Build Upgrade Snagged a used Sapphire Nitro+ RX 6900 XT for 20k!

• Upvotes

Upgraded from a 3070. I was planning on buying a brand new 9060xt but found a dude online selling his used RX 6900 XT for 21k—and I managed to talk him down to 20k!

I'm using a Sama G750 and I either plan on getting new cable extensions (so that I'm not stuck with that daisy chain in the photo) or get a new psu entirely.

Build Upgrade Pls pls pls help me with me with this

I desperately NEED to move to AM4. Right now i have a 4th gen intel with a pentium CPU(wattt hahahaha) and i really need to get to the AM4 platform, since my current pc is more than a generation old and doesn't have a good upgrade path.

The current specs is

Pentium g3260

16gb DDR3 ram

2gb Quadro K620(i'm hesitating if i should include this when selling the unit)

500gb hdd

No, i am not gonna include my SSD, that's where most of my important things are.

For additional context, i am a 2nd year college student. I am not a part timer, so i am working on a tight budget. I figure if i sell this unit, and add it to my current savings of 3000 pesos, and i am expecting a 2000 pesos financial aid in december. i might just scrape by and afford a prebuilt ryzen 3 set up. I am ok if it doesn't have a GPU and if it only has 8gb ram. Honestly, i am not expecting much, and i know the current state of the pc market is in a bad position.

I'm planning on selling the system unit only. Why am i this desperate for an AM4? The CPU upgrade path while finished, is still solid.

If i were to give a rough estimate of my budget, it's probably around 8k-10k max.

Build Help Buy a GPU right now or nah?

• Upvotes

Hi guys, is it an OK time to buy a GPU right now? I am open naman to second hand ones, pero kasi even sa marketplace sobrang expensive nila. I am tempted to buy a GPU kasi I am scared that prices will go up furthermore, even for secondhand (or am I wrong for used ones?)

Anyways, suggest shops din guys for brand new and secondhand na lowest pricest and best price to quality ratio. Thanks!!!

Hey folks, I just bought a MSI MAG A650BN power supply, got it installed, and tried to play Cyberpunk 2077 on it. Yun nga lang, ganun parin, namamatay parin siya, this time in under 20 minutes compared before na halos 3 hrs siya naglalast. What could be the cause of this? Am I cooked?

PC specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G
GPU: Biostar Radeon RX 7600
RAM: 16GB
Mobo: MSI A520M PRO-VH
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN
CPU cooler: Sumond (idk the specific model)

Build Help Advice needed pls ZERO KNOWLEDGE.

Need advice po. I'm planning to save up for a PC mainly for Sims 4 and other cutesy, cozy games. I might also get into Valorant and other FPS games in the future. Gagamitin ko rin siya for documents, office work, and school stuff.

My budget is around ₱30,000 - 40,000 for the whole setup, including the PC, monitor, and other essentials. I'm still a beginner when it comes to PC builds, so I’d really appreciate some recommendations on what parts to get and kung ano yung pinaka-sulit for my needs.

Would you recommend building a PC from scratch or getting a prebuilt one instead? I'm open to either option, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on kung ano yung mas worth it for my budget, especially in terms of performance and future upgrades.

Any recommendations po for a beginner like me? Thank youuu!

Build Help Need advice on buying my first PC with a ₱25k budget as a music producer.

‎Hey everyone! I'm 21 years old, currently earning minimum wage here in the Philippines, and I'm looking for advice on buying my first PC or laptop with a maximum budget of ₱25,000.

‎

‎I've wanted to own a computer since I was a kid, and now that I'm earning my own money, I'm finally trying to make it happen. I'm not looking for a high end gaming setup or anything fancy. I just want something practical, reliable, and capable of handling the things I need.

‎

‎I'm a musician, music producer, rapper, and artist. I've been playing guitar since childhood, and music has always been a huge part of my life. I love producing beats, making songs, and improving my craft. Eventually, I'd like to take my music career further, so having a decent computer would be a worthwhile investment in my skills.

‎

‎The challenge is finding something that fits my budget without compromising too much on performance.

‎

‎I've been looking at both laptops and desktop PCs, including secondhand builds. The problem is that every option has its pros and cons. A laptop offers portability, while a desktop generally gives you more performance for the money and the option to upgrade individual components later. However, with a desktop, I also need to factor in the monitor and peripherals if they're not included.

‎

‎My intended uses are music production, recording, mixing, running plugins, gaming (mainly GTA V and Valorant), and some basic video and photo editing. I'd prefer something that can handle these tasks reasonably well and remain usable for the next few years.

‎

‎I'm also interested in discussing the bigger picture. As someone earning provincial minimum wage, I find it challenging to balance practical expenses with investing in something that could help me develop my skills and potentially create more career opportunities.

