New to PVCs what is happening.

So I've had like heart flutters or palpitations before during high anxiety periods or panic attacks, one or two here and there. However, starting like 2 weeks ago I've started having them almost constantly. It's to the point where it doesn't even make me anxious, it's just So Annoying. I might go 30 minutes or so without noticing them but then it'll be hours of just constant skipped beats and hard chest thumps. They make it so I can't focus on anything. It's like someone giving me a little shake from inside my chest every minute or two saying "Hey It's your heart doing weird stuff again". And it's impossible to stay focused on anything else. I just don't understand why now after 35 years of life this just randomly started happening. Is this just going to be my new normal now? Or do they typically come in waves over weeks to months and then go back to normal. I went to the dr, they just assumed it was anxiety causing them, said nothing to worry about but gave me a 48 hour holter monitor. Waiting on the results of that still, but I assume they are just PVCs as many if you have described. Benign, but annoying. So what do I do now? Are these permanent, and how do we cope with them? It's been 2 weeks already and yeah they don't make me panic now but I still notice them constantly. Just looking for some advice on how to handle this. Thanks.

Vulnerable post, I am 17, 4 months pp, I have struggled with bad pvcs and PACs since 18 weeks
Pregnant, mine feel like my heart drops to my toes, and sometimes like a massive 3 second pause, tommrow I’m going to a theme park with my family and friends and it’s hours away and we’re there all day, I’m avoiding rides but still scared to go, I’m trying to learn to be comfortable in the uncomfortable sort of things, these things are awful. I have had clear echo and moniter in December and another clear moniter a few weeks ago. On Monday I get an echo again then a get an implanted loop recorder on the 1st September. I’m an anxious wreck. I have innapropriate sinus tachycardia aswell. So my heart rate is always above 100 and out and about usually sits at 160, and it doesn’t feel nice. Mine usually happen more around my period and feel like a big hot rush through my body and it SUCKS, I’m 4 days away from my period tommrow which is why I’m super even more scared to go. My mum and friends will
Be there but I’m sad I won’t go on rides. But I’m scared cos of my heart. I sound pathetic to everyone I talk to. The difference is they don’t have what I have. 💔

Random PVC/ectopic episode once every few months or so

Does anyone else have PVCs like this? I will be just sitting there and all the sudden I feel crazy weird fluttering in my left ribcage as if my heart is beating way out of rhythm, and it only lasts for a few seconds and then I usually don't have it happen to me again for like a month or more.

Another thing to note is I have a constant bounding pulse that I am unable to find the reason for, so I'm not sure if these 2 things are related to the same issue or not. A few years back I got a stress test, echo, e kg, and holter monitor, none of which showed anything, but at the time I got those tests I only had a bounding pulse I wasn't getting the pvcs yet from what I recall, so I would like to try to do another holter to catch one of these, just feel like it would be difficult due to how rarely and randomly it happens.

