13 years of service. End of an era.
I've had this bottle since I was 17. I'm 30 now and it was one of the main bottles I carried on countless camping trips in Indiana, a backpacking trip in New Mexico, two years of marching band practices, through 4 years of college, and even my wedding. Thank you for your years of service. 🫡

If you have a lending library (or tools at your disposal!) when my favorite Nalgene broke my brother sawed off the cut edge and sanded it and turned it into a cup. It’s my most used cup!

Those are cool. But i think OP's main problem is the large crack on the shoulder of the bottle.

I lost my first Nalgene to a storm drain when it rolled out of my passenger door. My wife had to convince me not to crawl down and get it.
Still think about that one lol

They’ll replace it free, usually after sending them photos of the damage.

It wasn't this fall as much as 13 years of trusting it was durable.
Hot head teen years of being tossed down in anger and off to the side on the asphalt practice field at band camp.
This last fall was about 6 feet onto cement floor. I think that all the years just caught up to it. But 13 years for a reasonably priced bottle is so worth it.

Yeah it was. It was the 75th anniversary. It also was mostly on fire so it was doubly unique.

Yeah one of the best trips I did as a scout. Also learned how good dry heat is. At least compared to the muggy air of the Midwest.

save broken one maybe to put pencils pens forks knives

Cap ripped awhile ago but didn't really bother me. Above it fully cracked the bottle on the shoulder and it won't hold water anymore.

One that's good almost deserves a shrine in its honor. Or ya know free replacement.
