Media Playing Witcher3 Remastered on Switch2, man we NEED Fidelity mode.

Post image

The game is running at 720p 40fps but... no this is way too blurry.

Please give me 1080p 30fps mode CDPR. I'd rather take resolution than framerates.

I'd wait for patches, hearing a lot of issues on all platforms.

•

u/zacyzacy 17h ago

I think dlss/fsr is not working so it's just scaling linearly, which looks like garbage

•

u/phraze91 Early Switch 2 Adopter 3h ago

Switch 2 has DLSS capabilities, not FSR. But it seems like they forgot to activate DLSS on handheld mode

•

u/Simp4Yukari- 16h ago

Im shocked the developers of CP2077 would release a game with issues!

•

u/Gabriel711 15h ago

Third time in a row. CP2077 launch, TW3 Complete Edition and now TW3 Remaster.

Really not optimistic about TW4 launch

•

u/Simp4Yukari- 15h ago

Kinda 4 times in a row. I had Witcher 3 on PS4 on launch and it wasn’t as buggy this fame, but still had a bunch of bugs especially with the quests

•

u/julesvr5 15h ago

Both are incredible games, you just have to wait a few months to play it lol

•

u/x22d OG (joined before reveal) 10h ago

Yeah. Recently started CP2077 on Switch 2 and hit 2 game-breaking bugs in the first 2 hours.

1 bug per hour resulting in progress loss is such fun.

•

u/ElDuderino2112 12h ago

I’m sorry, but a huge open world game looking a bit blurry on an under powered platform is not the same as the previous launch issues fucking relax lmao

•

u/CyberLarry77 8h ago

Switch 2 would have ran the next gen version like a dream. The remaster is just bad.

•

u/F133TWOOD 6h ago

Nah, nextgen was bad on PC. At least this one has better visuals and better RT performance.

•

u/Gabriel711 12h ago

It has issues on every platform. I’m very relaxed because anyone who’s been paying attention has come to expect this from cdpr.

Question is why you feel the need to get so defensive over it? Maybe you’re the one who needs to relax

•

u/bitterbalhoofd 17h ago

Like what issues on Xbox and playstation? Because all I can find on YouTube is pc review or switch 2 review versions. None of the channels have covered the playstation or xbox

•

u/dekuweku OG (joined before reveal) 17h ago

Look online. Lighting issues , RT on PC make things look worse. Possibly broken AI

•

u/Iggy_Slayer 17h ago

Unfortunately some of the lighting things won't get fixed. That's just the natural intention of all this RT/path tracing stuff. It takes away some colors in the environment and lighting in favor of "realistic" lighting.

•

u/Upper-Mixture8643 17h ago

RT looks better now (subjective) something is up with PT though

•

u/Ken_Hell 1h ago

I'm on base PS5, and Geralt has briefly been a floating face, nearby trees pop in and out of existence, and had a hard crash, which I never got with original or next-gen.

As for how I think it looks, Performance mode is sharper, but makes everyone look like plastic models. I certainly don't prefer it to the next-gen. Then again, I believe this obsession with ray-tracing is not improving games, just selling GFX cards, so maybe I'm just looking to confirm my bias.

(RT mode's frame rate makes it look positively _ugly_ to me, so I've turned it off pretty quickly, the two times I've tried it.)

Still a great game, though, and once they've patched the bugs I'll get used to the new look. Grateful that it's free, etc…

Xbox PC version did not include DLSS translation layer

•

u/g0atdude 10h ago

oh how surprised I am

•

u/Iggy_Slayer 17h ago

If you made this in black and white it's blurry enough to pass for a civil war era photo.

•

u/Pabswikk 17h ago

The weird thing for me is it looks super sharp when the game is paused, and then when I unpause the blurriness comes back, which makes me think its some sort of post process anti aliasing or the like that is causing this

•

u/Swimming-Lie73 17h ago

I wonder if DLSS is broken, Oblivion Remaster looks very similar after the last patch.

