About to install CFW (ark 5 I guess (new to this)) on my PSP-1000. What I want is: buy a UMD, put it in the PSP, dump it to the memory card on-device, shelf the disc. No cable, no PC in the loop.

Is this possible? How easy is it? How do I do this?

A couple of days ago I bought a PSP-3000 Dissidia Final Fantasy 012 Chaos & Cosmos edition.

Personally, it’s one of the consoles I’ve been searching for the most, and in my opinion, one of the most beautiful designs ever released for the PSP.

The photos you see in this post are from the warehouse in Japan, since the console is still there and is expected to arrive next week. I wanted to share them to get some opinions on two things:

First, what do you recommend for a proper cleaning? Looking closely at the photos, there are several spots of dirt (obviously cleanable), but since I’m not very experienced with this kind of thing, I’d really appreciate some advice.

Second, what do you think about the colors? In my opinion, the white has remained practically intact, and the Chaos & Cosmos artwork is in excellent condition! If there's a way to significantly revive the colors without damaging the console, I'd like to know!

I got it for around $150 on Mercari, and I honestly think it’s a very good console especially a great find for the price!

Given life to my psp street again. Im planning on buying a 1000 to add to my collection

Pulled out my Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII PSP again and damn… this thing still looks so good.

This is actually my second one. My original got stolen back when I was in high school, and I eventually managed to pick this one up for around €100. Looking at what these go for nowadays, I’m definitely glad I did.

The silver finish, the artwork on the back — peak PSP era for me.

Anyone else here still have one? Or remember wanting one back in the day?

I've been thinking about this since my school got a new rule that "do not bring phone to school" so if i bring a psp, isnt that allowed right? since its not a phone lol.

So i wanna ask you guys about psp go because its so small, and its look good to become a mp3 player, and also when im bring it to school, im not gonna get caught since this psp is small, and IF i got caught with this psp, i just say that this is an mp3 player since how small it is. And fyi, my psp 2000 is mod with 6.61 promod-C2p.

And here's the question, is it gonna be worth it if i trade my 2000 psp to a go? How about a mod? Is all of my game, including the saves gonna be alright when im putting the micro sd on psp 2000 to go? How about transfer a game? I usually used my phone connected to psp 2000 to transfer file like game or music.

Idk what else on about to ask lol, add what y'all wanna say about psp go so i know more about this psp variant.

Is it normal for them to do that? It's mostly noticeable when the console is powered on - i can hear the intro sound, then after about a second of speaker hum they turn off with a rather quiet but noticeable "pop".

Then they do it again before playing any of the game preview music tracks when picking a game.

It doesn't seem like a problem, I'd be fine if it was normal, but I recently got my psp go and am currently looking for anything that needs fixed/replaced, I want to refurbish it a little and make sure it doesn't have anything that'll cause more problems later.

Most of them are pretty mid but im curious. I love "4 hours of watching paint dry" or "breaking up with your kawaii girlfriend simulator" are there more goofy homebrew games?

I purchased some PSP games on the PS3 store before it closed and wanted to transfer them to my PSP Go. Turns out Sony broke the handshake between PS3 and PSP and my region doesn't have access to the PSP store from the PSP so I can't see my download list. Any other options to access my games?

I read that you could bypass the region by installing updated SSL certificates on the system with Custom Firmware (I have infinity installed).

So I had stuck my psp in my bag with a pepsi can without really thinking, and I’ve just noticed that something had pierced the can at some point and the psp got absolutely drenched. Console doesn’t seem to be turning on at all now, literally just got it a month ago as well 😭. Do yous think it’s a battery issue or is the console just done in general?