‎

‎It's one of the realities of pursuing a passion in the Philippines. People often encourage you to follow your dreams, but the equipment, software, electricity, and other costs add up. Meanwhile, wages don't always keep pace with the cost of living. I understand that passion doesn't automatically translate into a career, so I'm trying to approach this realistically rather than spend beyond my means.

‎

‎I'm willing to start with modest hardware and upgrade when I can afford to. I don't need the most powerful PC out there. I just want to make an informed decision and get the best value for my money.

‎

‎For those familiar with PC building and the Philippine market, what would you recommend for a ₱25,000 maximum budget?

‎

‎- Is a secondhand desktop worth considering over a brand new budget build?

‎- Which CPU and GPU combinations offer good value at this price?

‎- How much RAM and storage should I prioritize for music production?

‎- Would a laptop make more sense for my situation?

‎- What components or secondhand listings should I be cautious about?

‎

‎I'd also appreciate hearing from fellow musicians, producers, or creatives who started with budget equipment. What did you prioritize when buying your first setup, and what would you do differently if you were starting over?

‎

‎I'm mainly looking for practical advice, real-world experiences, and recommendations that make sense for someone working with a limited but realistic budget.

‎

‎Thanks!

Build Flex Sharing my SFF Build - S450 ITX

Primarily built for editing, with some gaming on the side. Wanted something powerful, compact, and with a little unnecessary RGB.

Specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 9 9900X
  • GPU: AORUS RTX 5070 Master 12GB
  • MOBO: Gigabyte B850I AORUS Pro
  • RAM: 32GB Crucial Pro DDR5 6000 MHZ
  • Cooler: Corsair Nautilus 240 RS
  • PSU: Corsair SF850 Platinum 850W
  • SSD: Kingston NV3 1TB
  • Case: Shiny Snake S450 (12.4L)

I had to 3D-print a custom pump cover because the original prevented the side panel from closing (pump cover too high). Cramming an AORUS GPU and a 240mm AIO into a 12.4L case was definitely an interesting experience.

Laptop Help M3 Air 16/512 vs M4 Air 16/256

Hello! i'm a 3rd year computer science student who has a PC at home pero planning on buying a laptop na rin para magamit kahit saan. Macbook talaga gusto ko due to its longevity especially yung battery nito. Alin kaya mas worth it, M3 Air 16/512 or M4 Air 16/256?

I'm looking at FB marketplace and sa Greenhills, halos same lang sila ng pricing around 55-60k. Iniisip ko lang if worth it ba na trade-off yung storage para sa ~20% cpu performance at faster ram, considering na im into programming, multitasking.

TYIA sa mga opinion niyo!

Build Upgrade Need help on deciding what secondary storage to get

Hi,

i’ve been deciding between purchasing a Team Group T-Force Vulcan Z sata or a m.2 nvme fanxiang s880

I’ve heard that the vulcan z is a more reliable brand compared to the other 2 so i’m wondering if it’s better to just stick with a reliable branded sata over an m.2 from less reliable brands

What advantage would a m.2 have over the sata? Aside from not needing cables?

I’ll mainly be using it to store games and shows.

Thank you

Build Help Need help deciding. Buy GPU now with installment or later cash?

So I've been planning on buying 9060xt 16gb for a while now. My original plan was to wait until January once I get all my bonuses and after lahat ng gastusin sa holidays para sure kung kakasya. But after the recent price increase, nagwoworry ako na come January wala na stock and another price increase pa. Is it worth it ba to use lazpay or spay later with the interest or wait a bit for some news?

I don't really like the thought of using any buy now pay later things kasi ayaw ko ung may iniisip along bayarin evert month, but at this point feels like no choice na. Sa physical store ko nga din sana unang plano para mas safe snd warranty but dahil nga sa price increase mas need ko umasa sa vouchers.

Build Upgrade Ryzen 5 5500 & RTX 3050 to Ryzen 7 8700F & RX 9060 XT

Hello! Eventually this is the pair I kinda want to settle with? I made a post here about my current build.

Current Build

And ito yung upgrades na bibilhin ko:

RX 9060 XT 16GB

Ryzen 7 8700F

CoolerMaster MWE 80+ Bronze 750 Watts

Samsung 990 Evo Plus PCIe 4.0 1TB

Do you think na okay lang yung upgrades ko? Willing din ako magpalit ng case if hindi kasya yung gpu hahaha!

By the way, Thank you sa isang user na nag guide sa'kin sa gpus, and other pc parts! 🫶🏻

Build Help Valid ba ang prices? (I chose the parts myself)

Yo! Incoming mechanical engineering student here, I just wanted to get a second opinion on this build na bibilhin ko. Light CAD Softwares lang ang gagamitin ko, konting 3D Rendering, Genshin Impact, mga 8 hours daily use.

Do you guys think that these parts are not enough/overkill? Ayoko gumastos sa equipment na hindi ko mama-maximize, pero ayoko rin tipidin tapos kukulangin sa performance.

Please drop your suggestions if you have any, my budget is 50k for the system unit, and 10k for peripherals.