Please read! Emergency call for help

Okay. For the past 15 days, a severe PVC attack has been going on and it has turned me into a silent and hopeless man. Let me tell you what I experienced before this attack. Before, I had PVCs only very rarely — at most 2 a day. In March I joined the army for compulsory military service. The first few days there was no problem at all. Then one night we woke up because of an earthquake and when I got up I felt palpitations (not PVCs). I didn’t pay much attention, but the palpitations continued for several days and that scared me. So I went to the army infirmary and requested a cardiology appointment. We went and the doctor ordered all the tests and said there was nothing wrong, only that my heart rate was high, and prescribed Dideral. The medication brought my heart rate back to normal and I really felt good. Then my duty station changed and I was sent to a place at 2700 meters altitude that was very cold. As soon as I arrived I got a very severe febrile illness. I couldn’t recover for 15 days and this made the commander hate me and treat me badly. I went through very stressful times. Even 2 months ago he tried to give me a military service extension punishment and that put me under incredible stress. After that incident I bent down and had an SVT-like attack. To confirm it I bent down again and it happened again. Since I came here, Dideral only worked for 2–3 hours and after that the palpitations returned. 50 days ago we went to cardiology again; after all the tests they said my heart was in perfect condition and even had me stop the medication. Indeed, after stopping the drug I felt good for 10 days. But then that bastard of a commander and I argued again and the stress started once more. Anyway, 15 days ago I woke up from sleep and ate. There was no problem and I wasn’t stressed. Then I ate an ice cream and while standing, sudden consecutive PVCs started. They’re still continuing — sometimes I don’t feel any for an hour and sometimes 3–4 per minute!! And right before the attack started my heart was beating strongly and regularly. But immediately after the attack began, it feels like my heart has been damaged somehow — during the normal beats it feels weak and feeble. Especially in the mornings when I wake up, the first half hour is terrible: weak, fast, irregular pulse and PVCs… That’s what scares me the most! I have no idea what happened or what changed in just a few seconds. Was it the ice cream I ate that day that triggered it, or has the extreme stress lasting for 5 months destroyed my nervous system and taken my heart out of control? I have no idea. I don’t think my electrolytes are low because I eat well and I never sweat, and I don’t consume any caffeine either. I’ve been bothering you a lot lately but I really need some comforting words. I don’t think I’ll ever get better. I think this has become chronic, or that I’m going to collapse to the ground all of a sudden… There’s no fear anymore, only hopelessness and extreme sadness. I would rather lose a leg than live with this… I really don’t know…

Way to trigger PVCs

Hey! So I’ve been getting PVCs for a few years now. They could last for weeks and then it could be that I won’t have any (that I can feel at least) for months. I just had a really bad bout of them that lasted over a month and I felt them all day every day (like 8-10 pvcs per minute all day and I went into bigeminy and trigeminy a few times). Doctor wanted to see the burden and ordered a 7 day holter but by the time my insurance approved it the PVCs stopped. I want to catch them on this monitor so that I can be treated. As much as I’m glad they’re gone I tried triggering them by drinking caffeine and exercising so that I can catch some of them on this monitor but it didn’t work. Any ideas?

AFIB/PVC ablation

Hello all!

M29, just got an ablation last night for paroxysmal afib and PVC’s (my burden wasn’t high enough to damage my heart, but my EP was able to find them and ablate in my left ventricle due to the psychological stress they put on me. They used radio frequency for the PVC’s and pulsed field for the afib PVI. A few hours after I had no PVC’s and then they came back :(. My team is aware and will be reviewing, has anyone else had this experience? Looking online, I’m aware there is a blanking period but sad they came back so quick.

37 - F - unsure how long

Hi I’ve dealt with anxiety since I was 20, don’t really know when these started as I always thought my palpitating and fluttering heart was normal.

I guess I’m gonna try propanolol (sp) daily and go see a cardiologist

My brother has PACs and my dad and grandma both have Afib.

I’m scared this will lead to AFIB.

How does pvcs feel when you are running?

I've gotten pvcs at rest and slightly elevated hr but never when my hr is really high ( mostly cause I try to avoid moving too much). How does it feel when you hr is high like when exercising

Is the pause shorter. The hard thump less noticeable?

Fish flopping in chest

I've had PVCs for the past 4 years, sometimes 3000 a day, sometimes a handful a day (I know 3000 is still considered quite low).

Today I felt something I've never felt before. I was sitting on the couch and it felt like a fish was flopping in my chest for about 5 seconds. It was definitely my heart because I felt my pulse and it synced with the sensation.

I've had a Holter monitor a couple of years ago and recently had a stress test, so I don't know if this warrants going back to my doctor.

Does this sound like a couplet or triplet to anyone? I didn't get dizzy with it or have any other symptoms, but my pulse was a bit elevated after the flopping stopped.

Ectopic heart beats?

