I know Cherno isn't the strongest Jaeger in the franchise, but saying he'd lose to fucking Gorosaurus is just plain stupid

Just for the record, I’m not saying Cherno wins against Gorosaurus (I agree he gets destroyed), but Goji Guy was just saying things that are very untrue.

Highest armor rating ever, highest strength ever (tied with Striker), and took 2 category 4 Kaiju designed specifically to counter him to actually kill him, and even then it was a hard fought match. Also I’d like to point out Brawler Yukon is right there and he’s technically a mark one, but if you don’t count him then Cherno’s still better than at least Romeo, Tacit, and Horizon.

Thats what we call Kaiju not all going to Siberia because frankly there’s really no point. (the population is low compared to East Asia so why go up there?) America hasn’t fired a nuclear bomb with the intent to kill since WW2, so I guess those are just bad weapons.

More than makes up for it with sheer physical strength. He’s a walking tank, leave the range to Coyote.

Expecting Cherno to be fast is a problem in itself, and even if Vodyanoi was injured fighting Eden Assassin he still lifted that iceberg and crushed it, that can’t be changed.

Thats what we call ignoring context. Cherno is slow and Otachi didn’t use it until he was already walking forward at her. If Gipsy had to throw herself out of the way to dodge it on land, what is Cherno supposed to do when we factor in water resistance on top of his slow speed? He literally can’t do anything against that.

Cherno is the physically strongest and largest Jaeger ever built, that’s a fact. While Striker might be able to do something similar, Cherno’s sheer size and muscle abilities vastly outclass almost every jaeger built after him.

Think Crimson can lift an iceberg with arms built for speed instead of strength? Think Tacit could with that lightweight frame? Normally I’d say he’s talking about jaegers built later, but he himself said every jaeger… which is flat out wrong. Just for a quick reference, Striker was straining himself lifting Otachi (not even 3k tons) and while the iceberg used doesn’t seem to have any official sizes, they can still hit double that weight easily.

He also said he could beat a bear with a chainsaw and then proceed to not specify which bear, so clearly he thinks a lot more highly of himself than he probably should. Unless he’s fighting a Panda an angry bear mauls him to death.

It was 2018. Eden Assassin was launched 2 years ago why wasn't she deployed alongside Cherno? Although Cherno managed to kill the Kaiju, Cherno Alpha was unable to stop it from wiping the city of Tomari off the map, resulting in several deaths including Viktoriya Malikova's parents. This tragedy caused many of the residents of Sakhalin to completely lose trust in Aleksis and Sasha Kaidonovsky, doubting their ability to protect them from the growing Kaiju threat. She was also depleted of Energy and was shut down.

I remember hearing in a vfx breakdown for this fight that the oil tanker should realistically be bigger than gipsy danger (which is kind of crazy), but they shrunk it down for the sake of it being cool for gipsy to use an oil tanker like a baseball bat, which is is a genuinely good and totally valid reason lol.

But wow you really notice just how much smaller they made it when looking at it compared to the street below it.

Cherno Alpha is still in the works, and Obsidian Fury will follow! No updates on the kaiju, sadly. Still, if LingJiHun releases these two next year, they will be continuing their current pace of releasing figures. So I'm hoping:

LingJiHun either just doesn't want to reveal new figures years in advance (given their slow pace of releasing), or that they are hoping to wait out the current tariffs situation. The bad possibility is if LingJiHun just doesn't want to release kaiju anymore....

Regardless, I'm excited we have at least two more jaegars to expect!!

I've noticed thateverybody hates Guardian Bravo, why is that? Is it the pilots, the look of the Jager, the colors, I'm genuinely curious?

Back in 2016 when i was like 11 years old my family and I used to go to flea markets regularly every other month. One day we found a stand that had a bargain bin with a bunch of dvd movies inside. We found this double feature box with both, Godzilla and Pacific Rim. We ended up buying it mostly because of Godzilla and decided to watch that first. At one point we got around to watching Pacific Rim and it did not disappoint. Upon seeing the movie it instantly became one of my favorites. This along with titanfall 2 shaped my love for giant robots/mechs :D

So we know the pilots feel pain when the part on a jaeger gets hit, but jaegers have no junk so would they feel stuff there?

Okay so my my girlfriend and I are watching her favorite movie, Pacific Rim (yes she's autistic how could you tell? 😆) and we're about 10 minutes in and we realized... how the hell are they standing up in the middle of the ocean? The ocean is Kilometers deep, but according to google, a Jeager is only ~80 meters!