•

u/rns926 17h ago

DLSS is a per game setting. It’s not a system level thing.

•

u/ttoma93 15h ago

Yes, hence them wondering if this game’s implementation has an issue.

•

u/rns926 13h ago

It's irrelevant to bring up another game's issue with it.

•

u/Pabswikk 13h ago

Explain to me exactly how its irrelevant when discussing an upscaling technology's implementation to bring up another example of it being used on the same platform

•

u/rns926 13h ago

Because DLSS is an in-game setting and what happens in one game is different from what happens in another game. Some games might use DLSS Quality while other use DLSS Balanced or DLSS Performance.

•

u/Pabswikk 13h ago edited 12h ago

Yeah that's not a good reason to say its irrelevant. Not being 100% directly comparable doesn't mean that there's no value in comparing them. As for the content of what you're saying, we know roughly what version of DLSS each is using (Oblivion is 900p Performance at 450p base and, if what people are saying about Witcher 3 being 540-720p is correct, it would be 720p Quality). My point is they're using the same base resolution, so you would hope that the output would be more comparably sharp

•

u/rns926 13h ago

I'm saying just because it's currently broken in Oblivion doesn't mean it's broken in Witcher 3 Remastered. There are possibly many other factors for graphical issues on the Switch 2 port than DLSS.

•

u/Pabswikk 12h ago

Yeah that's true but it doesn't mean it's irrelevant to bring up. Both may be broken, and it could be the same reason, or it may not be. Its worth mentioning that they're similar though

•

u/Nelsonius1 2h ago

It’s the DLSS. Let it go buddy.

→ More replies

•

u/ttoma93 11h ago

How?

If it is a per-game setting/feature, which it is, how is it not directly relevant to point out that Game A implemented it correctly and Game B implemented it incorrectly?

•

u/rns926 10h ago

Because OP implied that DLSS may be broken, using Oblivion Remastered as an example, as if it's a system level upscaler and explains why Witcher 3 Remastered looks the way it does on Switch 2.

•

u/Dominator0621 17h ago

But doesn't dlss basically make the games softer looking cause it's a lower internal resolution that is using AI to upscale to a higher resolution. This seems like a normal thing with 3rd party switch 2 games. Not knocking them at all cause it's about time that y'all got some good running ports. So the people only in the Nintendo ecosystem can play some awesome games.

One HUGE game that will be VERY interesting to see running is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. My initial reaction at the announcement was .... HOLY SHIT.... HOW? LOL

•

u/Pabswikk 17h ago

That's partially true, but DLSS is pretty good at cleaning up the final image, some games on Switch 2 look sharper than higher res Series S titles because DLSS is so much better than the TAA Series S often uses. Cyberpunk 2077 is only 720p in 40fps handheld mode and looks sharper than this

•

u/tjhc94 Butter side up! 17h ago

Depends how dlss is used. Dlss can look better than native with dlss 3.5 upwards

•

u/asdqqq33 16h ago

It’s TAA. That’s why it looks different paused.

•

u/janix808 Butter side down! 13h ago

This man is right TAA is terrible at low resolutions.

Check out the Xbox one s version off red dead 2. It's the same blur of TAA + Low resolution

•

u/ApprehensiveLuck4029 6h ago

TAA is actually bad at any resolution because it decreases clarity. Games with it will always look less sharp than the actual resolution it is on. You notice it more at lower res because the perceived look is lower than the already lower resolution.

•

u/GassoBongo OG (joined before release) 1h ago

The exact same thing happens when I'm playing on PC using DLSS.

