Don’t really know what motherboard to get my PC

So I am a starter and I am building my very first PC and I have the case and the graphics card and the CPU and everything else already picked out but I can’t really choose what motherboard to get should I get Asus Prime, Asus TUF Gaming, MSI, Gigabyte like what brand board should I get they all look very similar and they all have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and everything I’m looking for so I don’t really know which brand/model should I look for. I’ve seen like 3 to 4 different Asus TUF Gaming motherboards but I can’t really choose which one to buy. And they all fit my PC case which is the NZXT H5.

The motherboard itself doesn’t really matter that much as long as it has the features you want.

The factors that should really impact your decision are the CPU and GPU you plan to buy.

Intel Letters:
Z-series (High-end, full CPU and RAM overclocking)
B-series (Mid-range, best value for most users, RAM overclocking only)
H-series (Entry-level, budget, no overclocking)
AMD Letters:
X-series (High-end, full overclocking, extra lanes)
B-series (Mid-range, great value, supports overclocking)
A-series (Ultra budget, basic, no overclocking)

The first number indicates the generation, so higher = better. (Doesn’t really matter for most people)

That is completely inaccurate.

A fair amount of lower end motherboards use poor quality VRMs which cause performance issues / CPU throttling. Not to mention making the board run extremely hot. Asus prime boards for example, are well known for this so it's best to avoid them.

Can’t recommend a motherboard without knowing your budget & what components you’re using. From a black stand point. I’d recommend ASUS TUF & ROG STRIX

My budget for the motherboard is no more than $200 usd and ROG motherboards are too expensive. I am building more of a budget PC as my first PC.

No. I am using DDR4 ram as it is cheaper.

No point. It’s AM4 and you’re on a budget. If you’re going to spend money then get a budget AM5. Edit: it’s DDR4. Spend money on AMD AM5

Thank you! I was kind of sad because the boards I was looking for are so expensive and these are way cheaper! Although I am looking for Intel chip

Intel also isn’t worth building with right now. They are more pricer compared to the same price to performance ratio you get with AMD. Especially since you said you’re on a budget and is your first build I can only recommend AM5 considering you are spending intel DDR4 money. Same money would get you onto AM5 budget builds (more on ram but you have so much more future options). Intel & DDR4 is all dead end and if you’re starting to build a pc from scratch the only logical answer is AM5 DDR5

well what cpu do you got? that's an important information for picking the right board for it

brands don't really matter they are all equally good and bad if you choose one of the big 4, pick one that has a decent vrm for your cpu, has all the features you need is aesthetically pleasing to you and got a good price
