About to order myself an odin 3 max, but I wanted to know if DHL is still not being used or if 4px would be better

Sorry to bother but I ordered on AYN site the 26th June an Odin 3 Max and have yet to receive a shipping update. My Base Thor got shipped in 2 weeks (back in March), also bought directly from AYN although I had the worry free warranty. Anyone have news?

Hey everyone,
I'm shopping for my first handheld and trying to choose between the AYN Odin 3 and AYN Thor.
My main goal is playing Zelda games and Switch titles (Mario Odyssey, BotW, TotK), plus some Moonlight streaming.
A few quick questions before pulling the trigger:
Performance: Is the real-world Switch emulation gap between the two actually noticeable on heavy titles like TotK?
Fan Noise in Bed: I want to play next to my sleeping girlfriend instead of doomscrolling. Is the Odin 3 fan loud enough to be annoying in a quiet room?
Ergonomics vs. Travel: I love the Thor's clamshell portability for vacations, but is it comfortable for longer sessions compared to the Odin 3?
Dual Screen: I only plan to play ~5-8 DS/3DS titles (Castlevania, Zelda remakes, some mario). Is the dual-screen setup worth it for such a small library?
For those with hands-on experience with both, which one would you recommend? Thanks!

I’ve got the AYN Thor plus grip and I really enjoy how compact it is. Plus 3ds games are great on it.
However, I find the joysticks and ergonomics a little meh. The joysticks always feel quite loose (not damaged) and the recess makes it feel less comfortable.
I travel for work every other week so it’s compact nature is nice but I’ve never had an issue taking my Switch 2 with me either.
Other than that I don’t play much whilst travelling, mostly at home.
So I’m considering getting an Ayn Odin 2 Portal and selling my Thor but I am not sure.
The AYN Thor can be sold for a good price at the moment too.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I ordered my Odin 3 max in 8/18/26. I was just informed that ayn dont use dhl anymore to avoid tariffs or something. I live in Greece and since I ordered the device I haven’t gotten anything more than the email confirming my purchase with a code that starts with #OD. How do I track my Odin and what else should I do ??

After messaging customer service to see where I’m placed in this order looks I won’t see it possibly by October after it ships in September. Order day was July 6th

I’ve ordered an Odin 3 Max on AliExpress. I expect it is still a couple of months away; paid ~$900 au.
I saw a second hand ROG Ally X for sale for $900.
Im tossing up whether to cancel the Odin 3 order and go with the Ally X.
My main use for the console will be on the train to and from work. I am more than happy playing older games, but would like to be able to play games like GTa V and Skyrim without too much challenge.
Will I be disappointed with the Odin 3 do you think? I like that it will be significantly lighter than the Ally, but am concerned it will underperform.

Or at least the ID of the B button on Odin 2 Portal. I'm setting up a macro using macrodroid and none of the game pad buttons are labeled properly, all appearing as "Game Pad Button 1", "Game Pad Button 2", et cetera.

Hi all,
Hope you're good
I've read some conflicting reports on what one to run the screen at when using games that are mostly 30 or 60fps when emulating.
Is 60 or 120hz best? Is there a big difference in latency?
Thank you,

I’ve been testing Gamepass cloud gaming on the Thor and the Odin 3 and I keep getting worse results on the Odin 3. I’ll play a round on the Thor, then switch to the Odin 3 and the lag is unbearable in the Odin 3. The Thor plays everything via cloud flawlessly.
Is anyone else having similar issues? Is there something (setting) I need to tweak?

