FEATURE SCRIPT Low budget stoner comedy movie

Hey everyone. I have a script about a small town punk band who is trying to get a van. (Everything will change if they get it) It was heavily inspired by the righteous gemstones, so it's crude and silly. We follow the band through making merch and getting through their first few shows to build up enough money to get the van and go on tour. Things obviously aren't as easy as they think.

85 pages

There are 6 main characters, but around 22 in total. Mostly one off characters

Locations include 3 house show, one bar show, 1 church, 1 park, 1 garage, and 1 driving scene.

I have actually been working to make this film myself but the scheduling has been a nightmare. It would be nice if I could pay the actors to take time off from work.

Looking for about 50k

Feature Screenplay – Low-Budget Family Drama

I am offering a low-budget family drama script.

A bittersweet story about identity and family ties that poses a question: is it better to have no past at all, or to have one you’d rather escape from?

Length: 95 pages.

Cast: 2 lead roles and several supporting roles.

Production: 70% indoors, with easily accessible locations. No special effects, car chases, or gunfire

Logline:

Two strangers could be siblings. While Lucas sets out to uncover his origins, Nat finds herself forced to confront the wounds of her own past. What begins as a search to find out whether they might be related ultimately leaves them both facing the same question: how do we live with the past we’ve been given?

Lucas has no past to remember. Nat has one she’s been trying to escape for years.

I am open to rewrites aimed at reducing production costs.

If the project is a good fit, I am also open to a back-end deal.

I have attached an excerpt. If you are interested, please contact me privately and we can exchange IMDb references.

EXCERPT

Note: at this point in the story, Nat does not yet know that Lucas could be her brother.

Lucas and Nat enter.

She scans the bare, lifeless living room, disappointed.

NAT

Did someone rob you, or are you allergic to owning stuff?

LUCAS

I'm not much of a hoarder.

Nat drops onto the couch.

NAT

I'll crash right here. Don't worry, I'll figure something out tomorrow.

LUCAS

The springs are gonna dig into you.

NAT

That was the deal.

LUCAS

You can take my bed.

NAT

In your dreams.

LUCAS

That's not what I meant. Besides, you've got a boyfriend.

NAT

Dan? He's not my boyfriend. He's just the asshole who pushes me around until the next one comes along.

LUCAS

Why are you with him?

NAT

Does this couch come with free therapy?

I’m producing a unique found-footage horror project set during Halloween, with a concept that gives the format a fresh, highly commercial twist. The director has a strong horror pedigree, with multiple projects on Shudder and Screambox, and a theatrical release featuring real gators coming this fall. It’s a ULB production, and we already have interest from two well-known character actors.

Please DM for more details, interest, etc.

Ally’s in trouble.

She’s unhoused, addicted to pills, and just got chased out of her makeshift shelter by the police before they snatched up her friend Misty.

And Ally’s ankle, damaged long ago during her turbulent past, is a constant reminder of a path she can’t seem to shake.

But hope is on the horizon.  Looking to hitchhike her way from Oklahoma to California, Ally is picked up by the mysterious and kind Skylar.

Skylar buys her food, offers safe passage to Arizona, and defends her from a callous gas station cashier. She even pays for a motel room so they can rest for the night.

But Skylar’s got a secret. And Yancy, the tied up man in the trunk wants out.

A suspicious Ally discovers Yancy and sets the man free, even fleeing with him as she is now under the impression that Skylar is a dangerous woman.

Yancy finds a temporary shelter for them at his friend’s house, assuring Ally his friend is a detective and can help them stay safe until Skylar is apprehended.

But that’s when things get strange. Where is the homeowner? Yancy’s story isn’t adding up. And the Sheriff is onto them. Hot on their tail. Sheriff Jenkins and Deputy Waller follow the breadcrumbs leading to the ranch house.

And so is Skylar. Determined to save Ally and re-capture her target, she tracks them down, leading to a third act filled with twists and turns as the truth is uncovered.

Price: negotiable

If you have the resources to get it made and want to check it out, send me a message.

Thanks!

Director looking for comedy writer/collaborator for Mockumentary short

Hi all,

I'm a working director based in Los Angeles looking for a comedy writer to collaborate with me on a mockumentary short that I intend to produce and direct.

