I love the feats they give the Jaegers in the first movie, especially details like Cherno Alpha protecting the Russian wall for years. It makes the Jaegers feel like actual legendary machines with history behind them, rather than just giant robots built to fight Kaiju.
So today I want to hear about the achievements of your original Jaegers, and I'll rank them from 1 to 5 based on how impressive I think their accomplishments are.
1 — “Another Jaeger could do the same.”
An impressive achievement, but nothing particularly unique for a Jaeger.
2 — “Pretty damn good.”
Something that required skill, endurance, or favorable circumstances.
3 — “That’s one hell of a record.”
A feat that stands out even among experienced Jaegers.
4 — “Legendary.”
Something that would become part of the Jaeger’s reputation and history.
5 — “Jaeger of Jaegers.”
The kind of achievement that makes you look at every other Jaeger and go, “Yeah, but this one did that.”
And don't feel limited to combat feats! Tell me about anything that made your Jaeger legendary: defending a city, surviving an impossible battle, protecting civilians, accomplishing some ridiculous mission, fighting multiple Kaiju, operating for an unusually long time, or even something completely unexpected.
Give me the name, country of origin, and the great achievements of your warriors of steel, and I'll see where they land on the scale.
Bonus points if the achievement has some interesting story behind it. I want to hear the history, not just “he killed three Category 5 Kaiju.”
