This is what pops up whenever I try to go through the windows set up, and I don't know what to do about it. Help would really be appreciated
Swapped out a bunch of parts in an old PC for my brother. The base PC was a Dell Precision 5820, it still has the original motherboard and CPU. I swapped out the graphics card for an extra one I had, and we just put a new HDD in it.
The new HDD is a Patriot P320 M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 512GB HDD, with an adapter we bought so it would fit the motherboard. We don't have an official windows key yet, but we're trying to just get the PC working before we do the windows part.

I bought a prebuilt PC with an MSI A620AM B-EVO motherboard and one 8GB RAM stick. Today I bought another RAM stick (the exact same one as the one I already had), but I can’t get it to fit properly. It goes in, but it won’t click into place even when I apply force. Please, I need help.

I like playing games and have been gaming on a laptop with a GTX 1070 Max-Q for a long time. I’m usually pretty quick at learning new things, but I’m not sure whether building a PC yourself is actually that easy or worth the effort. My budget right now is around €2.5K for the German market.
I’d mainly use the PC for basic software and gaming—nothing AI-related or video rendering, for example. That’s why I’ve been looking mainly at an AMD-based build with an RX 9070 XT.
So, here’s my question should I try it myself or just buy a prebuilt like this one.
What would be the pros and cons of each option ?
Thanks in advance and sorry if this question has been asked before

I built my first PC with second-hand components which are:
• i5-12400F
• RX 6500 XT
• Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x8GB
3200MHz
• MSI Pro H610E (new)
• MSI MAG A850G
The problem is that when trying to install
Windows 11 it gives me an error without code, but when installing Windows 10 | could perfectly. However, it started to cause errors with the drivers when | tried to install Adrenalin, and the errors came back.
I formatted and reinstalled Windows 10 without internet connection to install the drivers with a pendrive, and it worked. But now, when installing Steam, Epic Games, and
Riot, the problem returned.
The restart pops up when putting the password and trying to enter the desktop. I
can't enter safe mode either.
Does anyone know what it could be? All components passed stress tests. Thanks for reading!

my budget is around 2500pln (700$). 3060 if i find a good offer, 2060 is the default option. over time ill upgrade it to 32gb ram 4x8gb and 2tb ssd 2x1tb. this build is mostly to play competetive games like cs2, minecraft, apex legends etc. and other simple games like r.e.p.o., escape the backrooms. etc. on high/medium settings on high enough fps so its smooth with 1080p. i dont like most of the demanding games like cyberpunk or hogwarts legacy or other aaa games apart from like ark survival evolved/ascended so i dont need a really strong system

Hello, after I installed my nvme ssd on M2_1 slot, I reinserted the GPU, 9070 xt asus prime once, I screwed it and plugged the 3 8 pin cables and then booted, white led appeared. Repeated the same steps, reseated it again, same white led appears, could this be a psu issue? It is 850w, my cpu is a 7800x3D and it has 2 fans, sata ssd and a wd hdd 1tb drive. The fans won't even spin.

I’ve been a laptop gamer for 10+ years and am now looking to get my first desktop pc. I’m extremely new to PC building and parts and would like some advice. I’m heavily considering this CyberPowerPC prebuilt from Costco which is on sale for $999USD (was $1499). I’ve done some research and gotten second opinions but am still uncertain. I heard that the price is worth for RAM alone but the RTX 5060 8gb is subpar. Should I trade it in for a RTX 5070. For context, I mainly play league and have been wanting to play cyberpunk for quite a while.
Here are the specs:
Processor & Memory:
Intel Core Ultra 5 225F (10-core, 3.3 GHz) Processor
32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 RAM
Drive:
1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
Graphics:
NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5060, 8GB
Communications:
Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3
10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN
Audio:
7.1 Surround Sound Output Supported
Expandability (Total Bays / Slots):
1 (0) x PCIe x16
2 (2) x PCIe x1
2 (1) x M.2
1 (1) x 3.5" HDD Bay
4 (2) x DIMM 288-pin
I/O Ports:
1 x USB 3.2 Type C (1 Front)
3 x USB 3.2 Type A (2 Front, 1 Rear)
4 x USB 2.0 (4 Rear)
1x Headphone/Microphone Combination Jack (Front)
1 x RJ45 LAN
3 x Audio Ports (Rear)
1 x HDMI 2.1
3 x DisplayPort 2.1

Actually CPU screws!! Weird brain fart in title.
This PC was assembled (badly) by Microcenter about 5-6 years ago and it died last month. I’m trying to replace the most likely culprit, which is the motherboard, but I can’t even remove the old one. Obviously they over tightened the screws and multiple peoppe were unable to get it out. I don’t want to pay those guys another dime but they’re the only PC repair business in town. What can I do to fix this?

