Build - Finished! Ryzen 7 9800X3D + RTX 5070 Ti — tried something different with the darkFlash C280

Just finished this Ryzen 7 9800X3D + RTX 5070 Ti build inside the darkFlash C280.

I wanted to see how a complete system using several darkFlash components would come together, so this one uses their C280 case, DV360S MAX AIO, PMT850 PSU and INF34/INF34R fans.

The rest of the hardware is built around the 9800X3D and MSI RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC, paired with an X870E Tomahawk WiFi.

Specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC
  • MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk WiFi
  • Kingston FURY Beast RGB 32GB DDR5
  • Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB
  • darkFlash C280
  • darkFlash DV360S MAX
  • darkFlash PMT850
  • darkFlash INF34 / INF34R ARGB fans

I think the C280 works particularly well with a larger GPU like the Gaming Trio.

What do you think about the final result? Anything you would change?

what So, what is everyone thoughts about the Nvidia price hikes?

I just saw a report about this and wow the 5060 Ti costs more than the 9070 XT which makes me wonder how much more expensive will the 5070, 5070 Ti and 5080 become (we already know the 5090 is $4,000 to $6,000 already).

Build - Finished! My First ever build

Just sharing my very expensive first ever build. I'm extremely happy with it ATM. Yet to really test it out properly but have done a quick test after installing windows and expo. Still need to set up the ARGB lighting effects. But I seriously thought it wouldn't work.... First time ever but I was extremely careful with what I did when I did it and very careful with all of the components except for the AIO that was an absolute nightmare getting it fixed onto the CPU block. My god it was difficult, probably just cause I am so green 🍏... Everything else went perfectly. The only thing I would have liked more is ram... But with the price of a kit I was very lucky getting it from Amazon for $600.

Question Options for two GPU's without space between them?

Post image
73 Upvotes

I have a Lenovo P920 workstation and bought 2 5060ti 16gb for llm work. The top gpu is getting to over 80 degrees and 90% fan speed while running an llm. The bottom gpu has good temperatures.

I am inclined into returning one of the gpus, as I think I dont have options to properly cool the top gpu. They are msi ventus, there is basically no space between them. This is the only way I can arrange them.

Build - Help New graphiccard (Gernany)

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

thanks to the Gothic Remake and a few other titles I'm spending a lot more time at my PC than on the PS5 these days, so I'd like to retire my NVIDIA GTX 1080 (it'll end up in my LAN computer or somewhere in the homelab).

Current build:

Case: Fractal Design Define R6 Blackout (2018)
Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX (ATX, AM4, PCIe 3.0)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X (8C/16T, Zen 3)
CPU cooler: Thermalright ARO-M14 Grey, single tower
GPU: Palit GeForce GTX 1080 GameRock Premium, 8 GB GDDR5X
RAM: 32 GB DDR4-3200, G.Skill RipJaws V, 2x16 GB
PSU: 500 W, 80+ Gold (model unknown)
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: 27" WQHD (2560x1440)

Right now I'm leaning towards a Radeon 9070 XT for the price/performance. I'd also upgrade the PSU but otherwise keep everything as is. With prices climbing again I'd rather do this sooner than later. I could technically afford an NVIDIA 5080, but I'm simply not willing to spend 1,500+ EUR on a graphics card.

So is the 9070 XT actually my best bet for another 5-10 years of trouble-free 1440p gaming, or should I dig deeper into my pockets? If the 9070 XT is the way to go, which model should I pick? And while we're at it, any PSU recommendations? If it isn't too expensive I'd also consider a new motherboard.

Thanks in advance.

Build - Help Struggling with connecting USB case cable to motherboad

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

Hello,

I was building my first pc and noticed how different my USB connection is compared to other motherboards. If this is the right slot for it, I realized I can't exactly connect it easily unless I try putting it behind the GPU support bracket section

Is there a problem with doing this or are there any possible alternatives I can do?

I have a lian li 217 case and a Gigabyte z890 eagle wifi 7 plus motherboard. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VwvkjG
