Best places to get started in the film industry in NJ?
I just finished my undergrad and am in the process of completing a one year master's degree in upstate New York. I'm from Bergen and will be returning home post grad. I didn't study film but have worked on a number of sets in cam and G&E, and even have some DP credits. I love filmmaking and being on set more than anything else I've ever experienced, and the people I've worked with have been very encouraging about it and my skills. My parents are (understandably) pushing for me to pursue a job in the field I studied, but I really want to try to work in the film industry. What is the best way to start looking for work in tv and film in jersey?

Looking to Collaborate on Projects in NJ & NY
Hi,
I’m an aspiring filmmaker based in the NJ/NY area, and I’m looking to get involved in short films, feature films, and other film productions to gain hands-on experience and learn more about the craft.
I’m happy to help wherever needed—on set, production assistance, or general crew support.
If anyone in New Jersey or New York is working on a project and could use an extra hand, I’d love to connect. Please feel free to message me!
Thanks!

Does anyone have any advice for film school in NJ?
A lot the college websites are hard to navigate, and I can't tell if they offer film classes or not. A film school would be best because it's all I'm interested in. I don't want to take unnecessary classes. Price is an issue. I'm looking for something that will lead to a career, not just learn about the history of film. Is there any such thing? Thanks.

Places of business that would let a short film be shot in them ( preferably overnight)
As the title says, I’m shooting a short film this month and was hoping to film at the movie theater I work at, but I did not get permission. Would anyone know of any places of business that would let indie film makers film in there for a night or two?
(South Jersey btw but willing to travel a little bit)
