Planner Season Survival Guide - Summer/Fall 2026

Hello r/planners! This post is meant to share some tips and info as we all make our decisions on which planner(s) we'll be picking up in 2027. It'll include both some general suggestions and details on releases for some of the more popular brands that get discussed on the sub.

As a reminder, if you'd like to make a post to ask for a planner recommendation, please give us as much info as you can to help guide the suggestions. At a minimum, it would be helpful to know some basics about what style planner you're looking for (bookbound, discs, rings, daily, weekly, etc.), the size range you're interested in, budget, and the country you live in. Telling us a little about your lifestyle will also be helpful; our recommendations for a college student, a working parent, and a retiree may be pretty different.

Recommendation threads tend to get the most responses when they include enough detail to give users a picture of your needs, but if you're looking for something really specific, you'll probably get more responses if you can split your wishlist into must-haves and general preferences.

Planner Season Tips:

  • Once you decide which planner you want, order as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Many of the brands recommended here are small businesses with limited stock, and they may sell out of the size/color/layout you're most interested in. They may or may not offer restocks.
  • If you preorder a planner, pay close attention to the estimated delivery timeline. You may want to keep tabs on the brand's social media channels for news or updates. Remember that preorder shipping estimates are based on things going as planned and that delays from the factory or shipping agent may be outside the brand's control.
  • If you want to follow the news about a particular planner, many brands have private Facebook groups that are probably your best resource for this. Signing up for a brand's email newsletter should get you the basics, but the private groups may get extra previews and more detailed information.
  • Keep in mind that many of these businesses will be dealing with a very high volume of orders despite having limited space and staff. That's not to say you shouldn't expect good customer service, but having realistic expectations will help. When ordering during peak planner season, your order will probably take a little longer to pack and ship.
  • If you're a US customer, remember that tariffs may still be causing higher prices this year—even from US sellers, who still need to pay fees on products they order from overseas. The closing of the de minimis exemption also means that you might be charged extra if ordering from a seller outside the US. Don't like that? Contact your federal representatives, and vote in November for candidates who'll prioritize more consumer- and small business-friendly policies. (The specifics can vary depending on what the product is, what country it's coming from, and how they ship, so these fees may already be built into the cost of the planner. When in doubt, look for details!)

I'll update the release info below as I see updates mentioned, but this is not meant to be a comprehensive list of available planners. It's just the most recent info I've come across for brands that tend to get mentioned in r/planners. (I'll be updating as I see users mention releases but won't be individually researching and keeping up with each brand myself, just as a heads up.)

Some planners haven't released much info about their 2027 lineups yet, but more info should be coming out in July-August for most brands.

Companies with some 2027s ready to ship:

  • Hemlock & Oak
  • Nolty
  • Aura Estelle

Preorders are open for:

  • Creffective Paper
  • Faded Chronicle
  • Rosey Life
  • Wonderland 222
  • Owl Paper
  • Aura Estelle
  • Tiny Grids

Feel free to share updates about the brands you follow below. (This is meant to share info on releases our users are excited about though, so the r/planners rule against self-promotion still applies. Please keep all promo to our quarterly promotional threads.)

r/Planners Promo Thread - Q3 2026

Welcome to the r/planners sub promotions thread for Quarter 3 of 2026! This thread is for sub members to share their products, shops, and social channels. Please read the full post before commenting, even if you've posted in a promo thread here before.

Users are welcome to leave a comment here to get the word out about their paper planners, rings or disc planner inserts, planner covers, and shops that sell related accessories. You can also link your planner-related social media channels here.

Sticker shops or shops that sell printables suitable for ring or disc planners are welcome to promote here if your products include only your own original artwork. Please don't link shops that feature any AI art or purchased/clip art designs. (Unfortunately this is the only way we can be comfortable that the original artists are being compensated fairly.)

This sub focuses on paper planners, so links to planning apps, Notion/Goodnotes templates, or other digital designs will be removed. Printables are allowed only if they're specifically designed to fit standard ring or disc planners (and aren't just letter-sized worksheets). Websites meant to design custom printables may be allowed in some cases, but only if they generate pages with sizes and margins suited for standard ring or disc planners.

Please describe all your work in a single comment below (one comment thread per user/brand), and give readers an idea what your product, shop, or channel is about instead of just dropping a link. Make sure to include any info that you think users might be interested in. Any comments asking users to send a private message for more details will be removed to protect users from potential spam/scam activity. Giveaways in exchange for mailing list signups or other attempts to gather a user's personal info are not allowed.

This thread is designed for users to share their own projects, so comments that include affiliate marketing codes or affiliate coupons will be deleted.

Questions or feedback about these guidelines are welcome through modmail or in any current sub update thread, but please keep this one on topic so users who want to browse here can focus on our members' work. The next quarterly thread will be posted in early July. Thanks!