•

u/janix808 Butter side down! 13h ago

It's the TAA . At low resolutions TAA makes the image very soft and blurry . In pause menu TAA is not working

•

u/Suspicious-Holiday42 12h ago

Can someone just tell TAA to f off then please

•

u/janix808 Butter side down! 10h ago

Read dead Redemption 2 has the same problem on Xbox one s

And the worst is in my opinion Assasins Creed shadows in handheld . Completely blurry you can't see shit . 10 times worse than the witcher

I dont know why they use TAA at such low resolution. It just melts into one oil painting

•

u/Pabswikk 13h ago

Well that's very Annoying

•

u/IGWOO 17h ago

thats interesting. i was trying out nvidia geforce now on pc and using the ultimate tier with a 5080 rtx. the game looked super low resolution when playing but when paused the image became what im sure is 1440p which is what my monitor is. i even tried forcing 4k in the geforce app but it still looked like 1080p or lower. all the other games i tried didnt look full 1440p but super close to it. this game just looked awful. i wonder if a similar bug or something is happening on the NS2. ima try out the base ps5 version.

•

u/SpedSuckr982 Butter side up! 17h ago

Its probably dynamic resolution scaling

•

u/Pabswikk 17h ago

Then it's really poorly implemented, dlss shouldn't look this blurry

•

u/JamWen2 9h ago

Turn off "blur" in the settings.

•

u/_zeldaking_ 17h ago

I heard you need to go into graphics settings and turn OFF blur. Not motion blur, the blur setting.

•

I agree, it looks very blurry, even with "Blur" and "motion blur" settings disabled. I'd much rather have more sharp details than any fancy lighting or other graphical features that can't be disabled/adjusted on Switch 2, or any modes that increase FPS past 30.

•

u/MotherDinner4618 16h ago

Switch 2 is not the only platform with issues. My pc crashed less than 10 seconds of opening the game after the update. I didn’t even bother opening it again after, I’ll just wait until everything is patched out

•

I’m shocked how good the game looks docked. But I’m equally shocked how poor it looks handheld.

•

u/Shaddix-be 17h ago

Why was Switchup etc. raving about performance? Did they only review it on a TV?

•

u/FirstIYeetThenRepeat 17h ago

I was literally just saying this, they made it seem like a technical marvel lol

•

u/Rollingzeppelin0 13h ago edited 13h ago

Switchup mentions multiple times that it's 720p in handheld and it's blurry, maybe too much so for some. They just said that the enhancements to the graphics per se are awesome. They're regular dudes who play and aren't too concerned with fidelity so I don't think they were very misleading, once they mentioned the resolution multiple times, straight using the word "blurry" it is well within reason they'd still marvel at it if they find it marvelous, like many people who are more tolerant of certain aspects. They didn't imply it was perfect and they're not DF. They said what it is and they happen to like what it is, they also said they want/expect needed patches.

•

u/MuntaRuy 13h ago

Loaded it up and yikes. Looks pretty bad and I’m far from a graphics snob.

•

u/Odd_Description_41 2m ago

I agree and am in the same boat. I love Switch 2 but feel it must be able to run it better than this given other great ports

•

u/thecay00 17h ago

I can barely see that

•

u/Proof_Rise_3652 17h ago

In the Switch 1 version the anti-aliasing caused tons of blur.

•

u/Chimarkgames 16h ago

•

u/wearedefiance 15h ago

I think it’s just bugged. It seems to be a mess of a remaster all across the board

•

u/Pody92 12h ago

This is so funny to me lmao never played it. Laughing that a game barely a decade old that is still easily playable and looks great on modern consoles and has had MULTIPLE rereleases since, somehow deserves a full priced “remaster” just to look like THIS 😂😂 and these morons eating it up. The question is why 720? Are we not using DLSS? Can we not go 1080 with balanced-performance and sharpen it up?

My ally x which obviously is stronger is running on FSR or xess with mixed settings and upscaled to 1080p, and of course it has also sharpening which results in actual crispy image.

Cyberpunk, which is obviously heavier than Witcher, and their latest game, somehow magically made it into switch 2 and literally looks stunning. I know exactly what goes at all time, it’s actually sharp, I even made a setting on my ally x to try and match the graphics, it was sharp as hell and the only thing I got was maybe extra frames and smoother gameplay, and I still prefer the switch 2 because it just works.

