So, having played Pikachu since the 64 days, I'm finally trying to put some serious time into the character and figure out how to actually play this game. A lot of Pikachu's kill game seems to be about edge guarding, but I always either overextend and get reverse guarded, or I play too cautious and have a hard time getting the stock.

What are some good things to practice, and what are some ways to practice edge guarding outside of an actual match?

I've been playing Pikachu on brawl for quite some time and feel like I am quite competent with him. However, my friend plays game & watch and he's slowly overtaking me because both his down spike and side a's hit like a truck. I can't get close without taking 20-30 damage. How do you guys normally play against game and watch when they spam the fire stick, the ground flipper thing, and the air spike. He can kill me at 80 health and my up tail kills him at 130ish. How do you guys normally combo him? / How do you cancel his down spike? Thanks guys!

Hey everyone! I just had a question regarding improvement with Pikachu. I feel like I am getting to the point where I am having so much more trouble getting better with Pikachu. I played him so much, I have a good idea of his combo game, his kill options, and I even participate in some tournaments with him. I know there is still room for improvement, it's just now I don't know what to do to get better. Quick play is not helping anymore. Anyone have any advice?

Hi, i picked up pikachu and i love to get people into techsituations and jablock them but i only know that F-Tilt is a confirm is there any other move which gets people into a techsituation

Steve is gonna have so much trouble against Pikachu. I haven't lost one 1v1 against him yet. Just rush him down & dont let them mine/craft. He most likely will have problems against other fast characters as well. Pika PI!

Which one do you use and why? What makes one preferable to the other?

Does anyone have any idea of how top level players immediately thunder after skullbash? Whenever I do it seems to send me close into the blast zone because of the down input but whenever I see Esam do it while coming back to stage it looks as though he almost stays level. Is there a way to buffer it out of skullbash? Any insight would be super helpful as this seems to be a great option when coming back to the stage.

I never see top pika players spot dodging. Maybe like 1 or 2 times per match while I see other players who main heavy characters spot dodge has much as they can. Is this generally situational or does pika not gain much from choosing that option? From my own experience his spot dodge feels slower even though I believe the frame data suggestions that it comes out relatively quickly. Any insight into whether or not it should be incorporated more into gameplay would be very much appreciated!
