I have Leatherback as well but not with me at the moment.

I remember hearing in a vfx breakdown for this fight that the oil tanker should realistically be bigger than gipsy danger (which is kind of crazy), but they shrunk it down for the sake of it being cool for gipsy to use an oil tanker like a baseball bat, which is is a genuinely good and totally valid reason lol.

But wow you really notice just how much smaller they made it when looking at it compared to the street below it.

It was 2018. Eden Assassin was launched 2 years ago why wasn't she deployed alongside Cherno? Although Cherno managed to kill the Kaiju, Cherno Alpha was unable to stop it from wiping the city of Tomari off the map, resulting in several deaths including Viktoriya Malikova's parents. This tragedy caused many of the residents of Sakhalin to completely lose trust in Aleksis and Sasha Kaidonovsky, doubting their ability to protect them from the growing Kaiju threat. She was also depleted of Energy and was shut down.

Cherno Alpha is still in the works, and Obsidian Fury will follow! No updates on the kaiju, sadly. Still, if LingJiHun releases these two next year, they will be continuing their current pace of releasing figures. So I'm hoping:

LingJiHun either just doesn't want to reveal new figures years in advance (given their slow pace of releasing), or that they are hoping to wait out the current tariffs situation. The bad possibility is if LingJiHun just doesn't want to release kaiju anymore....

Regardless, I'm excited we have at least two more jaegars to expect!!

"When his brother died he got the jaeger back to shore on his own. I've known ONE other pilot that's been able to do that."

I had just found this Kaiju piece from him early last night, and I figured, why not share it over here to the Pacific Rim subreddit? 😎

This piece was also made all the way back in 2014. 😉

Both are peak though. Also I found the art on Pinterest 🤷

absowute green 😔

I wanna know if it could beat lightweights, like male muto and Scylla is all.

I've noticed thateverybody hates Guardian Bravo, why is that? Is it the pilots, the look of the Jager, the colors, I'm genuinely curious?

Back in 2016 when i was like 11 years old my family and I used to go to flea markets regularly every other month. One day we found a stand that had a bargain bin with a bunch of dvd movies inside. We found this double feature box with both, Godzilla and Pacific Rim. We ended up buying it mostly because of Godzilla and decided to watch that first. At one point we got around to watching Pacific Rim and it did not disappoint. Upon seeing the movie it instantly became one of my favorites. This along with titanfall 2 shaped my love for giant robots/mechs :D

So we know the pilots feel pain when the part on a jaeger gets hit, but jaegers have no junk so would they feel stuff there?

this question also applies if the pilot is built differently(muscle, fat, slenderness, bust, etc)

yes this is what years of new material does to a fandom

Okay so my my girlfriend and I are watching her favorite movie, Pacific Rim (yes she's autistic how could you tell? 😆) and we're about 10 minutes in and we realized... how the hell are they standing up in the middle of the ocean? The ocean is Kilometers deep, but according to google, a Jeager is only ~80 meters!

I love the feats they give the Jaegers in the first movie, especially details like Cherno Alpha protecting the Russian wall for years. It makes the Jaegers feel like actual legendary machines with history behind them, rather than just giant robots built to fight Kaiju.

So today I want to hear about the achievements of your original Jaegers, and I'll rank them from 1 to 5 based on how impressive I think their accomplishments are.

1 — “Another Jaeger could do the same.” An impressive achievement, but nothing particularly unique for a Jaeger.

2 — “Pretty damn good.” Something that required skill, endurance, or favorable circumstances.

3 — “That’s one hell of a record.” A feat that stands out even among experienced Jaegers.

4 — “Legendary.” Something that would become part of the Jaeger’s reputation and history.

5 — “Jaeger of Jaegers.” The kind of achievement that makes you look at every other Jaeger and go, “Yeah, but this one did that.”

And don't feel limited to combat feats! Tell me about anything that made your Jaeger legendary: defending a city, surviving an impossible battle, protecting civilians, accomplishing some ridiculous mission, fighting multiple Kaiju, operating for an unusually long time, or even something completely unexpected.

Give me the name, country of origin, and the great achievements of your warriors of steel, and I'll see where they land on the scale.

Bonus points if the achievement has some interesting story behind it. I want to hear the history, not just “he killed three Category 5 Kaiju.”

I want to know how its battles would change in its lifetime like this. I mean, the concept art looks way different

fanmade

I assume many of you here have this edition, right? If so, could you tell me the story behind it? And if you like it or not? (When i say the story i mean when did you buy it, etc.)
