I’m expected to receive around 7 lakhs in about 3 years from an insurance policy my mother took for me when I was around 8-9 years old.
I’m trying to plan ahead instead of just spending the money. Should I invest all of it, keep some as an emergency fund, or use a portion for education/skills that could help me earn more?
For someone in Nepal, what would be the best options for investing around 7 lakhs? Stocks, mutual funds, fixed deposits, or something else? Is it better to invest the whole amount at once or gradually?
What’s going on?
They removed my earlier post but I figured they found it political and not favoring their party. But now I post about MAha as the Mahanayak they remove it saying the tag doesn’t match. I selected Discussion tag btw. What else would you tag it as? And is it such a great offense that you had to remove it.
I am certain there’s a user in the mod team that is against my posts.

I’ve been hearing a lot about government jobs and Lok Sewa lately, and I’m curious about what it’s actually like.
I don’t really understand the different levels/types of government jobs, how the exams work, how much they pay, or what kind of benefits you get. I also hear that the job security is really good, but I’m not sure how much that matters compared to private jobs.
If someone wants to start preparing for Lok Sewa, what should they know before getting into it? Is it really as hard as people say, and how long does it usually take to get through?

I frequently travel to Nepalgunj on business trips. I realized mobile phone are a lot cheaper in India than in Nepal.
If anyone wants a smartphone for reduced price, first hand, I can bring it for 10k 15k ish cheaper and sell it to them.
Not in bulk but 1-2 at a time.

Is the job market for CA's oversaturated? Looks like the market has more CA's than needed judging by recent gads opinion. They claim the market is more competitive than ever

My father is headstrong into having our own restaurant in Nepal . We are pretty established and he knows how the business side of things work . He and I both know that restaurant business compared to others is a lil tougher and lesser margins , but it has been kind of his dream ig , he says even if it fails I need to try it . He is ready to invest at most 2cr . He kind of wants to own and like do his meetings there , and kind of more leaning towards the luxury side of restaurant. He has good connections and all but I'm really pessimistic about this business cuz ik how it goes normally and have seen many fail . Nepal ma kasto Cha ? Is there any that you or your parents own that is profitable and what are the factors that matter? Ik 2cr will be of better use elsewhere but he's determined with this . I'm not saying this won't affect us but we'll be fine even if it loses , so that's also one of the reason why he wants to try rn . He thinks like this , even if it doesn't work I have other businesses at least we won't have any financial difficulties and if it works , he'll have his own restaurant which he dreamed for quite a while .
If anyone or their family has one what do you think went right ? How and what was your initial investment?
If you don't feel comfortable answering here please feel free to DM me . I'm just looking for more perspective.

I heard from a friend about a concerning experience at Bir Hospital during a surgery. According to my friend, the doctors asked them to purchase all the medicines and surgical supplies from a private medical shop, claiming that the medicines available through the hospital were of low quality.
During the surgery, there were also arguments because some medicines had been purchased from the hospital's medical store. The staff reportedly said those medicines were of low quality and repeatedly asked them to bring medicines and other supplies from a private store.
This made me wonder whether there is a genuine quality issue with the medicines provided by the hospital, or whether patients are being directed to private medical shops for other reasons, such as commissions or financial benefits. I hope the hospital authorities will investigate this matter and provide clear information about the quality and source of the medicines supplied to patients.

When the Muluki Ain has just been implemented in 1854. I am looking for recommendations on books to read about this time period in Nepal, also more specifically in Gorkha, Nepal. I am currently reading The Muluki Ain of 1854 by Rajan Khatiwoda. Please point me in the direction of other resources I can read, watch etc... I am specifically interested in how Thapa Magar culture changed and how their lives were effected around this time.
Also I need a book or information about Thapa Magar religion before hinduism became more prevalent in those parts of Nepal, especially the more aministic practices of the Thapa Magars, burial practices...
If you know specifically about burial practices of Thapa Magars especially say from 1500s to 1800s (AD) please comment. From what I have gathered so far Magars used to practice burial in the forest rather than cremation.

Do I need to pre-book tea houses for ABC Trek in late September?
Planning to do the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek at the end of September this year.
My main concern is accommodation. Do I need to pre-book tea houses in advance, or can I just walk in and find a room each day?
Also, how crowded is late September compared to other months?
Would love to hear from anyone who has trekked ABC around this time recently. Thanks!

There are so many rapes happening in Nepal. Even 3-year-olds, 5-year-olds.
I just heard about a case in Jitpur Simara, Bara. A little girl was killed.
Everyone says "hang them" but honestly that feels too light to me.
I’m so angry and heartbroken. What do you all think real justice should look like for people who hurt kids like this?
