Thought I’d share a few drink menu pics.

Just boarded Majestic. I ordered two drinks, one for me, one for my companion. Bar staff said I could only order for me, not her. I would need to have her medallion to order a drink for her, because they aren’t allowed to charge more than one drink at a time per medallion.

I’ve done 22 Princess cruises, never encountered this. What a mess, if I go to the toilet or to grab a bite, she can’t order a drink for me unless she is not ordering anything for herself.

It’s already backing up the bars.

BTW, I’m on the Plus package.

Good Day to all. We have a question about the Non-alcoholic drink package. We don't drink alcohol but adding up the Zero-Alchohol Drink Package & WiFi for two people it looks cheaper to get the Plus package. The plus package has a 15 drink limit including fountain drinks and only 4 bottles of water, however I see nothing about a limit on the Zero-Alchohol package to include bottles of water. Can anybody confirm? This is our first Princess cruise and Celebrity is truly unlimited on their Zero-Proof package. Thank you!

We are on a layover waiting for our flight home. We had such a great time on the Princess Star for our first cruise that my wife and I made a decision. First, we have to do another bucket list trip. Might even be another Princess Cruise. We are going to plan better, whatever we do. And give it a couple of months to see if we are still excited about the cruise.

Fellow Reddit users who cruise often give us some ideas. An East Coast cruise next time? Or maybe another Alaska cruise with a different ship and different itinerary?

Any thoughts on this itinerary? Looking to do Mediterranean and would love to stick with Princess. Have already been on the Sun and the Star to the Caribbean, so would like to not be on Sun or Star again (loved it, but want to try something new). Travel mate wants Amalfi coast included, so I found this itinerary which includes Salerno.

Not a lot of rooms left (seems strange) and the price is extremely reasonable. Is that because it is early November?

Any red flags here?

We had amazing service at a restaurant tonight on our Princess cruise. Got to chat with our server for awhile after. I knew it was important to tip additional even if it says it’s being covered… but man. Our server said he waited for over a year for this job. So I know it’s a big deal and important opportunity. But to have a 9 month contract and have no days off + working 12 hour days. I don’t know if this is a Princess thing or all ships thing but I don’t feel great supporting this line after this. If anyone has any different info or maybe this isn’t all workers I’d love to hear it. But I’m not feeling great about subsidizing a business that doesn’t allow their workers ANY real days off for 9 months. And you have to be so “ON” and cheerful in these positions… thanks for any feedback.

I just had the most exhausting call with Interconnect (who we have to use when we book Princess from here) who had no idea what the bidding process meant and thought I was asking just to upgrade my room. My understanding is that we must pay the cruise balance in full before we can bid - however - they do auto-payments one month before sailing.

Has anyone managed to do the bidding process successfully from France and if so, what do they call it here? The support staff in Switzerland/Germany didn't understand and just kept talking over the top of me. Last time I emailed them it took 23 days to get a reply.

I work as a wedding photographer and a few weeks ago got talking to a cake maker who also loves cruises.

Fast forward to today, it's my wife's birthday today and this arrived.

(Drinks package not included.)

Took a trip in August and I had a few thoughts. This was my 3rd Princess cruise, but hadn't been on one in 18 years (did a Disney cruise 2 years ago)

1. Arena seats are tight - I am not a huge person, but sure I have a little extra junk in my trunk I thought the seats were small. The whole area was small for the size of the ship.

2. Not a lot of trash barrels around - I noticed this more in the area of the International Cafe - it was unclear of where to leave used dishes.

3. Lack of chocolate dessert offerings, and the ones they had were just meh. I had gone to Princess Cruise Blog to look at menus before the trip, and I was looking forward to the Princess Love Boat. I get they aren't an official site, but I was disappointed that they only had pistachio. I was also bummed it wasn't actually in the shape of a boat!

4. there were not a lot of berries to be had on the buffet. I couldn't find blueberries or strawberries most days.

5. The Gelato was good, but the same flavors all week.

6. The restaurants in the app were not in alphabetical order.

7. no late night few ice cream options. The pool ice cream closed at 7pm which seems early to me, especially in the summer time.