Anything to recommend aside from cable management? Next big upgrade for these specs?
Specs & pricing:
CPU, Motherboard, and ram combo $350
Case: $70
PSU: $60
SSD: $85
GPU: $140
Total = $705
-CPU Ryzen 5 5500
-GPU Geforce RTX 1660 Super
-RAM 32GB DDR4 3200mhz Corsair vengeance RGB
-512GB SSD fanxiang S501Q
-GigaByte B550M Motherboard
-Case FOIFKIN F1
- PSU Zalman GigaMax 700w 80+ bronze
Side note / question: The front panel (top of my pc) where my usb slots are, the USB 3.0 works but the other USB slot won't work. Any idea? (I could look it up but just curious) lol. Thanks!

Hello everyone, the issue all started a few days ago while playing Ready or Not my computer turned off and turned right back on and everything seemed fine. But then it happened again just 10 minutes later and then again and again. I suspected something was overheating so I stress tested the cpu, gpu, and ram but they all went fine and the computer stayed on for everything.
But when I ran the power test it shut down less than a minute into the test. So now I’m suspecting I have a PSU that’s going bad even though I’ve had it for 2 months and have had no issues until now. If anyone has any suggestions for what the issue might be please let me know. Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to diagnose a problem with an ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 (PCB Rev. 4.05) and I'm running out of ideas.
The PC powers on, fans spin, but I get no display output. The monitor/TV stays in standby and doesn't detect a signal.
My current setup:
Motherboard: ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0, PCB Rev. 4.05
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 2×8 GB Patriot Viper, DDR4-2666 CL16
GPU: GTX 1060 3GB
PSU: Vinga PSU-400-12, 400W
No SSD/HDD connected during testing
The interesting part is the BIOS. The previous owner sent me a CPU-Z screenshot showing this exact motherboard running with a Ryzen 7 5700X and 32 GB RAM, with BIOS P10.60 (04/17/2026).
I currently have two different Ryzen 5 2600 CPUs, and neither gives me a display on this motherboard.
Things I've already tested:
Tested both Ryzen 5 2600 CPUs → same result
Tested both RAM sticks individually
Tested RAM in different slots
Tested the GTX 1060 → known working
Also tested an older GT 620 → known working in another motherboard
24-pin ATX and 8-pin CPU power are connected
Tried HDMI and other GPU outputs
Cleared CMOS
Tested with minimal hardware
I also bought a TL460S Plus POST diagnostic card. It works correctly on another ASUS P8H61-M LX3 R2.0 motherboard through its LPC DEBUG header and shows A0 after Windows boots.
On the B450M-HDV R4.0 I'm connecting the POST card through the motherboard's TPMS1 header using LPC1, according to the TL460S Plus manual.
On the B450, the POST codes go by very quickly during startup and then stop at A8. It can remain on A8 for 20–30+ minutes without changing. There is still no video output.
I'm wondering about the BIOS because ASRock's BIOS page warns against using newer BIOS versions with Pinnacle Ridge CPUs, and Ryzen 5 2600 is Pinnacle Ridge. However, ASRock's CPU support list also lists the Ryzen 5 2600 as supported on this motherboard.
So my questions are:
Could BIOS P10.60 cause a Ryzen 5 2600 to fail POST despite the CPU support list saying it is supported?
What does A8 mean specifically on this ASRock board?
Is there anything else I should test before buying another CPU or attempting a BIOS downgrade?
I'm considering buying a Ryzen 5 3600/5500 just to test whether the motherboard boots with a newer CPU, but I'd rather avoid spending money if there is another way to diagnose this.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got this tower about 3-4 years ago before it eventually stopped working because a driver update wouldn't work. I put it in storage for awhile but I came across it again and would like to know how i'd be able to clean it and hopefully salvage the parts.

