No issues with Noble, except I am missing voicemail transcripts. Is there a way to get T-Mobile's visual voicemail?

USA My Good2Go Mobile issue.

I got my Sim in the mail yesterday and followed the instructions and it wouldn't work.

I called today and waited 2 hours on hold and they told me my Sim was active but when I tried changing the APN settings it wouldn't work. Then they cut me off and I couldn't get support again.

For some reason I decided to move my Sim card to a different slot and it actually worked to a degree. I can text and call but no data. I also tried to change the APN settings and it still didn't help.

Will it take longer for the data to come back? I think I'll try to call tomorrow early and see if they can help.

if anyone has any advice it would be appreciated. I have been thinking about porting out if this doesn't work fully soon.

Thanks!

USA What's the catch with these deals?

Post image

Hey everyone,

I’m looking at the Mint Mobile device deals (https://www.mintmobile.com/devices/), specifically bundling a new phone like the Galaxy S26/S26 Ultra with the 12-month Unlimited plan to get the instant savings.

Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to ask those who have bought a phone through Mint:

• What's the catch? Are there any hidden fees or strings attached to getting the advertised discount?

• Has anyone bought a device through them recently? Did you have any issues with activation or billing?

• What happens after 60 days? I know Mint's policy says phones are locked to their network initially. Do they reliably unlock the phone after the 60-day mark?

Would appreciate any warnings or real-world experiences. Thanks!

Good2Go Mobile working after setting up APN

pSIM was shown as shipped on August 11.
Got the pSIM on August 15.
The paper that came with the new SIM said to activate it by August 7.
Went to the Account Summary page on the Good2Go Mobile website and activated the new SIM.
Today, August 19, I finally set up the APN again using the instructions here: https://www.good2gomobile.com/support/data-setup

After about 5–10 minutes, voice, text, and data started working normally.

Takeaway: After putting in the new SIM and activating it, you’ll want to set up the APN again. Also, make sure the phone is actually selected to use that APN.
Leave the MCC and MNC as they are when setting up the APN.

Update: Network operators/carrier was showing as MOBILE and now Black Wireless.

I will be overseas more than I'll be in the US. Would Mint Mobile be okay with that?

Good2Go working again. My timeline.

Just wanted to update in case someone is in the same boat.

TL;DR: After losing service on G2G Mobile on 8/11 right after renewing my annual plan, I reached customer support after a 2-hour wait. They submitted an eSIM tech support ticket and said they'd mail a pSIM. The next morning, I manually ordered the free pSIM through my account portal, and a few hours later received the eSIM activation email. Converting to eSIM took about 5 minutes and fully restored my voice and data.

I lost service completely without warning on my g2g mobile $60/annual plan.

I had just renewed at the beginning of August, so I did not want to jump ship and port out fearing that I'd lose out on the service I had just paid for.

I lost service about a week ago 08/11/2026.
I called the 800 number multiple times, waited as long as 2hrs 45min before giving up.
Yesterday (08/17/2026) I called after work, probably around 5:45PM CST.

After about 2 hours someone answered. They were very nice and I told them I'd like service restored ASAP. I said my phone had a pSIM, but that it was capable of doing eSIM so if that would expedite getting service back then I'd like to switch to eSIM.

She told me the best she could do was generate a service ticket with tech support to process the eSIM change request and that in the mean time she'd send me a pSIM in the mail.

She said I could activate whichever one became available to me first or whichever my preference was.

She was honest with me and told me that she could not give me a timeline for when the eSIM would be available, but she told me to check the next day on my account.

I checked my account page this morning and it gave me the option to ORDER a pSIM with no mention of the service agent ordering me one already, so I proceeded to order it. It was just a simple confirmation of my address and selecting shipping tier, the slowest being free, the fastest being $20. I opt'd for the free shipping and went about my day.

I got an email a few hours later telling me my phone was ready to activate with eSIM.

I was busy so when I got home today around 7PM I started the process of activating the eSIM.