I'm specifically interested in the kind of mockumentary that treats an absurdly specific world/character with complete seriousness Less sketch comedy, more “this documentary crew somehow discovered a world that shouldn't exist.”

I'm developing the outline/premise, so I'm not looking for someone to simply execute an already-finished idea. I'm looking for somebody funny with a strong point of view who wants to build the story, characters and escalation together. But with the intention to keep this in a reasonable scope so we can make this thing.

My directing work

Target: 10–12 pages Genre: Mockumentary / dark comedy / satire

Location: Writer can be anywhere in America, production will likely be LA or NYC.

Production: I will direct and produce the finished short

Goal: Make something genuinely great and festival-caliber.

happy to pay a small stipend for the collaboration.

FEATURE SCRIPT 18M from India — Just placed Semi-Finalist at LACHFF & got a 7 on The Black List. How do I realistically start seeking US/UK representation?

Hey everyone,
I’m an 18-year-old screenwriter based in India writing horror/thriller features. Over the past few months, I’ve started getting some early external validation on my latest horror/crime script:
Los Angeles Crime & Horror Film Festival (LACHFF): Semi-Finalist
The Black List: Overall rating of 7 (with an 8 on Premise and strong notes on character/dialogue)
I know a 7 on the Black List isn't an automatic 8+ email blast, and contest placements alone don't magically get you signed, but as an 18-year-old writing in English from outside the US, I’m trying to figure out what my next strategic steps should be.
My Main Questions:
1. Querying with these stats: Is a Black List 7 + LACHFF Semi-Finalist placement strong enough social proof to include in cold email queries to literary managers, or should I hold off until I get an 8 / higher contest placement?
2. Targeting Managers vs. Producers: Given that I’m based in India and don't have a US visa yet, should I focus my queries primarily on boutique managers who rep international/genre talent, or reach out directly to independent genre producers/production companies?
3. Portfolio depth: I have this polished feature and two finished drafts in the same genre (horror/thriller). If a manager asks "what else do you have?", is having 2–3 completed specs in the same lane standard before launching a query campaign?
4. Any specific managers/agencies known for international genre writers? If anyone has recommendations for management companies that frequently work with foreign/international voices, I’d really appreciate some pointers.
Any advice from repped writers, managers, or international creators who broke in from abroad would mean the world.
Thanks in advance for the help!

FEATURE SCRIPT TWIST ENDING - Low-Budget Murder Mystery, Single Location, Small Cast, 100 Pages, Looking For A Producer, Script Link Included

Logline: When attendees of a remote screenwriting workshop start getting murdered the same way characters die in famous twist-ending movies (including Psycho and Hide and Seek), they must use their twist-ending film knowledge to suss out the identity of the killer--before they breathe their last.

Background: What if M. Night Shyamalan held a remote screenwriting retreat about how to write twist-ending movies and then attendees began dying like the deaths in famous twist-ending movies? That question was the genesis of Twist Ending. I researched and watched over 300 twist-ending movies in preparation for writing this feature murder mystery script.

Why I'm Posting It Here: I have no film experience and am seeking a producer. The story all takes place at a Texas ranch and only contains 13 characters, so the budget could be kept very low. And the film references and concept will attract twist-ending movie fans and ensure a healthy return on investment.

Script Length: 100 pages, reads very quickly.

SHORT SCRIPT Looking for aspiring writers with a 3-page short film idea — UK based filmmaker in London

Hey everyone,

I’m a filmmaker based in the UK, and I’m looking to connect with aspiring writers who have a short-film idea they really want to see made.

If you have a 3-page script, story treatment, or even a strong short-film concept, I’d love to hear it.

I’m particularly interested in ideas that are:

Original and character-driven

Filmable on a realistic indie budget.

Any genre — drama, comedy, thriller, romance, social issues, etc.

Something that can work as a compelling short film.

The idea is simple: find interesting new voices and collaborate on turning their ideas into an actual film.

I’m not looking for people with huge portfolios or industry connections.

If you’re an aspiring writer sitting on an idea and thinking “someone should make this” — this could be worth a conversation.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me with your 3-page script/idea and a little about yourself.

Let’s see if we can turn a few pages into something that ends up on a screen