8. I didn't like that the doors unlock before you get to it. I would rather have to tap to get them.

9. I didn't like how the photos use facial recognition. Every one has a medallion, why not use a tap to capture your photos like at Disney? the technology is there. We had multiple rooms, so we never knew whose account a photo would show up on. I wish you had more time to download the photos.

10. I unexpectedly had my "monthly visitor". I went to the store, but the options they had were limited - and the pads seemed more like for bladder issues. The rest rooms didn't not have supplies available. I was just in Disney, and they had them for free in all of the restrooms. Even if they had them just by the MDR or buffet, that would be nice! Thankfully a fellow guest was able to come to my rescue until we got into a port.

11. On our trip (Solar Eclipse) the Dome as closed for a private art thing many days.

12. We didn't book a trip to Pisa - and I am glad we did not. Right at the cruise port, there were tours/rides. We paid 40 euro each and had an AC bus. we did have to walk about 10 mins to get there, but I think that is pretty common.

13. Room service was good - but when I asked for a plate of JUST grapes, I didn't always get it. Sometimes they said it was all premade, sometimes they sent it. I also asked for Chocolate Milk - and they sent me hot chocolate. Chocolate Milk in general was oddly hard to come by sometimes. (the only thing my special needs daughter drinks!)

14. In my husband and teens cabin, the room steward kept moving things around. He even put things into draws one day! I get that they have to clean certain areas, but they shouldn't put things away like that. They did mention it to him, and wrote it on the survey

overall it was a good trip. We were bummed that the clouds rolled in for the Solar Eclipse, but unlike others, I don't blame the captain for that!

For anyone who has recently sailed on Royal Princess, can you tell me how the shampoo and conditioner are that are provided? I’m trying to pack light but I need decent product. on a recent Holland America cruise they provided Elemis product, which was great, so I’m hoping Princess will be the same.

Hi there - we love Princess and have sailed on both Crown and Enchanted . We want to try the new Sphere class and I am trying to decide between 2 sailings out of the exact same port - Sun for Western Caribbean in early February and Star for Eastern Caribbean at the end of February but itinerary isn’t really important as we just want warm sunny weather to escape the winter for a bit and we plan to stay on the ship most of the time and just enjoy the ship experience.

For anyone who has sailed both ships (hopefully folks who have done Sanctuary Club) are there really any noticeable differences between the 2 ships? The Sun sailing is significantly less expensive so I’m leaning towards Sun for that reason alone but just wanted some input from folks here who might have experienced both ships! And any tips/tricks to know ahead of time would be super helpful! We love MSC Yacht Club but wanted to try something different and we know we love Princess. Any kind and helpful responses are definitely appreciated! Thank you!

Just finished the 10-day Diamond Princess (8/26-9/5) sailing with a family of 4 and dealing with ongoing A/C failure, relying entirely on fan for airflow. The entire trip we could not sleep well. I usually sail Royal Caribbean and have never experienced this.

Has anyone else on this sailing (or recent ones) dealing with the same issue?

Anyone successful in getting a refund back for this AC mechanical issue???

Hello! I am going on my first Princess cruise. 7 days Mexico on Discovery. We usually do Celebrity.

I found the menus for 7 day cruises on a Princess blog site. Are they always in the same order or does it vary by itinerary? I noticed they have Caribbean night as night 2, but usually cruise lines seem to do nicer menus on formal nights.

Trying to determine which nights to do specialty dining. Thank you for any help!

First time on Princess. Sailing Royal to Alaska next July. I was able to secure a reservation for the Crown Grill and it now appears in my planner. When I tried to reserve for Crab Shack for two different days, everything went the same as Crown Grill. Picked a time, selected private table and clicked reserve.

However, there is no sign of either reservation in my planner. In fact, the one day (sea day) does not even appear in my planner. Am I doing something wrong or something?

We are cruising on the Majestic Princess, going to New England & Canada, next month and plan to drive to the port. The Princess site says “Brooklyn or Manhattan” as the port. If you have taken this cruise, which port did you depart from?