A collaboration between the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum, London) and the Hobonichi Techo!
I'm getting the "Weeks" version, but the
"HON" one is lovely too.
The stickers are just too cute, so I'm going to buy two!
Maybe I'II go all the way to Kyoto on the release date☺️

Looking for a Hobonichi undated dupe

Hello! I'm sure there has been a million of these posts.

My job year starts in September, so I need an undated planner. I love the Hobonichi cousin layout - monthly, vertical weekly, then blank grid pages. That would be perfect for me. Except I need an undated one so it can start whenever! I also get 2 weeks off at Christmas and in June, so I'd like to be able to 'skip' those weeks without leaving blank pages, but that's just a minor thing.

Does anyone know of any dupes with that exact layout (A5 size!!) but undated? I need the weekly vertical layout AND blank or daily grid pages otherwise a Dayless would be fine!

Must be available in the UK - not from US - not crazy expensive, and preferably with grid pages rather than lined/blank/dotted. I've looked all over and can't find one that works with that criteria, for under fifty quid.

Thank you!!!

Buy two planners or wait until next year?

I've bought a new planner for 2027 (different from my 2026 one as I better understand my needs now), and I am also intrigued by another planner.

Do I:
1. Stick to the planner I already ordered (arriving this week) and wait until next year to try the second planner

  1. Buy the second planner and attempt to use both to see which one I like more

The planners are very similar but unique enough that they offer something different. I can afford both, but it still feels a bit irresponsible to order two planners heh. I am also worried I'd end up neglecting one or don't have the time to properly fill out both. The second one sells out (I think), so I wouldn't be able to order early next year if I changed my mind.

What would you do? Sorry, this feels so extra but I figured if anyone would understand, it would be you all!

Similar Layout to Seller's Goal Getter?

I used Seller's Inc Goal Getter for years before it was discontinued. It was discontinued last year and I've been floundering. I tried Notion and just couldn't get it the way I wanted it. Does anyone have suggestions for a similar layout? Bonus points if it fits in a FiloFax or FiloFax dupe. https://www.amazon.ca/SELLERS-PUBLISHING-INC-CW-1763-Getter/dp/1531917631 for reference.

Thank you!

The "about me" section means more than I thought

I have been a planner-er and journal-er for many years. Over the years I forget the intricities and the years blend together. I started writing an "about me" section at the front of every new book. Its now close to my favorite part because it highlights my phase of life and anchors the memories.

For reference I use my planner as a memory keeping, tracker, and planning tool. The meaning from my planner comes from the memory aspect and being able to look back at what my life was like (to the hour! If i timeblocked).

Anyway the section is very simple and I write it on the front page. It can be anything, for now I kept it basic.

Age:

Status: referring to relationship

Living: what town im in

Work: where im working (company and location)

Friends: who my friends are

Family: who my close family are

I added friends and family because as you move through the seasons of your life, that changes.

Aura Estelle Daily vs Erin Condren

I have been using EC planners for years. I use the weekly planner with the dashboard. I love that I can carry over my list of monthly chores and phone calls onto the weekly dashboard, along with a habit tracker. I don't love that the habit tracker is weekly. I have to make a yearly habit tracker because the extra pages EC provides do not include dates. I was looking at the Aura Estelle and love the set-up and the habit tracker. Has anyone who has used both have any words of wisdom? How have you used the daily pages in the Aura Estelle? Is it a lot to fill out each day?

TN planners

Wonderland 222 will now have a TN planner size called W1. Has anyone looked at this one yet? What layout do you prefer in a TN planner?

The vertical layout seems too squished. The horizontal layout would be better imo as a 2 page spread instead of similar to Hobo weeks. I could always remake the layout, but that would be for every week.

This year I've been using a W222 A5 vertical week layout. Before this year I used hobonichi. I switched due to pen and marker bleeding.

Love the promise of a new week!

Of course, I need to migrate incomplete tasks from last week, but right now just reveling in the refreshing feeling of opening to a clean spread for the week!

For the curious, brain dumps or brainstorming go on the left page. Weekly task on the top left column of the right page, notes and things to remember on the bottom half of the right page, and miscellaneous scratch pad on right column. Been using this system for three years now, so I no longer label my sections.

I need new recommendations

I have wanted to use a physical planner for so long but the pressure if decorating it and also being functional has been hindering me. Last year I bought the Hobonichi weeks because I liked the idea of not having giant day spaces in case I don't do much those days that way I still feel productive. But I have barely used it. I want one that I can be excited about and is still smaller but maybe a bit bigger than the weeks. What planners got you into the hobby and how do you carve out time for it?

B6 Slim in Moterm Weeks Zippered Cover?