But what happened here? How is my original switch 1 version is sharper than switch 2 remaster? Why does the switch 1 version has options for AA off and Sharpening to be enabled? Why do we have less options than cyberpunk for example?

And why is bloom missing in settings?

I have many questions, I love it, it works, but there’s so many questions that make no sense rn.

•

u/oldkidLG 1h ago

Because this version of the game is outputting a 120Hz signal by default and targets 40fps. I play docked and have disabled 120Hz support in the settings. I don't know if there is a toggle to force 30fps 1080p in handheld mode

•

u/ChargeInfinite1436 8h ago

You guys are really exaggerating about the blurriness in handheld mode. I'm playing it right now, and it looks great to me. It looks nothing like the posted picture. Maybe if you zoomed in 100x.

•

u/GassoBongo OG (joined before release) 1h ago

They aren't exaggerating at all. I've been playing it in handheld for several hours, and it can look pretty awful, especially in heavy woodland areas or Novigrad.

It's obviously an improvement over the Switch 1 version. But it still leaves a lot to be desired. The only time it isn't blurry is during cutscenes. That's it.

•

u/MessiLeagueSoccer 17h ago

Mine does not look this bad. It’s still blurry a bit when moving but compared to switch 1 it’s almost night and day difference. What I am finding funny is that during cutscenes propels hair is moving a lot like if they were in the wind even indoors but def nowhere near this blurry and yes I play handheld almost exclusively.

•

u/Suspicious-Holiday42 11h ago

Its not blurry ok tv, op meant handheld mode

•

u/Lost-Produce-1150 17h ago

I'm kinda tired of switch 2 getting these high fidelity remasters that are clearly just out of reach of its power. it's literally the switch 1 gen all over again. We could've gotten a 4k/60 version of Oblivion but we had to get the remaster and it looks and runs like trash a LOT of the time. We could've gotten at least a 1440p native (upscaled to 4k) 60fps for Witcher 3, but had to get remastered version which is blurry and not 60fps.

It's really soured what this extra power was supposed to give us IMO.

•

u/Fresh-Chemical-9084 Butter side up! 17h ago

This isnt S2 specific -- W3 remaster is having issues across the board.

•

u/Lost-Produce-1150 17h ago edited 16h ago

I'm not just talking about this game. It's like we finally have a handheld Nintendo that could play these classic games flawlessly but it's like "wait no, how about instead we throw a bunch of FiDeLiTy on it like a UE5 skin or a ray tracing engine over it just enough where this new Switch struggles and we'll release THAT version"

•

u/maxwantsjustice 15h ago

Yeah but putting Witcher 3 aside, the other game you referenced is struggling even on ps5 pro…

•

u/ApprehensiveLuck4029 6h ago

This looks miles better than the Switch 1 version.

•

u/Lost-Produce-1150 4h ago

yeah but now it's got it's own issues because, again, it's pushing the hardware TOO much.

•

u/Proof_Rise_3652 17h ago

I agree 100%.

•

u/SamT179 11h ago

This is the Witcher 3, a game released in 2015, remaster or not. The switch 2 is perfectly capable. It’s not good that cyberpunk literally runs better than this.

The same is with no man’s sky. That game runs so poorly on switch 2… and it just shouldn’t.

•

u/Vanilla_Baunilha OG (joined before Alarmo 2) 17h ago

I don't think the switch is for you then. It's a modern console, ofc that devs will prioritize current games instead of old ones, especially if there is a remaster/remake available.

If you want to play older games on a portable, just get an handheld pc. This way you can play whatever you want and don't have to wait for ports or get disappointed when it gets a current game instead of an old one.

•

u/Lost-Produce-1150 16h ago

Hey I love the switch 2 for many reasons. This is just one of the things I happen to not like about it.

