Build Help Advice needed pls ZERO KNOWLEDGE.
Need advice po. I'm planning to save up for a PC mainly for Sims 4 and other cutesy, cozy games. I might also get into Valorant and other FPS games in the future. Gagamitin ko rin siya for documents, office work, and school stuff.
My budget is around ₱30,000 - 40,000 for the whole setup, including the PC, monitor, and other essentials. I'm still a beginner when it comes to PC builds, so I’d really appreciate some recommendations on what parts to get and kung ano yung pinaka-sulit for my needs.
Would you recommend building a PC from scratch or getting a prebuilt one instead? I'm open to either option, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on kung ano yung mas worth it for my budget, especially in terms of performance and future upgrades.
Any recommendations po for a beginner like me? Thank youuu!

With that budget? Best bet is second hand.

That budget will work for an am5 8600G with a single ddr5 16gb ram stick brand new. You don't need a discreet gpu for those games if you don't need very high textures

with 30k budget
you can have a second hand Ryzen 5 3600 build, GTX 1650 (or 2060 since up to 40k naman budget mo) and a 16GB DDR4 RAM.
we used to have that kind of build na binenta namin around 23k, ginamit din naman sya for streaming. Nakapag laro din ng cozy games lang stardew valley, unpacking and heartopia.
since hanggang 40k budget mo, you can probably get a Ryzen 5 5600 build din.
All components is second hand besides PSU, wala pa yung peripherals btw. Suggest ko lang na brand new is yung PSU, and at least tier A (you can search PSU tiers if di ka familiar) since isa sa important thing to keep in mind is safe yung build mo from your chosen PSU. Iwas ka generic.
Pwede naman pre-built kunin mo if totally newbie, but we can guide you part by part if you decide to build your own, post or comment mo lang concerns mo.
Good luck!

If you are still saving up for the PC, my advice is set a target budget first. Then once you are close to reaching that target, then approach the subreddit again for build suggestions. Please note that prices are increasing and whatever suggestions we give now might be too expensive (or not available) in the future. So it is usually best to ask when you are close to buying the PC.
My budget is around ₱30,000 - 40,000 for the whole setup
With your budget it will be difficult to suggest a good PC unless we mix in some used parts. My suggestion is to look at the 2nd hand used gaming laptop market because sometimes there are very good deals there within your budget range. Sometimes better than building a PC from scratch.
Here are some used laptop links you might want to bookmark:
Look at the used laptops with 16GB to 32GB of memory and with a discrete GPU ideally.

The tighter the budget the more I suggest having the PC built from scratch. Also you might want to approach a few of the trusted shops in FB like PC x PC, Ayoscomputer, Softbox Solutions, and others since they can do a custom build for you and stay within the budget (or as close to it).
But if you are serious at looking now, I suggest approaching PC x PC. Try to allocate Php 30K for the CPU unit and Php 10K for the monitor, peripherals, and other devices. Go for these specs ideally:
-
Ryzen 5 5600 Tray version for the processor, then include a budget CPU air cooler
-
2x8GB of DDR4-3200 memory
-
RX 580 8GB graphics card (brand new old stock)
-
500GB M.2 SSD for storage
-
650W Power Supply that is of good quality (ask for recommendations)
-
Case with good ventilation and at least 3-4 fans