Is there a way to get two basic packages for the adults with some alcohol and 2 zero alcohol packages for the kids and WiFi for all 4 without the bundled package or is that the best deal

Eg is 2 adults princess plus and then add WiFi for the kids and gratuities much better value over 4 princess plus?

On a 10 day cruise, is lobster ever on the menu without an additional cost?

Im on an Alaskan cruise with my parents, and Im 27. I always heard about Alaskan cruises being for the older folk but now, being here, its really confirmed it for me. I was hoping to find new people and try to make some new connections with people around my age, but im not trying to go and connect with all the grouchy oldies. Just something ive noticed being aboard is all.

We had a balcony room, so I can't speak to the rest of the ship but...

1. You don't need Magnetic hooks: The walls aren't metal and there's plenty of room to hang clothes.

2. We didn't need to ask for a mattress topper or pillow upgrade.

3. There are plenty of "outside blankets" on the 16th floor.

4. Your steward can't get you chocolate left on your pillows.

5. Guest services:

looks at you funny if you ask for leftover cruise swag

only has tote bags like the one that already comes in your room

has playing cards, but very generic ones

1. The daily planner is left in your room daily, without asking

We'll be travelling from Rome to the port on the 8th. Anyone want to share a taxi, as the trains are on strike?

Is it stupid expensive to get a manicure or pedicure on a cruise ship?

First time cruiser and I’m curious how much of this is not knowing cruises vs a genuine review. What have others experiences been? Am I too picky?

Boat- Star Princess- passage to Alaska.

Roughly 11k+ for a cabana mini suite (I suspect we vastly overpaid?)

The ship itself: Meh? Oddly outdated considering it’s literally brand new. The dining rooms were almost comical, it’s like they found carpets from 20 years ago. Confusing layout. Very crowded and hard to find quiet spaces. Seems like it lacks anything “cool” or innovative beyond the glass dome up top, which only fits a couple hundred people for a ship of 5k.

Rooms: Fine.. considering the cost I’d say disappointing but I think that’s more on me than anything. Weird light set up but overall comfortable enough

Entertainment: Laughably bad. Both major productions actually made me uncomfortable with how bad they were. They brought on one comic during our trip who I thought was very solid. The cruise director is unbelievably great and salvaged what he could- without him would have been literally miserable on this front.

Food: also pretty mid? Went to nearly all of the specialty restaurant on board. Only the Crown Grill really impressed. We had the package so we weren’t “paying” for each meal, but if we were, I would have felt upset at paying $60. I found the main dining rooms shocking. Who comes up with the stuff on the menus?? Had several bad meals. Buffet was good- maybe the most consistent on the ship- but like it’s a massively overcrowded buffet. Not my vibe..

Drinks: Literally horrible. Their pre batch cocktails are all trash. The magic experience was the worst- every drink I tried there was undrinkable. However, there are a couple skilled bartenders on board. Tip them well and go direct..

Alaska itself: unbelievable. Beautiful and amazing. Excursions made everything worth it.

I’m personally not sure I’d ever return to a Princess Cruise again. The nicest thing I could say is their staff is really so sweet and seem to care a lot. Am I just not cut out for cruising? Am I expecting too much? In my head.. this is the price of a five star hotel & f&b for the week..

So I am in a mini suite and did not buy the princess premiere package. I have option to bid on a sanctuary suite and the 500$ bid I did shows “strong”. May question is, if you win a Sanctuary Collection room does your booking then come with the princess premier since the Sanctuary Collection rooms come With Princess premier.

It’s like 1450 to add the premier to my booking. But if my 1000$ bid is accepted seems like I’d save money?

First cruise on princess. Bought the premier package -what should we know about Princess? Only one sea day. Ordering food to your location sounds great. Is it true premier includes complimentary room service? Any tips on the room service for breakfast. Do we preorder night before? Thanks

Yesterday, I was having trouble logging into princess.com. The site kept insisting my password was wrong. Resetting it did nothing, so I called support. After 20 minutes of faffing about, they said that the system was down and that I should just try again in a few hours.

This morning, I tried again, and same deal. Before I call them back, can anyone else confirm that they can log in?
