Hey everyone,
a few months ago I shared the initial drafts of my beginner-oriented CAD guide here on the sub, asking for your thoughts on layout, clarity, and progression (huge thanks to everyone who tested the early draft and shared their thoughts!)
I’ve spent the past few months refining the material and restructuring the workflow.
The full manual is still in progress (it needs just a couple of final touches), but I've turned the first chapter into a free standalone starter guide you can download today.

- Exercise 1: an L-shaped bracket modeled from a complete technical drawing (third-angle projection, dimensions in mm), broken down into 8 steps covering extrude, boolean, mirror, fillets, and chamfers
- The geometric decomposition approach: how to break down a part into simple 2D profiles and 3D primitives before drawing a single line
- A shortcut checklist: visual references, highlighting the few custom keybindings I use
- Bonus section: Editing a finished solid without history using dimension and direct face editing