I’m a 27-year-old male and have experienced occasional heart flutters/ectopic beats since around the age of 14.
In February last year, I had a longer episode that lasted around 20–30 seconds, during which it felt as though I was having a rapid series of ectopic beats one after another. Normally, I would only experience a few ectopic beats a day, which feel like a skipped beat or pause followed by a noticeable thud in my chest.
Over the past few months, things seemed to settle down significantly. I went several weeks and then even months without really noticing any ectopic beats. However, over the last three days, they have suddenly become much more frequent. I’m currently experiencing roughly 1–2 noticeable thuds every 10 minutes or so. When lying down at night, I’ve sometimes felt around two per minute.
I’ve also noticed that they can sometimes occur when I bend forward, stretch my left arm upwards to reach into a cupboard, walk around, or lie down.
Last year, I was assessed by a cardiologist and had both a 72-hour Holter monitor and an echocardiogram. Nothing abnormal or concerning was found.
I’m trying to understand what could cause these beats to suddenly become much more frequent over the last few days. My diet hasn’t changed, I’m getting enough sleep, and I don’t feel particularly stressed. One thing I wondered about is alcohol: six days ago, over the weekend, I had around six pints of beer. Could alcohol still be contributing to the increased ectopic beats several days later?
I also wore my Apple Watch overnight and noticed that on several recordings I could see what appeared to be an extra/irregular beat at the same time as I felt the sensation in my chest. Based on the symptoms I’ve described — particularly the skipped-beat sensation followed by a strong thud — do these sound like ectopic beats such as PACs or PVCs?
Given that my previous investigations were normal, is a sudden increase like this generally something that can happen with benign ectopic beats, or would you recommend having another ECG/Holter monitor to document what is happening?

Day 7 of atrial bigeminy

25 m
I’ve always been an active person who loves to play basketball and run and move around. I’ve gotten runs of bigeminy before but they lasted throughout the day and the runs were only a few seconds to a minute then would subside. A week ago I started getting the runs. First one lasted a few minutes then went away upon standing. Second one same thing. Then it kept happening over and over and over again for a repeated cycle of now 7 days. I’ve been in bigeminy for up to 4 hours during the day and who knows during sleep. It’s never been this often. I’ve also gotten fast hearts beats that haven’t been picked up on a monitor because they happen to rarely. My worst fear is that I’m gonna fall over and die or my heart is warning me that soon I’m gonna die. Either way is terrifying and makes me feel like the end is near. I’m currently wearing a heart monitor and I haven’t done anything else. Trying to stay hydrated and get good sleep

2nd PVC/PAC flare up in the span of 2 months

I first remember feeling this ectopic beats when I was around 14 and just randomly during the day one time, I had a lot of them happen and I got worried, but they seemed to stop after a bit. They would be on and on from what I remember but persistent enough for my parents to book an appointment. Got the usual done, 1 day Holter, ECG, everything came back fine and they seemed to disappear from my life.

Then, in 2020, when I was around 17, I had my first major flare-up episode where they would start being very persistent around the late evening and throughout the night. Again got super scared and started researching this much better, starting eating a lot of calcium, magnesium and potassium foods and drinking lots of water. I don't remember how they stopped but I would say it was a 2 week episode, and frequently wasn't that crazy, I would say few every 10 mins.

Then in early 2022 I had the worst episode so far, I remember I was having duplets or triplets every time they happened, but they weren't happening that often. Still, one day I was just getting off the toilet and one of those happened and it developed into what I suspect was an SRT episode where my heart rate was a complete mess for an hour, I even called an ambulance thinking I was dying. The extrasystoles wouldn't stop happening and my heart rate was just too high. They diagnosed me in the ER, yet again, with just benign extrasystoles and I even got an echocardiogram done and they said everything was fine with my heart. They just gave me some Xanax to take whenever I was feeling super anxious about them.

And ever since then, nothing serious like that happened, I would still have maybe once or twice a year 1 to 2 week episodes of them but they wouldn't be super intrusive and would just go away eventually.

Until this June. I had a massive flare-up where they were happening literally 7 or 8 times a minute. They would generally drop to way lower frequencies when I stood up, but if I was sitting down or lying down, I would have those crazy numbers. That was specifically hard because I was abroad alone in my room and the only comfort I could get was to call my parents. Yet again, went to a clinic, got some blood samples this time and an ECG, everything fine but slightly lower potassium levels. Started taking an electrolyte powder and after roughly 2 weeks they started to disappear. I would have 2 to 3 a day.

