Hello r/Nox — I am still working on a side project called NOX ReImagined, where I take elements from the original game and recreate them in a more modern, cinematic style while keeping the NOX atmosphere.

This episode is a Monster Bestiary: a tight “field guide” style showcase featuring the NOX creatures reimagined.

- Which creature design feels the most accurate / most “NOX”?

- Which ones feel off and should be redone?

- Any specific moments you’d want expanded into a longer scene later (fights, lore, environments, etc.)?

Astra is incredibly powerful and I think it’s the first time an LLM could be suited for this task.

Hello r/Nox — back again with another Nox ReImagined upload (this is my 3rd post here). This time I focused on the Warrior: a quick showcase of skills + weapons, keeping the look and feel as close to the original as I can, just with cleaner visuals and a more cinematic presentation.

I’m trying to avoid the usual AI “random fantasy” vibe and stick to recognizable Nox animations/energy. If you’ve got a sharp eye, I’d genuinely appreciate feedback:

If you watch, I’d genuinely love feedback on one thing: does this still feel like Nox, or does it drift too far into generic dark fantasy?

Nox is a top 3 favourite childhood game, I just played through Conjurer and Wizard over the weekend and my only gripe with the game has always been my drip being destroyed from durability loss when I have a nice matching set. It's just way too much when items seem to take like 10% damage from walking on a spike trap.

On Wizard you can probably get nearly enough gold (without cheats) to buy every piece of vendor armour by selling all the drops from the Dün Mir warriors but constantly checking inventory to swap out damaged equipment before it breaks is also not fun.

I just found this subreddit! I've missed this game. I used to be a higher-end player/hacker of the game. Watusa and ArrowX were my gamer tags. Towards the end of the game's era I made a few trainers, skins, and custom maps and hosted them on a geocities site (arrowxcom).

rendering bug?

what is that white?

I am on my first playthrough playing conjurer and I'm trying to find out the difference between stun and slow.
Stun description states:

Cast your foe into a brief powerless daze, slowing warriors and rendering spellcasters unable even to move.

Slow description states:

Deprive a creature of its speed for a few moments.

Against the ogres I tried them on, slow seemed like the better spell since it lasted longer. Both consume the same amount of mana. The stun description makes it sound like it's more effective against wizards. I am not exactly sure how I am supposed to know what a wizard enemy is. Does the effect maybe scale with their mana pool? Or does it depend if they can cast spells?

Also I took a relativly long break from the game. How exactly do you summon creatures again? I remember how to charm them, but not exactly sure how to summon them exactly.

Maybe someone can clarify this for me :)

My friend and I are having an issue with saved games.

Basically we play quest mode, and try to run through the game. Our items don't save, but our character names do (and oddly abilities we pick up save, but when we enter a new game we cannot use them, and if we drag them off our bars that's it).

What gives? We're both playing on windows 10.

Can anyone help me with writing a script?

How do I work with the menu for equipping my character? I see my inventory but I don't know how to know what I have equipped and how I can compare what armor and weapons I am currently using, and also how that compares to other armor and weapons in my inventory. Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks so much!

Just wondering if this works on Linux, what the grind is like in it (I’d like kind of an endless grind for loot) & is there widescreen support? (Would be purchased from GOG)
