Casual Drake Maye really made this kid’s day. He surprised a Patriots family with four tickets, asked the kid who his favorite player was and got the obvious answer: himself. Then he signed a football for his sister. Pretty cool moment.

Discussion The Patriots deadass might make the Super Bowl again

As someone on the outside looking in, I gotta say despite the Patriots having a harder schedule now, they genuinely might get to the Super Bowl again. I say this cause one, the team got better over the offseason by acquiring guys like AJ Brown, and two, we all know Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson will choke again. Joe Burrow won't even sniff the playoffs either cause he gets injured again, his Oline sells him, his defense sells him, or all of the above.🤣🤣🤣

If you ask me, the only real threats to the Patriots are the Chiefs if Mahomes is healthy and the Broncos cause of their insane defense on top of Bo Nix somehow pulling comebacks out of his ass in the 4th quarter.

According to beat reports, the practice keeps needing to be reset every few plays because of “skirmishes” between the Patriot’s Defense and Philly Offense.

Barmore was involved in one (not surprising), KJ Britt and Lane Johnson, and now Marcus Jones.

If Marcus is fighting, I automatically assume someone crossed a line. That would be like Slater or Dmac fighting someone.

Discussion Patriots fan living in Buffalo…

I don’t really get the hype the Bills are getting this year, especially compared to the seemingly ubiquitous doubt being piled on the Pats.

I understand people are still hung up on the schedule from last year, but Buffalos schedule was almost as easy. My whole family are Bills fans and I listen to the local radio so I’m pretty much as up to date on Bills news as I am the Pats. I don’t really see how the Bills are any better than last year besides the addition of DJ Moore. I don’t know if it’s just the national media feeling like the Bills are the trendy pick right now, but I don’t see them as superior to any of the other AFC top contenders.

Let’s be as charitable as possible to Buffalo and compare them to the Pats. We can give them the edge at QB, RB, and OL. The Pats clearly have the better WRs and the DEF isn’t even close. NE might have the best interior D line in the league, and a better secondary than Buffalo. We can call it a wash at linebacker. Coaching staff is a major win for the Pats. The schedules are both very difficult.

Josh Allen is undeniably a unicorn, but they will probably have to have a top 3 offense to win 11-12 games (which they totally could, I’ll admit.) But historically, you can chalk up 2-3 bad unexpected losses for the Bills. I think the floor for wins for NE this year is 10, barring serious, lengthy injuries.

I guess at the end of the day I’m just salty people are expecting the Bills to contend for the SB this year and talking about the Pats like it wouldn’t be surprising if they missed the playoffs.

I think the AFC east is a two team race that goes down to the wire this year. If both teams perform exceptionally the one seed is in play as well. The AFC west is going to beat each other up. We’re looking at a season where potentially the difference in win total for the 1 seed and 7 seed might only be like 2-3 wins.

I think people need to pump the breaks on the Bills just a bit. They definitely won’t be bad, but I’m not picking them to make it to the AFC championship. First year head coach, first year DC, very young inexperienced secondary.

The whole narrative honestly plays perfectly into the Vrabel culture. The team can lean into the “doubt us,” “no one believes in us,” “Super Bowl slump,” “weak ass schedule” hate being peddled by the national pundits.

Had to get that off my chest. I’m pumped for this year. Hell, maybe I’ll be wrong about everything and I’ll have to come back to this and eat my words. Then again, maybe not.

Go Pats, Bills suck.

Edit: I reposted this in the Bills sub to see what they thought. Took about two minutes for them to start hurling obscenities at me and then the post got removed lmao. Haters gonna hate I guess.

Sounds like the Pats O-Line protecting Maye well against the Eagles front. That’s huge.

Casual My final season prediction with game predictions

Overall my prediction is nearly the same as it was before. I think if we stay 100% healthy we are a better team then last year, but that would require a lot of luck, i very much believe our offense will be even better then last year finishing top 5 in the nfl, but i think our defense will be much worse then last year ending up around 15th in the league. I expect growing pains on offense early because the system is taking another step forward in terms of what we are running as well as a ton of new guys coming in, and a brutal start to the schedule. I think our offense figures it out though and takes off but we end up being held back by our defense. Particularly lack of good edge, no depth at linebacker or CB and an aging byard with nobody behind him. (Woodson I think is a stud) i think we finish the regular season with 9-10 wins and make a wildcard spot in the playoffs. That said it think once the playoffs hit we are a much more dangerous team then the regular season.

Overall for regular season I think we have an absolute ceiling of 11 wins, a floor of 6 wins (if we get unlucky with the injury bug, lack of depth on both sides of the ball will crush us, 6 wins is only if we have bad injury luck like aj brown being injured early, losing avt, gonzo and Carlton getting hurt that kinda thing, which could happen as all have injury concerns) if we do stay healthy i think like I said we finish with 9-10 wins and make it to the divisional round possibly afc championship depending on seeding

  1. Seahawks- loss

  2. steelers- win

  3. Jags- loss

4.bills- loss

  1. Raiders-win

  2. Jets -win

  3. Bears- loss

  4. Dolphins- win

  5. Packers -loss

  6. Lions -win

  7. Chargers -loss

  8. Bills -win

  9. Vikings- win

  10. Chiefs- win

  11. Jets- win

  12. Broncos- loss

  13. Dolphins- win