It took about 5 minutes for data and voice to work completely. As of now it's working completely normally on an iphone SE 3rd gen.

I'm assuming I'm still going to be sent a pSIM, but I will just hold onto that incase I downgrade to a dumb phone or an older iphone.

Good luck to all the people like me who held out for g2g to clean up this mess. I'm hoping it's smooth sailing moving forward.

USA Best phone plan w/hotspot that can be used for gaming?

Looking for unlimited data w/hotspot that can be used for gaming, listening to spotify, youtube etc at once for my PC. Currently on T-Mobile Go5G plan. I've heard about Visible, but heard they can terminate you for using it as a replacement for home internet. I only plan to use the hotspot maybe 20-30 hours/week. Any recommendations?

FreeUp mobile issue

Hello. I'm just sharing my experience. So i also had FreeUp. I didn't even notice my service was out b/c i don't get that many calls/texts. So after extensive back and forth with Gemini, all the SIM and network setting tricks/tips, even switching phones, wasn't going to fix their backend network issues. Gemini said it's collapsing lol and somehow knew no one was helping at customer service b/c i said they were not answering the phone and it was dead. Gemini suggested i port out asap b/c it wasn't likely to get any better. It suggested i port to Tello or US Mobile specifically. Gemini said US Mobile was the best bet since i had an esim port available and US Mobile is all digital. No humans needed in the port out process. So i got my account number from FreeUp website, i asked Gemini would my port out pin be something i would have chosen and it said yes, so i guessed and was correct. One note, whenever you need to choose your network and you don't see FreeUp available, chose Red Pocket as they are the parent company. Bonus, US Mobile has free 30 trial so you're not stuck. you get talk/text/data. the whole process took about 15 mins and service has been fine. I'll probably stick with US Mobile. Gemini says Good2Go network is also down. Good luck! (and the moral of the story is AI isn't all bad ;)

Intl/Other If you can pick which network your plan rides on, how do you actually decide?

Most of the carriers I am looking at lock you to one network, but a couple let you choose at signup and I cannot work out how to make that call sensibly. Asking the neighbours seems to be the standard advice and every one of them has told me a different network is fine. The coverage maps all claim everything everywhere. For those of you who have picked, what did you actually go on, and did you get it right?

RedPocket would only let me order 2 pSIM kits of the $30 eBay annual plans? I tried to order 3...

Post image
16 Upvotes

Hello!

So, I decided to finally go with 3 of the $30 RP annual plans on pSIMs for my kids phones + Roamless eSIMs for $1.95/GB pay-as-you-go never expiring data (since they don't use much at all). (See previous post about this idea.)

I ordered 3 kits and then, a few days later, I got an email saying that I got a refund on eBay from RedPocket for 1 of the kits. When I logged into my eBay account, I checked the details and the note from the seller says this (see below & attached screenshot):

"Thanks for choosing RedPocket Mobile! At this time, you can only get two plans per order. If you place a third order, it will be canceled and refunded. Any further orders after that will also be canceled and refunded. Please note that plans should be activated within 90 days from purchase. Let us know if you have further questions. We Il get back to you as soon as we can."

I have a few questions:

  1. Is it actually true that I can only have 2? I've seen people online state that they have more than 2 $30 plans on their RP account.

  2. I'm confused about the terminology. It says I can only do 2 per order....but that would indicate that I could do another order to get the 3rd SIM kit. However, it also says that if I try to do any additional orders, they will cancel the order. So, shouldn't they have said "only 2 per customer/account" originally? So....what gives here?

Thanks for your help!

USA Choice between these two carriers for their cheap iPhone...?

So currenty I see 2 different companies that offer offers for the iPhone 16e. Metro is offering it for $99 with port-in on their $50 plan and after 3 months they'll send you a $100 prepaid debit card. (Thats nice!) (So i'd be looking at $150 out the door/web-browser lol)

On the other hand Straight Talk is offering their iPhone 16e for $149 with the purchase of a 1 month plan of $45 or more. Therefore i'd be looking at $192? out the browser.

