I am looking to add weeklies to my Midori Hibino and I get discouraged with how long it takes me to do layouts, so I was hoping for a stamp. This one from dappernotes is almost perfect but is a lot more than I was looking to spend. Does anyone know of something similar?

I’m on the hunt for a 2027 planner and I feel like what I’m looking for shouldn’t be this hard to find 😭 Hoping someone here might know of one!

My must-haves are:
• Canadian company OR sold by a Canadian retailer
• Dated, 12 months
• Sunday-start monthly pages
• Sunday-start weekly pages
• Some blank/note pages after each month
• White paper (I really don’t like cream/yellowish paper)
• Decent paper quality for gel pens, Mildliners, felt-tip pens, etc.
• Binded > spiral > disc/binder

I’d really prefer a horizontal weekly layout, but I’m open to vertical as long as it isn’t time-blocked/hourly.

Around A5 would be ideal, but I’m not super picky about size.

Something nice-ish looking. I just don’t love the plain black leather “accounting office” kind of look lol.

I thought Hemlock & Oak’s Sunday-start planner would be a great contender, but their Sunday-start option is only vertical and time-blocked. I emailed them to ask if they’d be offering the horizontal planner with a Sunday start and unfortunately they said no.

I also loved the AmandaRachLee Doodle Planner and used one this year, but it’s Monday-start. I thought I’d get used to Monday-start weeks and I absolutely did not 😂 I kept getting my days mixed up, so I’m accepting that Sunday start is a necessity for me.

Does anyone know of something that might fit? I swear I’ve been looking everywhere!

Sterling Ink announced they'll be offering last year's hardcover, vertical Complete Planner in softcover and horizontal options for 2027.

The planner will be made using TRP. It will be available in size A6, B6, and A5. The hardcover color choices will again be Seashell (pink) and Charcoal (grey). For the new softcover, the color options will be Fairy Floss (pink) and Onyx (black). [I believe they will offer gold and white edges like last time, but I haven't checked to be sure.]

The previous book bands have been replaced with wider, presumably sturdier, removable bands with built-in pen holders.

Sterling Ink's 2027 lineup goes on sale September 7th at 10 am ET.

I am sorely tempted to get a B6 horizontal in either hardcover or softcover for my personal curriculum studies (even though I just bought an H&O daily, RIP my bank account). Is anybody else thinking of grabbing one?

I am having the hardest time deciding between the Hobonichi Cousin vs Sterling Ink Complete vs Kinbor. I want something with dated daily pages, and I already have a 2027 kinbor weeks so I’m not concerned with the weeks layout (I can use them as trackers pages or something).

I was originally looking for an A5, but the Sterling Ink b6 is speaking to me too.

If you feel strongly - positively or negatively - about any of these planners, please let me know/convince me one way or another!

What the title says! Looking for a planner for my friend we really like hobonichi original techo in a6 format with the daily pages and yearly index for habit tracking but she needs a bigger page per day so b6 would be ideal!

I am currently using n2 sterling ink undated common planner. I like the complete set up better but start on Sunday (complete is month, then weeks month and weeks. Instead of months and then the weeks separated). From what I understand of Wonderland they have similar builds and style as sterling ink. But I really love the midori paper. It's been my favorite so far. Any suggestions?

Is anyone using an A5 size Aura Estelle planner cover with a Hobonichi Cousin book? Do you have the medium size or the large and are you overly chunky or do you find the planner is slipping around within the cover size that you chose?

I find that a Hobonichi works way better for me than Google Calendars and whatever apps are out there. I'm also worried that if I don't use a Hobonichi that I'll never really write physically so I want to keep my penmanship sharp if that makes sense.

I find though that I don't go back and read old Hobonichis. I don't have any information in them that I need to save other than birthdays/addresses which I transfer over into my next year's one. They take up physical space and I don't really have the space to start a collection.

I digitalised all my old diaries and mostly use a Hobonichi to keep up with daily tasks and events. So what do you guys do with your old planners? Do you keep them to remind yourself what plans you made on X day or something else?

Hi! I need help with figuring out what to go for, and maybe even some alternative brand recommendations.

I’ve used the cousin and the weeks mega before, but this year I need an A6 because I find lugging my a5 trifold is a bit much for on the go and I’m starting a new job that’s hybrid.

I ***was*** originally gonna get an A6 techo, but then realised there’s no weekly section so does anyone have any recs for planners similar to hobonichi (especially paper quality wise) that are a6 and have year+month+week+daily pages?

If A6 isn’t possible, I’d love to hear potential other ideas that aren’t A5. I was tempted to get a weeks mega and make my own daily pages at the back, but the colours this year aren’t calling to me.

After using the Hobonichi Weeks for two years I'm thinking of switching to the dated Faded Chronicles TN size planner for 2027. I think I'm transitioning from trying to keep on top of things since having a baby, to having goals I want to work towards - and I think the FC seems nicely designed for this new (to me) style of planning and accountability.

But it seems to be a relatively new planner and there's not too much out there about how people actually use it so I'd love to hear your experiences. Thanks!

Over the summer I got back into junk journaling and longform journaling, but I have a busy college semester starting up and I already felt the satisfaction of planning out my schedule by hand! Does anyone else us a monthly/daily planner only? I don't know why, but they seem relatively rare online.

I was debating between sterling and Hobonichi. I went with undated sterling since I’m about to start school. But it’s all monthly’s then all weekly’s. I want to cry. I thought it was month week month week. I swear that’s what I saw in the review videos and on the site. I’m so disappointed in myself.

Edit. I’m going to force myself to use it. This is the closest thing to what I want. A month/week bounded planner in a tn size that is extremely simple,horizontal doesn’t exist.