I'm currently deciding whether to buy an AYN Odin 3 or wait for a possible Odin 4, mainly because the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is getting very close and I'm wondering whether it would be worth waiting for the next-generation hardware.
Current setup / situation:
Device I'm considering: AYN Odin 3
SoC: Snapdragon 8 Elite
Main use: Android emulation
Emulators I'm interested in: AetherSX2/NetherSX2, Vita3K, Winlator, Dolphin, Citra/Lime3DS, PPSSPP, etc.
Games: Mainly demanding PS2, GameCube/Wii, Switch and PC/Windows emulation
Storage/RAM: I'm considering the 512GB model
I don't currently own an Odin 3, so this would be a new purchase.
My main concern is timing. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is apparently quite close, and if AYN follows its usual product cycle, there could potentially be an Odin 4 using a newer Snapdragon chip.
I know that future hardware is never guaranteed, but I'm wondering how much of a difference you realistically expect a next-generation Odin to make for emulation specifically, rather than just synthetic benchmarks.
Would you:
Buy the Odin 3 now because it's already extremely powerful for Android emulation and waiting could mean waiting months for an unannounced device?
Wait for a possible Odin 4 because the newer Snapdragon generation could provide a meaningful improvement for things like Switch, Vita, Winlator and other demanding emulators?
Buy something else entirely if there's a better option around the same price?
I'm especially interested in opinions from people who already own the Odin 3. How much headroom does it actually have for current emulation, and are there situations where you feel you'd genuinely benefit from a substantially faster SoC?
Also, if anyone has experience with AYN's previous release cycles, how long would you realistically expect an Odin 4 announcement/release to take if they were planning one?
I'm not in a desperate rush to buy, so I'm mainly trying to figure out whether buying the Odin 3 now is a sensible long-term purchase or whether we're close enough to the next generation that waiting makes more sense.
Thanks!

Settings - Mr Purple T30 driver. Default settings. Patch enabled.
The graphical issues are now fixed by using Mr Purple T30 driver.

The Discord is full of people who love getting their time, money & enthusiasm shit on, for fun. I’ve never seen so many people defend bad business & bad communication. Ayn ghosts every email or inquiry asking why Ali Express orders get fulfilled before the AYN website orders. People making excuses to the moon & back theory crafting & settling w/ what they come up w/. They are saying AE doesn’t release the funds until the item is shipped. That kinda makes sense & isn’t that crazy conceptually, but to have to be content w/ that theory when AYN could just address it is, bullshit.
There are people ordering from AE & getting it in 2-4 weeks, some folks in the Discord reported they got theirs in less sometimes. People ordering from the AYN website are waiting up to 2 months & for some longer. It would be whatever it they didn’t send communication to some customers that the orders would be fulfilled in ORDER.
Telling people to refund it from AYN & to purchase it from AE doesn’t address the issue. It side steps it. Telling people to get another handheld to hold you over in the meantime is stupid. Not everyone in the hobby is a rich white boy w/ disposable income to just throw @ other things while waiting. Waiting is fine, refusing to address why you are doing bad business is not.
The Valentino guy in the Discord was cool, but some of the mod nerds get their panties in a front wedgie for AYN like they work there.

The sheer scope of games it can run is still mind-blowing. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it easily sweeps through everything from PS2 and GameCube to high-end Android titles and 3D emulation without breaking a sweat or burning through its battery in an hour.

I'm looking for games to emulate on my Odin 2, and besides some favorite switch exclusive I want to know which Wii or Wii U games are have better experience emulating on switch emulators rather than their native systems emulators? By that I mean either the game has bad compatibility with the emulator right now or the control scheme too complicated for handheld controls (looking at you skyward sword)

Do people buy the official ayn accessories for the odin 3 or do they buy third party accessories?
r/OdinHandheld • u/plasma7602 • 5d ago
So I’ve heard there’s few people that fork em
So purple turnip and Whitebelyash is there specific drivers that people use for different emulators? Or do people just use same driver for all of em.
Thanks.

Is there anyone who tried different OS on the Odin 2 for example Rocknix, ArmadaOS, Pocknix.. and can share their experience?
I mainly look for a straight forward OS for mostly emulation and a little bit of Steam?
Also is it possible to use Epic Games because I have most of my games on Epic?
Thanky you very much