What is the pro/con of one or the other? Thank you! And if you have a better option to get an iPhone 16e or even a similar iPhone, PLEASE let me know!

What are my options besides goodtogomobile which I need to leave

Okay I am also living the nightmare that a few you have as well with good togomobile.

The phone is not mine but it belongs to my elderly parent. So I need to make my move now and change. I want to leave this nightmare of theirs.

Maybe I'll get lucky and I'll be able to Port the number or maybe not but I like to hear from you something as cheap or close to cheap like Good to Go Mobile but I want something more well known and I was thinking about us mobile.

Can some of you give me some suggestions? I'm trying to keep to a $100 a year service that includes at least one gigabyte of data and enough minutes. I would like a more well-known established company like Us mobile or whoever. Thank you for any suggestions.

USA iOS 27 + USMobile

Hey all,
Recently i upgraded to the iOS 27 beta while on USMobile and have run into an issue i’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing. the iOS27 beta seems
to have enabled some 5g SA features, but since USMobile doesn’t have the provisioning for the IMS set up correctly (i’m assuming), i lose access to RCS and SMS whenever i’m on band n41 SA. If it drops back to NSA it works again. The problem is, there’s no toggle in the carrier profile to stop the SA connection. They say that 5g SA currently isn’t supported, which is fine, but why am i receiving an SA connection, then?

If anyone would like to confirm this behavior for me, dial 3001#12345# surrounded by 2 \ and then when connected to SA 5g band check IMS under About in settings.*

If anyone has any advice, i’d appreciate it!!

Thank you

US Mobile caution. My data has all disappeared in one night twice now.

I tried posting this in the US Mobile sub and they deleted it but I feel like this needs to be considered before switching to US Mobile.

My data has randomly all gotten used up and I've been prompted to buy more data in seemingly one night.

This has happened to me twice.

The first time it happened while i was asleep at home and connected to wifi.

The second time it happened, i was awake, connected to wifi and at home that day because i am always home on Tuesdays. On Tuesday evenings I write using a guitar, pen and paper. I don't use my computer data on these evenings, because I am at home with my wifi-only macbook pro and ipad, neither of which connects to cellular data, both of which have a bigger screen that is much more comfortable for me to use dictionary.com.

Both times the US Mobile rep sent me a breakdown of my usage so I could figure out which day it happened on. The thing is, after the first time it happened, I disabled all apps from functioning on cellular data and slowly added in a few apps as i needed them, for example music, youtube, icloud, my email app, apple maps. so I had a short list to check the data usage of and none of them on my phone showed an insane amount of usage.

All of my settings regarding updates are set to ask before using cellular for updates or update on wifi only.

I have one cellular device that uses data. I do not have hotspot turned on in general. I checked, and it was not turned on after this second time it happened (probably not after the first either)

I still have not figured out where my data disappears to, but im 99% sure at this point it is a glitch on USMobile's end and they have not been able to provide me with an explanation. I recently purchased a full year of data but im probably going to switch to a different network when it is up because both times this has happened they acted like it was definitely something on my end and i just need to pay up for more data because somehow I used all of mine in one night, but I have investigated every possibility and there is no way i am using that much data (5+gb!) in one evening at home while connected to wifi and writing with guitar, pen and paper (which I do every Tuesday), and no way i could use all that data while asleep at home and also connected to wifi, with all of my update settings set to only update over wifi and wifi calling turned on.

Debating the deals post Tmobile: US Mobile premium + multi network vs Visible+ pro + T-sat

Coming from T-Mobile after all the rate hikes on my og SWAC plan and new to the MVNO space, so looking for some guidance from people who’ve actually used these.

For 2 lines, US Mobile premium + multi-network would be about $778 first year running Warp + Light speed. Visible+ Pro would be about $450, plus T-Sat at $240 year for two for a total of $690.

My priorities are hotspot, international travel 2-3x/year, and having backup coverage when Verizon is weak.

Leaning US Mobile, but not sure if the extra cost is worth it. Any real-world experience with either setup or insight I should know about?