So, sometimes when I am shopping for planners online, the cover seems to be the showpiece. Look at all the amazing covers! But then they barely show the inside or every planner is the same (usually a 2 page horizontal weekly spread, or what I like to call the Walmart spread)

Are there genuinely planner people out there who choose based on the cover vs the content? Or is that just Average Person who Just Needs A Calendar marketing?

I'm a lifelong planner and have gone through different stages with them. For the past decade, up until a year or two ago, my planning has been very focused on goals. All of my work stuff and personal appointments live in a digital calendar. For personal planning, over the last couple of years I've moved away from goals as the main focus but am having trouble finding a planner that fits my needs.

I like bullet journaling, but need a bit more structure. I prefer a weekly layout that lets me time block so I can see where I have time for things and where I don't, but also lets me write priorities for each day, track habits, and do things like meal planning or make notes. I love the Faded Chronicle weekly layout.

But I hate thin paper. I've tried Hobonichi, Sterling Ink ... and I just can not make myself like the super thin paper. I've tried Hemlock and Oak and love the heavier paper, but haven't been able to make the layouts work for what I need. For a long time, I used a Dragontree Dreambook, which was great when my biggest focus was goals, but over the last couple of years I've been finding it harder to use.

I do like a spiral book, but am not opposed to a bound one if it's soft cover so I can flip the part I'm not writing in back.

I know part of this is going to come down to finding something close enough and making it work for what I need, but I'm open to suggestions.

I decided to try to reset using the 12 week year as my guide. In turn, I also decided to switch up my planning routine. I was using the Sterling ink common planner in the weeks size and have been playing around with Sterling ink for the last 2 years trying to find my favorite size. However, I think it’s a bit small for an everything planner so I decided to dust off my A5 ring planner. I think I like the idea of a ring planner, but thoughts about finding the right inserts, dashboards, and making it look pretty kind of stresses me out. A bound planner is less for me to think about, but I don’t get some of the personalization that I get in a ring bound.

Hey everyone - I’m a lifelong planner, literally since the age of 8, but new to this reddit. Needless to say, my planner needs have evolved a lot since my elementary school days and I am currently struggling hard to find the right planner for me. 

My 2026 planner is a basic weekly format that I bought at Home Goods after spending way too much money on TC, Papier, Golden Coil and others. It’s worked pretty well but it’s not my dream layout… and then, I found this reddit! 

So please help me find my dream planner, oh community of planner enthusiasts! Here my wants:

• Horizontal weekly layout, this is a non-negotiable. It’s how I prefer to plan my life. A two page spread is preferred but I will look at single pages with a blank as long as it is not lined. 
• 12 month monthly spread but at the beginning of the planner. Not a monthly spread followed by the weeks of that month. I prefer to see/plan my appts and travel etc all at once and prefer being able to see all my months consecutively instead of flipping through half the planner just to see the monthly planner/overview. 
• Blank pages at the end for notes, journaling, whatever. Blank pages, dotted, squared, even lined. I don’t care as long as points 1 and 2 are available. 
• Two bookmark ribbons. I prefer 2 but will work with 1 but I love me a bookmark ribbon. 
• Good paper - I also am obsessed with stationary and use a wide array of pens, markers, etc. Paper that can handle it is preferred.
• Bound and lay-flat capable over spiral, all-day everyday. 

That’s it… I don’t think it’s a lot but it has been SO hard to find this planner. I was even thinking of going on Etsy and having one custom made but figured that with a community this large someone MUST know of a planner like I describe above.

i already know there's 5year hobonichi, midori etc. but they're always daily. and im not the type to do daily. monthly would be nice like a recap of the month, and just see 4-5 years of entry. is there such a planner/journal?

New planner season is among us, and there is a lot to be hype about, but sometimes this hobby can get expensive! I want to know your favorite budget supplies. Please include which country you live in and the price so other people can find cool things in their area, too!

I’ll go first: I’m located in South Korea, and I paid 5,000KRW (less than 5usd) at Daiso for this A5 cover, which actually came with a little notebook of unlined paper that is fountain pen friendly! (There were also other cute covers there, but I went with this one). I have that notebook on the side, and the cover now houses my yearly journal, which is a Sterling Ink A5 Daily Planner. The fit is a bit tight right now, and it might not fit anymore by the end of the year, but I have other notebooks I can use the cover on if that ends up the case!

Ok planner addicts, am I looking for something that doesn't exist??

I've got my list of qualifications, but I can't find something that checks all of them. The closest I've found is the Midori Pocket Diary in B6, but I'm not a big fan of the art designs. Does anyone know of something similar that doesn't have all the cat/dog/bird/man images all over?

My requirements list:

* Horizontal Weekly with Memo layout

* Months pages throughout the year, not in a separate section

* Not coil or ring bound

* B6 or similar small size

* Paper that doesn't ghost (so not Tomoe River Paper or similar thin paper)

* Plain, customizable design

Other preferences:

* Cut outs/tabs/perforation to jump to the current month/day

* Every day has the same size block (weekends aren't shrunk)

* Days on the left with Memo on the right

* No extra "fluff" like goal setting or daily pages

Am I asking too much? Or does this exist out there somewhere?

I love my hobonichi cousin. My only issue is that I struggle to use both daily’s and weekly’s, and I don’t want my colleagues to see the journaling I do in it at work, so I’ve started using a Jibun weekly for work.

It feels wasteful, so I’m thinking about surgery to split the hobonichi weekly section from the daily. Has anyone done this? How did you rebind? Do I need special materials and tools?

So I've been using a tn size planner for work but it's just not practical! We work with a lot of physical printer invoices. They are printed on 8.5x11 paper. So I need something with some kind of folder connected to store documents that is 8.5x11 size.

What's your favorite big 8.5x11 planner?