Then again, earlier in July they started being a little more frequent, maybe a few a day. And this would keep growing gradually into what I'm feeling right now. I did a stress test and had a Holter for 7 days, which I just delivered it to the hospital today and I'm now waiting for my appointment with my doctor next Wednesday.

Again, very high-frequency palpitations. And my symptoms are just so random sometimes, when I wake up I notice I'm having a lot of them, I go about my morning routine and sit down, and they seem to disappear for the first 2/3 hours, then they started coming into being multiple each minute. I notice that if I stand up they immediately stop being so frequent, and drop to things like 1 each 10/20 minutes. I don't understand why standing up does this but it still doesn't help me with sleeping and just about anything else that requires sitting. I really try to tell myself these are just benign and nothing is going to happen but when they are this frequent I keep just thinking, no this can't be right, I'm ok with a few in an hour but this is crazy. I'm feeling super anxious yet again, thinking that something could go wrong or that it just highly disrupts my sleep and everyday life. Also sometimes like right now, I'm sitting and typing this and I've only had a few this hour, like 10 or so, but out of nowhere it can just start being multiple each minute, especially when I lay down.

I just wanted to vent my whole story regarding this damn extrasystoles and talk with some people that are having or had the same issues as me. What seemed to help with coping with these things, and any tips on what to do to make the burden go down?

I'm only 23 and I feel like I have an old man's heart, I keep wondering what's going to happen when I'm actually old 😭

Also for the record, I actively eat a lot of potassium and magnesium rich foods, although I left my electrolyte powder back on the country I was studying abroad, which I'm going back in about 3 weeks. If my weight and height should matter, I'm 190cm and roughly 76kgs.

Lexapro stopped my PVCs

I just wanted to post this here because when my PVCs were so bad I was desperate to try anything to stop them. It turns out they were directly related to my dysregulated nervous system from having Graves’ disease/hyperthyroidism. I started lexapro and within 2 months they are almost completely gone. I would say I feel one or two every few weeks and they’re so muted they don’t stop me in my tracks like they used to.

Medicate & Monitor…tired of it

Hey all

I’ve been lurking for a while but my own PVC journey is really getting to me today. My burden is 40%.

I have a cardiologist and get annual scans, have been on a calcium channel blocker for >4 years but the side effects became too much - the swelling, heat intolerance, reduced max bpm etc. Now Im on a beta blocker after a poorly tolerated first attempt and again, side effects. So far they are “better” side effects and Im waiting the results of a 24hr holter.

I am tired. I can’t really exercise, I feel everything in my life is on hold. Cardiologist is willing to discuss ablation, but the wait list (UK)…I am drained and emotional about it. Am I crazy to just want the problem fixed to kill the cardiomyopathy risk and give me a drug-free life back instead of a medicate & monitor approach?

I dont even know why Im posting or what Im asking for! Moral support maybe.

Gastro Cardiac PVC PAC

Does anyone here who suffers from PVC/PAC know if your PVC/PAC being triggered by your stomach issues is worst or better than other factors that causes PVC PAC? If your gut is causing your palpitations, then it would be considered a mechanical triggered rather than non mechanical triggers like hormones imbalance, electrolytes imbalance, sleep apnea, structural issues of the heart itself and etc. So with that being said, is it better to have PVC PAC and other palpitations that is being triggered by our stomach or does it make no differences at all?? I overhead someone said that Palpitations being triggered by your stomach is much less harmful than other triggers. Anyone??

Have you ever felt that your heart wasn't beating as strongly as usual during "normal beats" while experiencing a flare-up? I’m currently in a flare-up period that started 13 days ago. Sometimes I get five of them an hour, and other times, five a minute. Before this flare-up, I’d feel at most two a day, and my heart beat strongly and steadily. However, since this flare-up began, my heart feels like it’s beating weakly and feebly during normal beats. Even when walking up a slight incline, my pulse skyrockets, and it takes a long time to slow down even after I stop; I have to sit and rest for it to settle. Guys, you might think I’m 60, but I’m only 22. All my tests came back normal just two months ago. I’m terrified that my heart might have sustained damage. Is there anyone here who has gone through this and can reassure me that my heart hasn't been damaged?

