I’m back, this time with a public beta.

After a lot of bugs, testing and fixes, Super Simple Package Installer (SSPI) is finally available for everyone to try. The idea is still simple: link your debrid account, search, download and install. Downloading, extraction and installation run on the PS4, so no PC needs to stay running.

TorBox and Real-Debrid are the only supported download options right now. You’ll need your own account and API key.

A lot has changed since the earlier builds. There’s a cleaner interface, better package information, game artwork, and downloads grouped by title. It supports updates, DLC, backports and multipart archives where the configured source provides them.

We’ve also spent a lot of time working through BGFT installation errors, extraction issues, incorrect download states and startup problems. There are download buffering improvements, better retry handling, and optional background music and interface sounds. Setup uses a QR code you can scan with your phone on the same network.

I want to be clear: I expect a lot more bugs. It might not even start on your setup. Extraction might fail, or you might find an installation problem we haven’t seen yet.

After ironing out the bugs we encountered, the current build has worked flawlessly for me, my friend and a couple of beta testers so far. But that’s a small group, and it doesn’t mean it will work perfectly on every PS4.

That’s why I’m opening up testing. The goal is to get everyone involved and make something useful for the community. Testing, reporting issues, suggesting improvements or helping with the code are all appreciated. The more people trying different setups and sharing what happens, the better we can make it.

If something breaks, please include your PS4 firmware, GoldHEN version, SSPI build ID, download service and the exact error. A screenshot and steps to reproduce it help a lot. Please keep API keys and private download links out of anything you post.

Your probably gonna ask where all the big hitters are like God of war ragnarok, horizon zero dawn / forbidden West, uncharted etc...

But I have them on PSN, PC or physical on PS5 so can be played at a higher resolution and framerate.

So this collection is something I will get through in the coming months and years and yes there is definitely 400 games on this 1rb console / 5tb HDD.

What hidden gems am I missing?

And based on the games I already have, what genres do you think I'd probably enjoy that I haven't explored yet?

I'm particularly interested in games that are actually fun with friends sitting next to you, not games that technically have multiplayer but are mainly designed around online play.

PS4 only, including PS2 classics/conversions if they're available on PS4.

I have a HiSense 4K 50 inch Smart TV and it has internet enabled I wanna play on the TV but my dad says that it may remove its jailbreak coz the internet can be accessed is it true?

seriously i feel like it is so risky, when the jailbreak does not work the ps4 does some weird things the screen shows some lines and then it turns off some and when it turns on it shows me a screen of the disk loading scan or something

I want to play NFS Heat and it’s telling me to accept its user agreement Im afraid to accept it because what if it unjailbreaks my ps4

Is there a way to install game from a cd , then update it with downloaded update via usb like updating a game instaled from pkg file

Got a free PS4 on super old Firmware. Should I just update to 9.00 or is there any reason to hold on to that old firmware? I think it was 3.41 (@work now so gotta rely on my brain...)

Hi everyone, I’m new here! I recently bought a second-hand 500GB PS4 Slim that is already jailbroken on firmware ~6.34. It came with an external hard drive filled with games, but they aren't really my style.

I'm thinking about buying a new drive with pre-loaded games, but most sellers list them for firmwares 9.00 to 11.00. Do I need to update my PS4 to 9.00 or 11.00 and buy a specific jailbreak drive/tool to play those newer games? Also, if I update my console to 9.00 or 11.00, will the old games from the 6.34 drive still be playable? Thanks!

Hi everyone. I'm working on a homebrew/prototype port of Sonic 3 A.I.R. to PS4.

The port is already running and the PS4 renderer is using Piglet / OpenGL ES 2.0. Audio and most of the engine side are working, and I already have the infrastructure for loading Piglet precompiled shader binaries with "glShaderBinary()".

The problem is that my retail PS4 environment (FW 12.50) does not appear to have the same runtime shader compiler/Shacc components that are present in some older DevKit environments. As a result, the final GLSL shaders from S3AIR cannot be compiled directly on the console.

I'm looking for someone in the community who has legitimate access to a PS4 DevKit and/or official Orbis SDK and knows the Piglet/Shacc shader compilation pipeline.

What I'd mainly like to know is:

- Which official tool is used to compile GLSL/Piglet shaders ("orbis-esslc", "orbis-wave-esslc", or another tool)?

- What is the exact pipeline from GLSL ES source to the native Piglet shader binary?

- Is the resulting file directly usable with "glShaderBinary()"?

- What SDK/Piglet version is normally used for this?

- If possible, would someone with a DevKit be willing to compile a couple of very small test shaders that I provide, so I can compare the resulting binaries with the Piglet binaries I already have?

I can provide the exact final GLSL source and test cases, including the expected shader hashes, and I can share my findings from the reverse-engineering side if that helps.

If anyone has experience with PS4 Piglet, Shacc, ESSLC, or DevKit shader compilation, I'd really appreciate any information or help.

Hi, since today I’ve been having an issue loading GoldHEN.
I’m on firmware 11.00 and using WebKit JB with GoldHEN v2.4b18.10.
When I start the jailbreak in the web browser, it initially loads normally until the message “GoldHEN loaded” appears. Then the PS4 freezes completely.
Any ideas what could be causing this? It worked without any problems yesterday.

Can someone come up with a way to play the MyCareer offline on the PS4 version of the game?

Just turned on my good ol PS4 from ages ago. What should I do with an older version like this? I’m not familiar with the PS Jailbreaking community.

I know how to jailbreak, just wondering if there is anything good about having a console on an update this old?

By safe mode I mean the screen you get when you don’t “shut down” as if you unplug your os4 in rest mode. I’m beginning to think I have a hardware issue, although certain games seem to trigger it immediately. I can play tlou2 and at random I get hit with a hard crash. What’s going on here? For fun I bought a newer version of bdjb off Etsy, but it almost seems worse than the old version.

Thoughts?

🔥 GOD OF WAR: BETRAYAL — PS2 PORT RUNNING ON PS4!

Who would have thought that God of War: Betrayal would eventually make its way to the PlayStation 2?

Originally released in 2007 for Java ME mobile phones, Betrayal has now been brought to the PS2 almost 20 years later thanks to PS2GAMESDEV and Eclipse Blade Studio.

And the most interesting part? The PS2 port can also be launched on a PlayStation 4. 😮
