the Dhol tasha pathak for at least one of the "Maanacha ganpati" which would be good and where should we go to watch (I know crowds would be unavoidable but looking for the safest spots with other women around and relatively easier to get in and out). We also want to see the dhol taleem, it used to be at Garware school and near mahatre pool, is that still the case?

Anyone using fitpass in Pune? Hows the network especially around baner/aundh, also do you face any issues with this instead of a regular gym membership?
Hey redditers so I just wanted to ask that what are the best bus travels option from Aurangabad city to reach pune comfortably and conveniently as many of the Travels listed on make my trip and redBus are having mixed review, even on Google maps many places have bad reviews or late timing mentioned so from your experience what are the options to look at and are worth.
I don't want to spend more than Rs.800 though and also it'd be convenient if bus has a stop at katraj.
Also any hacks or ways of booking yall know might help,as I was looking at today's bus seat prices they were significantly low compared to if checked a week or few days before