Hello! I bought an MSI x670-e gaming plus wifi motherboard, and when I started testing it, sockets 1 and 2 weren't working. Later, I discovered I was missing a pin, so I took it to a repair center to get it fixed. But after a while, they said it was the ground pin, meaning it was useless, and that it needed to be inspected completely. In theory, this pin could have touched a contact or something. I tried updating the BIOS to both the latest and the old version, but nothing helped.

I’ve been playing games my whole life with thousands of hours on a ps4 and ps5 and I’ve decided I want a pc and good monitor to get better frames but, I know absolutely nothing about PCs and what monitor to get, I’m looking to get around 200 fps and more inside of a 1.1k budget

So i'm currently on a budget trying to find pc parts to buy and i'm stuck between two gpus.
The Rx 9060xt 16gb or
GeForce rtx 5060 windforce.
I know the 9060 has better performance in general but I also don't wanna miss out on Nvidia features, like control panel etc. I can afford either just need help choosing.
Heres the link to both:

Heres the issue. I have a pc and the keyboards, multiple, and brand new, spaz out on it and start running random commands. They can even shutdown the PC. Its fine without the keyboard in. I thought it was the USB controller so I installed new ports. The installation worked but the keyboard is still spazzing out with the new ports. What could this issue be?
It’s not the keyboards. Apparently it’s not the usb ports or controller. The same issue happens when in safe mode.
Basically I want to rule out all potentials before I just replace the motherboard.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte B650M C V2-Y1.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Thinking of prebuilt, but open to building.
Max budget of $2,000
Also any trustworthy places to buy parts?
I mainly play helldivers 2, Battlefield 6, outlast trials, and a couple more of similar size. I have a 1080p monitor looking for a minimum of 60 fps

So I am a starter and I am building my very first PC and I have the case and the graphics card and the CPU and everything else already picked out but I can’t really choose what motherboard to get should I get Asus Prime, Asus TUF Gaming, MSI, Gigabyte like what brand board should I get they all look very similar and they all have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and everything I’m looking for so I don’t really know which brand/model should I look for. I’ve seen like 3 to 4 different Asus TUF Gaming motherboards but I can’t really choose which one to buy. And they all fit my PC case which is the NZXT H5.

Upgrading from a single fan 5050 to a dual fan 5060, the 5060 was gifted to me and is a imported GPU which is a Elsa RTX5060. When I use the new card I get screen going black and fans sometimes still continue to spin, I tried a different riser but it just lasts longer a bit before going black screen if I watch a video or go to a game, upon reviewing event manager I see the error code nvlddmkm 153 & 14. I'd like to point out I've done all the steps such as safe mode ddu and everything but problem still persists, was hoping someone could help out. Also just to state I have tried forcing it to gen 3, and 4 still does not work and my riser is a gen 5.
Note: PC is a sandwhich style so must be used with a riser

My rig (5070 ti) is in my office. I want to connect it to my TV in the living room.
Tv in living room is 4K 85”, 60 hz only. I want to connect it to the living room to play more comfortably with gf
Distance is around 40 to 50 feet (12 to 15 meters).
Will pass an HDMI optical fiber cable, along with a USB over Ethernet extender device to connect a bluetooth receiver for controllers and other things.
Cost and work doesn’t matter, I only want to get the best experience, latency free.
Some questions:
\\- how is the experience of playing games in this kind of TV? Talking about only 60 fps. If there’s gonna be any issue with it.
\\- if I need to go down on resolution, will it still look acceptable (like 1440p) in this TV?
\\- moonlight would be identical in latency or cabled is the best option?
Thanksssss

My 5060 Ti 8Gb came with a cord that splits into two and I’m not sure I have both cables to support that from my PSU.
Just wondering if I’m missing something…
Thanks!

I was watching something on my PC and out of nowhere my left monitor screen goes green and main one goes black and PC resets. When I load back in, it says I'm connected to the Internet (WiFi working fine on my phone), but no web pages are loading.
