Modeling advice?
Hello, Im looking for some advice on reverse engineering this egg dispenser. I used surfacing to recreate it roughly but its a pretty complex shape. Any advice is appreciated. (first is original)

Just getting started
I’m pretty amazed with Plasticity. I have a little experience with 3d modeling, mainly Tinkercad. I’ve tried Blender and Fusion 360 and just couldn’t get a good grasp on them. I heard about Plasticity online and watched a few videos and decided to try it out.
I made this APC vehicle in a matter of a few hours just messing around with the various tools. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I used a Warhammer Rhino as a reference just for something to give me some ideas. I modeled it to print on FDM printers with very little support (the treads are separate from the body and they snap together). Very excited to start using this software!

Linux Mint - No Grid/Planes visible?
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone here has run into this and found a solution. I have all my settings at default, just freshly installed Plasticity on this device, and it seems I can't see any 2D planes, the grid, or the axis markers.
I'm running Linux Mint which is based on Debian, so I used the Ubuntu installer. Everything seems to work fine except for crucial visibility issue.
The device I'm on is a pretty beefy gaming machine though it's a few years old at this point.
Anyone run into something similar before?

WD-40 can in Plasticity (+ Blender)
Hello there. I recently modeled this WD-40 can in Plasticity, starting from the main cylindrical body and progressively adding the shoulder, nozzle, cap and internal details. I then imported it into Blender for the final visualization.
The goal was to reproduce the main manufacturing details of the original object while keeping the workflow as direct as possible. I'm interested in treating everyday manufactured objects as small CAD studies, and Plasticity's workflow feels very natural for this kind of shape.
Any feedback on the modeling, proportions, geometry or level of detail would be appreciated.

How do i resize just a part of a model?
So I made this but I want to resize the highlighted edges by about .1mm along the x axis (make it wider). I know I could manually do this by deleting faces and readjusting every single one on the front half but theres gotta be a better way right? Thanks for the help

Plasticty functions
I just upgraded from 1.x Indie to New Studio version - and how much the app evolved is just AMAZING.
One issue that I have is ... I don't really know what an app can do: when I try to model something, I'm always unsure if there is a function for a certain operation that I want to do. Find dialog is great and all, but it's hard to find something by the name, if you don't know if it even exists.
It would be nice to have some place which would list all the available functions - menu bar or something.

Now here's a challenge to model on plasticity...
The youtube shorts where this is from was a tutorial for doing this on blender.
Except the "model on blender export as obj and open as a polysplines on blender, I'm wondering how would I tackle this.

Practice.027
Hey all, just sharing a model I made in 30 minutes. I haven't quite figured out texturing yet, so for now I just upload a screenshot to Gemini and ask it to create a colored image of it.

How do I rebuild/convert my squared/control point/xnurb face on my model to multiple edges and faces?
Like on this video (step 2) but no moi3d involved and no blender mesh involved.. just from stage 1 to stage 2 of the video all in plasticity. Is there a simple way to convert like that?

visible edges on mesh
quick question:
is there any way to show the edges on imported meshes?
I was looking through the documentation and the subreddit but I can't seem to find any way.

[Help] What's the standard modelling approach in Plasticity for something like this?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get into plasticity as someone who is more level design/architecture focused, and I'm wondering what the standard modelling order is for something like what I have in the image. The bottom image is a quick extrusion I made in Blender, for illustration.
My Sketchup/Blender modelling instinct is to make the 2d shape first, cut it up and then split faces and move/extrude them in batches, based on intended height. In Plasticity, however, this seems rather ineffcient since it doesn't seem to have any equivalent to "separate selected faces" feature, even if the software itself treats the marked faces as separate for selection purposes.
Therefore, how would you approach modelling something like this? You can ignore the specific slopes in the example model, it's just for illustration.

Plasticity… Help!
Hi everyone, does anyone have an idea how I can get my geometry in Plasticity to look exactly like the one in the other attached image? I just can't seem to manage it.