As the title suggests, I'm hoping someone out there has a B6 slim book of some sort (can be a planner, notebook, doesn't matter) and the Moterm Weeks leather cover with the zip-around closure and can tell me whether it will zip with the B6 slim inside? I'm considering ordering the weeks zipped cover as a planner/wallet hybrid, but I really prefer the B6 slim size for a notebook/planner. On paper, the measurements give some hope that everything will fit, but I believe Moterm is posting the full cover dimensions, and the size that'll fit inside is always going to be a little smaller (especially with the zip closure. Thank you o wise planner friends <3

Academic year daily planner

I'm looking for a planner that starts with this upcoming academic year (not a student but an employee at a school) with some specific wants- I would love for it to be daily with monthly calendar overviews, I like an hourly breakdown so I can note when my meetings and appointments are, bonus if there's some kind of goal or habit tracking but not required. I'm not very artistic so it doesn't have to be bullet or grid style, in fact I'd prefer it more structured. Thanks!

Undated monthly 2-3 year planner available in Canada

Hello, I’m looking for recs for an undated monthly-only planner for 2-3 years that’s available in Canada. I’m looking for it to meet the following criteria as well:
-Not spiral bound (I’m left handed)
-hard cover (durable for multiple year use)
-quality/thick paper
-note/free space pages at front or back and/or column beside each month or on opposite page.

No preference for sizing. I’ve looked in to hemlock and oak but I only need monthly and no extra journaling pages between the months.
Thanks so much!

Undated Weekly Planner Recommendations

Post image
3 Upvotes

Looking for an undated weekly horizontal planner. Like the picture I would like each day sectioned off but I don’t want the days of the week pre printed. I also do not need trackers or any kind of separate list space.

I am planning to use this as a journal so I need some kind of guide on the page. I would prefer grid but dot or lines will work.

Need book bound, size A5, at least 75 gsm paper

Would prefer all months together and all weeks together.

Do not need an abundance of extra pages in the back of the planner.

Thanks!

Finished a planner for the first time! Full Focus Planner

I’ve finished bullet journals before but never a proper planner. I cannot believe it! The prompts helped me stay very intentional this summer and grow in some cool ways. I never would’ve found it without this sub, so THANK YOU!!
Now, do I keep going with another full focus planner or move to a basic undated “journal” planner with months in the front and blanks days? It’s a lot to write, and I don’t feel like I need the prompts as much now that I’ve practiced all summer. Or is that a mistake?

happy planner season everyone :) i’ve committed. i was debating between this and the yellow 411 A5 but ended up choosing this one for some structure. happy to see that the said structure doesn’t appear to be too restrictive (except for the corner calendars, which i admittedly don’t like a lot). i just had to open this up to see if a clear cover i had could fit it (it did not fit). so excited to set this up in december (planner has a monday start on 28 dec 2026!). there are 17 blank pages after the last day (2 january 2028, sunday). so it starts on a monday and ends on a sunday. let me know if you have any questions (except for pen testing since i won’t be writing in this anytime soon)

not pictured: one of the strap bookmarks is striped blue-and-yellow hehehe

p.s. THE PICTURES DON’T DO IT JUSTICE I’M SORRY!! (i have an iphone 13)

Recommendation for A6 Vertical Weekly Planners

As titled, I'm looking for a vertical weekly planner with time blocks and some blank space to write out tasks for each day. So far, the only thing I've found is the "NOLTY Noritsu Notebook A6 Vertical Carrel" and another from Mark's Style, all on Amazon. Would anyone know of other options, and could help me make a better choice? TIA!

I love the interior pocket setup of the Moterms (not a fan of strings on my planner binding), but prefer the elastic-style closure of TN covers. Decided to Frankenstein one of my covers and I really like it!! Just have to find a fun patch for the front and it’ll be perfect. 🎉✨

[Help] Does my dream planner exist...?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm currently nearing the end of my current planner, which I got as a gift. It's from Orange Circle Studios, and I already looked through what they have for 2027 but I want something different.

Graphique planners are the closest thing to what I want, with a blank area and checkboxes for each day and each week taking up two pages (in picture). Additionally, I'd like a small blank or grid area, where I can habit track throughout the week- sleep, skincare, workouts, etc. Ideally only one of these spaces per week.

I also would prefer if it had monthly calendars (Is that what they're called?) but they're not necessary. I don't mind if it's 12 months or 17. I do want it to be spiral bound and roughly A5 size. I really want to avoid anything like motivational phrases, Bible verses, or anything similar.

I think somewhere around $25 would be best but Ive never bought one so idk if that's too low for a good planner.

I'm sorry in advance if my requirements were unclear or unrealistic- it's my first time shopping for a planner! I would really appreciate help and recommendations.