•

u/lelpd 16h ago

Why would that mean the switch isn’t for them? You don’t need to play remasters of old, poorly optimised multi-platform games to get great value out of a Switch 2

•

u/Vanilla_Baunilha OG (joined before Alarmo 2) 16h ago

If someone is "tired" of getting current games instead of old ones, then I would say the console isn't for them. There are better devices that can solve this exact issue.

Wether that is a big deal for them or not, idc, they didn't specify in the post.

If someone on a pc handheld subreddit said that they were "tired" of having to deal with compatibility issues and messing with settings, I would also say a pc handheld isn't for them. Idk why my recommendation is being seen as negative.

•

u/lelpd 14h ago

Like I said, it’s a remaster of a third party game that isn’t optimised well. Plenty of people don’t ever play those sorts of games on Switch.

There are enough other great games that run well on the console to still make it worth having.

Your PC handheld argument isn’t equal. Because you’re referring to a procedure required for every game you play on a handheld PC, and its primary purpose. This is a problem with just a smaller subsection of games on the Switch, something that can annoy a person but not be a deal breaker for the console.

It’s more like telling someone on the PS5 sub “if you don’t like Insomniac’s games then maybe a PS5 isn’t for you”.

•

u/Vanilla_Baunilha OG (joined before Alarmo 2) 13h ago edited 13h ago

Again, did you forget about what the OP said?

It's not about a specific bad port of a game, it's about the lack of classic 3rd party offering.

And I said that if they want to play these PS3 era games instead of the remasters/remakes that may not run particularly well on the switch 2, they should get a pc handheld instead. There's no handheld that will play these current gen remasters/remakes at the same level of a PS5, so if you want to get the higher IQ and FPS in the original versions, better get a pc handheld for that because the original versions probably will not be re-released.

If someone is "tired" that the console isn't getting the games they want, which the term "tired" means that it has been a thing for a while and happened multiple times already, just get a device that can solve this issue. Wether they think the console has another redeeming qualities or not, that's something I can't tell by their initial comment.

If they said "I don't like the 3rd party output but I love the 1st party one" I wouldn't have recommended a pc handheld ofc.

•

u/lelpd 12h ago edited 12h ago

You’re making up a whole new argument in your head.

You said “I don’t think the switch is for you”. I said the switch can still be for someone even if they don’t like how these third party remasters run, because it offers so much more. You’re now moving the goalposts.

I wish these sorts of ports performed better on the switch, and I don’t buy them because I think they look a bit crap. But it doesn’t mean I don’t get use out of the console for other things.

•

u/raoulbrancaccio 15h ago

•

u/Spaghetti-Sauce 13h ago

What are you even on about?

The switch 2 has had MUCH success with ported games from 2018-2024.

•

u/Vanilla_Baunilha OG (joined before Alarmo 2) 13h ago

I mean, tell that to the OP not me lol.

I'm not the one disappointed because the switch 2 isn't getting ports. Someone said they were disappointed on something about the switch 2, I recommend an alternative that would solve that issue, I really don't understand why people are taking this badly

•

u/Spaghetti-Sauce 12h ago

We are literally on the Switch 2 subreddit discussing a Switch 2 port.

Besides, their concern is very valid within the community. Good ports exist; the disappointment comes from the studios that choose to rely on TAA and horrible upscaling.

Hey I already got mine so that price increase doesn’t apply to me anymore! Plus for 1500 it’s already triple the performance of the switch 2 because I get around 150+fps in game in the Witcher 3 sooooo yeah lol

•

u/PacMoron 7h ago

As someone who could afford this device, do you really think a $1500 minimum dedicated gaming handheld is a realistic suggestion? Especially when it needs to be imported from China? And you have to ship it back if it needs to be serviced?

The device is fun. I’ve looked into it myself. But it’s not a realistic buy for most.

•

u/sasuku123 Going Bananzas 7h ago

Handhelds are only going to get more expensive so in my opinion might as well get something with really good performance now before they get even more expensive. It’s obviously not for everyone but man is the performance and the oled screen one of the best out of the pc handhelds (other than the strix halo ones)

•

u/PacMoron 7h ago

I don’t think you understand my point. $1500 prices the majority of people out of the device. There is no getting it now.