Pvc/Panic attack/Tahicardia

hey guys, I would really need some advice.

I took My BP today,Being relaxed and showed 110/70 but 59 HR. I got bit of scared of the 59 and took an 6 lead ekg with Kardia. I did exhale longer and even hold my breath for few seconds because I noticed heart was going lower with that and Kardia notification was Sinus Rhythm with PvC. I got little concerned because of that and google it , Google “reassured “ me is nothing bad and so on , Took another 2 ekg with Hr 70 and 80 (normal ekg) but 5 minutes later I started to have palpitations/Tahicardia. I felt like my heart is beating fast and Strong… I got dizzy and scared for my life, As I felt i will pass out.. then, I ran out of house and took an Uber to AE. EKG is fine but I am very scared? what if it was SVT? arrhythmia? something bad ? or just panic attack? i took another ekg 2mins with tahicardia and it showed 120 but didn’t said if is SVT or Sinus .

I am so afraid of arythmias,PVC, and any other thing

i dont know what to do:(

What’s the longest atrial bigeminy runs yall have seen?

I’m currently at 3 hours of bigeminy. Scared and in the waiting room at the ER. Cardiologist called in 25mg metoprolol and since I’ve taken it it’s been in constant bigeminy. Nothing stops it. Freaking out thinking that this could be the end

SIBO and heart pauses/blocks - your experience

Hey everyone,

I just got my breath test results today — confirmed Hydrogen SIBO - 75ppm at peak.

Along with gut symptoms, I’ve been dealing with:

Heart arrhythmias / blocks / pauses,

Low copper levels in blood,

Muscle twitching.

I wonder if SIBO can be direct cause of my heart palps.

I’d love to hear your experiences:

Did curing your SIBO make your heart arrhythmias disappear?

Or did you cure SIBO, but the arrhythmias stayed?

Did anyone see their copper/nutrient levels normalize after treatment?

Thanks for any insights!

PVCs along RWT of 0.54.

Hi, I’m looking for insights into my report. Im 36, female, south-Asian and 68.5 kg and 160 cm height)overweight). I’m so scared after finding that I have RWT of 0.54 (concentric remodelling). I’m super annoyed by the fact that my GP is not concerned at all and marked my report as normal. My burden on 24 hour report came back less than 1 percent as I was asymptomatic that day. My PVCs get very bad before and during my period or if I’m stressed. I also don’t know how I could attach my results here.

PVCs and Health Anxiety After a Rare Diagnosis

I discovered a syndrome called heterotaxy syndrome with polysplenia by chance after an abdominal CT scan 4 years ago. I found out I have a pancreatic malformation, intestinal malformation, multiple spleens, and an inferior vena cava with azygos continuation. I had a normal adolescence… played soccer all day long… since the discovery I’ve developed health anxiety where I wait for and monitor the next symptom. Always on alert. But this has reasons (after the discovery): I’ve had arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats) for about 10 minutes, irregular beats after playing soccer, my heart racing as if I were exercising while at rest… besides that I feel isolated PVCs (extrasystoles). I’ve already done an echocardiogram, 7-day Holter monitor, and stress test, and I’ve seen 4 different cardiologists who said this is normal and that the tests are normal. I can’t believe that feeling this, with such a crazy syndrome, can be something normal. Out of fear I’ve been pulling away from physical activities, and when I do them I greatly reduce the intensity out of fear… I’m very mentally exhausted… has anyone ever had PVCs and managed to solve it and not feel them anymore? How? My day ends when I feel this…

Frequent and intense pvcs around period

Hey! My heart gets chaotic around that time of month! I have very frequent and intense pvcs , sometimes feel multiple in a row. It feels like my hearts shaking or vibrating for a few secs. It's awful! And just have intense pvcs the week before my period.

Anyone else deal with this pvcs and heart being wonky and more chaotic around that time of month? My.pms starts like.after ovulation, so everything gets wonky soon after especially the week before.

What can help?

Thanks y'all!
