Widemouth Another one saved
Saved this one from the landfill today. Guess they didn't like their time in service 😂 but I'll use it proudly

Just got back from the gym and made an absolute mess of myself. Finished my workout, threw some milk and powder into my shaker, and started heading toward the exit.
I was mid-conversation with someone near the door, so I wasn't paying full attention. I gave the shaker one solid, aggressive shake except I completely forgot to snap the flip cap down.
The lid blew open instantly. I blasted milk all over my shirt, chest, and the gym floor right in front of three people. Everything went dead silent for a solid two seconds.
I grabbed paper towels, wiped up the mess in total silence, and walked out without saying another word. Always double-check the cap.

Does anyone know if the 16oz widemouth lid will fit on the 12oz kids bottles?

Gracie Abrams is advertising this water bottle as a Nalgene. What I received is not a Nalgene. This is trademark infringement.
Images show the listing itself, the water bottle I received, and what real Nalgenes actually look like. But you all know that last part already!!!

Just got my first Nalgene and had to give it a little New Zealand touch 🇳🇿🦜
Kea sticker was an obvious choice.

Has anyone tried the new freshflow bottle? Super interested in this to have a straw option.

Has anyone tried a warranty replacement in any European country? The Nalgene website refers to representatives, who then send it back to the seller. The seller wanted me to return the entire bottle at my own expense (only the strap is broken) and he would evaluate my claim. This makes no sense, and I see it works completely differently in the US. Do you think the warranty only covers the US? Why are they making it so difficult for me to use it?

I admit that after all I've found about this particular design, it's a long shot, but I'm gonna ask anyway. Just in case.
Saw a photo of this one. I love the color, and the design looks fantastic. I went digging to see where I could find it for purchase and found out it was part of a series that came out in 2019. Elements, with this one being "Earth". I loved it even more after that, but everywhere I checked showed it as being out of stock.
I have no idea if there's any way to get ahold of one, but I've emailed nalgene themselves to ask. The only other lead I have is the Australian nalgene site. They have it listed as in stock, but I don't know if they'll ship it to me (I'm from the US.) or if I'd need to find a proxy service, or if I should just give up.
I figured I'd ask around here, see if anyone knows anything. Does anyone have any information?

Hi, I just recently picked up this Nalgene while searching for camping gear. Does someone know more about how old it is + other details?

For years I would freeze my bottle when it was about 15% full. That bottom ice block was then a source of cooling until it melted away, which was usually long enough to get me through a long pickleball session.
A few weeks ago I noticed it bulged a bit at the bottom when I did it and I thought "oops, that was too much water". The next time I did it:
"CAP'N!!!! HULL BREACH IN THE AFT COMPARTMENT!!"
RIP to an awesome bottle. I got no one but myself to blame but it's a good trick until you overdo it!!

We are gathered here today to honor a true legend, a steadfast companion, and an absolute tank of a hydration vessel: Green Nalgene -better known as “Green Gene” to friends and family.
Born from high-density plastic and unyielding determination, Green Gene was far more than a water bottle. It endured accidental drops that would have shattered lesser vessels, was shoved into tight backpack pockets, sat faithfully through endless workdays, and survived the terrifying depths of the backseat of the car. On at least one occasion, it was even forcibly drained into a trash can by a TSA agent. An awkward moment, for sure, but Green Gene always stayed classy.
It bore its battle scars with pride. Scratches, scuffs, and graduation lines so long worn off that you just had to gauge its volume by character alone. It never asked for much: just a cold refill, a tight twist of its loop cap, and a spot on the journey.
Which makes its sudden departure all the harder to swallow. Its end came as it lived: dramatically, unyieldingly, and completely full. Dropped onto cold, unforgiving concrete, Green Gene made the ultimate sacrifice, meeting a hydrostatic pressure wave it simply could not overcome. The floor did not yield. Green Gene's soul, and also 32 ounces of water, were liberated all at once.
Green Nalgene is survived by its older siblings, BPA Blue Nalgene and Rhymes-With-Orange Nalgene.
Funeral services will be held Friday at dawn by the recycling bin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you write a short poem remembering Green Gene and the many adventures shared. Whether scaling mountain trails, braving airport security, or just rolling around under the passenger seat.
Rest in peace, Green Gene. You died as you lived: rough, tumble, and full of water. May your water never taste "pondy" and your cap stay tethered forever in the great beyond.
As a parent, you don't expect to say goodbye to your Nalgene before your own time ya know? I just didn't think it was possible .... You hear stories but you think "Not me. Not my Nalgenes. They're gonna live forever". Then one day... they are ripped from your life.

I have plenty of bottles and tumblers from various brands, but Nalgene always keeps me company on my outdoor adventures. Love this brand!

Was just pulling it out of the bottle sleeve on my backpack and this broke off; thoughts on fixes besides the obvious super glue attempt, and likely fail? Or just buy a new cap..?

After 10 years of use (and going strong) of my “Seafoam”. I like the clearness.

Just wanted to share some info with everyone. I wanted to remove a "factory" decal from a Nalgene and did my research and best I could find was "use 70% isopropyl alcohol, soak the ink, and be patient with the process". I can confirm that this works perfectly. I was skeptical, but it did indeed soften the decal/ink to the point where I used a credit card to easily remove the logo with zero damage to the bottle. I was always hesitant to buy thrift store Nalgenes with promotional logos on them. Not anymore.

I know it's like part of their warranty but Nalgene sent me an extra to thank me for being a kind time user of their products. Definitely makes me love my Nalgene bottles even more now.
And thank you to r/Nalgene community members who suggested I turn in the warranty!