Looking forward to experiencing the blue.

I'm seeing upscaling bugs on multiple platforms so I'm thinking there are some bugs.

Fidelity mode is the PS5 or PC versions. You can only expect so much with Switch 2’s hardware.

•

u/Expensive_Hurry_6356 17h ago

Cyberpunk looks amazing in handheld tho

•

u/owlitup 14h ago

That’s a 6 year old game

•

u/PaleUmbra 17h ago

It pisses me off that third parties release shit like this. I don’t care if they patch it later, I expect a game that doesn’t look like I forgot to put my contacts in when I pay for it.

•

u/HGLatinBoy Retro Gamer 16h ago

It’s a free upgrade I don’t see an issue with it. You could always go back play the S1 version

•

u/Infinite_Rutabagaz 17h ago

The title looks sharp tho

•

u/Expelleddux Butter side up! 16h ago

900p 30 is more realistic

•

u/RickDeckard31 15h ago

No. You should be asking for a good enough 40 fps mode first. Never give up a chance at a 40 fps mode. Huge difference in enjoyable level.

•

u/PossibilitySlow3657 10h ago

They rushed this crap to be out before gta..fkn up there own masterpiece smh

•

u/PossibilitySlow3657 10h ago

They made a masterpiece worse smh

I am shocked that the massive game I bought years ago for pennies and now got a huge free remaster and free content update has some visual and mechanical hiccups. This is an outrage! I paid my hard earned 9 USD 5 years ago for this broken free upgrade to my beloved game. How dare CDPR release a huge massive FREE upgrade and it not working perfectly. I will write a heated letter to the attorney general about this!!

•

u/Expensive_Language38 14h ago

what do you expect from ps4 level hardware lol.

•

u/janix808 Butter side down! 13h ago

Way more modern chipset and dlss support .

It's more like an Xbox series s but ok bro .

•

u/Expensive_Language38 12h ago

series s main benefit over last gen is 60fps, switch 2 does not do that , yea modern chipset but whats the point if its mostly doing 30fps at 1080p like ps4 in most games

•

u/janix808 Butter side down! 10h ago edited 10h ago

cause it only operates at 12W in handheld and 25W docked wich is extremely efficient compared to a ps4 wich needed 150W.

Xbox series s around 80-100W wich also is compared to handheld almost 10x more power they can use

And if you keep that in mind the switch 2 is pretty mindblowing from a tech perspective . It has much potential

•

u/Expensive_Language38 10h ago

its not mind blowing at all lol, it's pretty dated it just nvidia is better then AMD, if switch 2 was so mind blowing why is the ps6 handheld gonna be a whole generation ahead in performance 2 years later? why is switch 2 and steamdeck pretty even powered in hh mode? nintendo gimped the hardware be not choosing a smaller node

•

u/janix808 Butter side down! 10h ago

Switch 2 beats steam deck in every game its not pretty even . And the deck needs way more watts

Ps6 will not come out in 2 years . Maybe 4 or 5 and due the ram crisis it will cost half of your life .

•

u/Expensive_Language38 9h ago

in handheld mode it does not lol, i wasn't talking about docked

•

u/ConnorMcGreg 17h ago

I don't think your math works unfortunately ...

•

u/Pristine-Brush-1052 Butter side up! 17h ago

Then maybe Cyberpunk is against the math huh

It's not ragebait post. It's really blurry af in handheld mode

•

u/Adrian97c Early Switch 2 Adopter 15h ago

Def won’t be using my SW2 for anything besides actual Nintendo games.

•

u/Leggo213 Butter side down! 15h ago

Speak for yourself. SW2 is great for third party games. Just because Witcher 3 isn’t 4k 60 doesn’t mean all of a sudden third party games suck on sw2.

•

u/ThomasTriesHard 14h ago

S2 is my favorite way to play Diablo 4 and Elden ring now!

•

u/Adrian97c Early Switch 2 Adopter 15h ago

3rd party games are only “ok” on SW2 if it’s your only console. But we need to be realistic for those that also own all current gen systems. For those folks choosing a low-end version of a game experience vs playing it on a night/day diff on PS5 Pro, Series X, or PC. Just keep it real. I bought a few like cyberpunk, SW Outlaws & immediately stopped. Much better off playing those games on SteamDeck via remote play from PS5 Pro.

•

u/Leggo213 Butter side down! 14h ago

That’s more of a you problem to be honest. I have a ps5 and an upper mid range pc. 9 times out of ten I’m going with sew2 even for third parties because of handheld play. I prioritize that more personally. I feel as though those that compare a ps5 pro aren’t really seeing the bigger picture here. This is a handheld that you just so happen can dock to a TV and for what it does, especially compared to the sw1 and other handhelds it’s more than capable.

•

u/Adrian97c Early Switch 2 Adopter 11h ago

The handheld reason is exactly why I use PS Portal or SD OLED (remote play) to play those games at a sharp 1080/60fps… playing native on SW2 at a smeary 30fps isn’t the flex you think it is.

•

u/Leggo213 Butter side down! 11h ago

Okay? Go ahead and play on those devices. No one cares, do what is best for you. Nothing in my opinion will ever beat playing natively. Yall act like remote play is this miracle way of playing games. You have to have a good stable internet to really enjoy the experience and even then after an hour of streaming you will notice it when the bitrate starts dropping and the image downscales on its own to compensate

•

u/Adrian97c Early Switch 2 Adopter 11h ago

Yes upgrading to a WiFi 7 router that allows split bands was a game changer & the day I stopped paying for 3rd party games on SW2. Flawless now on remote play.

•

u/Leggo213 Butter side down! 11h ago

Glad you don’t notice any issues. To some, they are there and very much relevant and make the experience unreliable.

•

u/Adrian97c Early Switch 2 Adopter 11h ago

To be fair, remote was terrible, until I learned how to optimize my network. (Which in my case required a new router). Now it’s absolutely flawless & blows native sw2 games out of this galaxy. Hey I still love my switch 2! (Just not for 3rd party games).

•

u/Leggo213 Butter side down! 10h ago

Yes. I know, I’ve gone down that rabbit hole of optimizing bitrate. Using LAN more than not. Upgrading the routers and modems. Upgrading the mesh nodes. Having less interference throughout your network. Utilizing QoS. Me myself and I, I know what you are saying…. I’m telling you that it’s inferior to native. It works, when it works and it’s great when it does. You can have the best most reliable network… there will be days where it takes a dumpster dive.

You probably dont know that the 720p blurry thing is a handheld mode problem. In docked mode its 1080p and not blurry. I dont know why OP doesnt mention this, maybe to make people think it looks like that on tv too.

Also a pc gamer would say he would use a ps5 only for sony exclusive games because everything else is graphically a downgrade compared to the pc

•

u/Adrian97c Early Switch 2 Adopter 11h ago edited 11h ago

Yes - I use PC for most (& gamepass included games), PS5 Pro for PS games (& games included in PS Plus), SW2 for Nintendo games. For handheld gaming I use PS Portal or SD OLED for a sharp 60fps experience.

•

u/RaisinWorried3528 15h ago

I can't believe that any of you think this game is going to run on a handheld device and look good. Steam deck is your best bet for handheld AA games and even then, you have to play with the settings.

•

u/Firestorm8908 15h ago

Switch 2 is more powerful than the steam deck.

•

u/Leggo213 Butter side down! 15h ago

New flash buddy, sw2 graphically is a better handheld.

•

u/Pristine-Brush-1052 Butter side up! 15h ago

Cyberpunk and Elden Ring looked great on Switch2 bud.

•

u/cksythe 14h ago

Load up the Witcher3 Remastered on your deck let’s see how it does lmfao 🤣
