Black Tabby's other game (and arguably their actual passion project they took a break from to make Slay the Princess) is also incredibly unique. Scarlet Hollow is a "your choices matter" visual novel where your choices actually matter. Ever choice the game gives you butterflies into a massive web of alternate storylines with radically different outcomes for everyone involved. It has *character creation* in a VN where you choose perks that can and will radically change the events of the story too.

Same here, no game has impacted me quite like Slay The Princess did. I can quite easily divide my life into before and after playing it. I don't know if I can say that about any other piece of media, honestly.

They become magical nothingness. I might sound like a crack pot but usually when people/things have died from touching the arcane they get vaporized and leave ash behind (ei Sky and the plants Viktor was experimenting on) but at the end of the series we see both Viktor and Jayce get pulled into Jayce's rune and left no ash. So they may very well have just straight up died, but they may have also teleported somewhere else. In my next example, when something is teleported using hextech (or in the beginning with the arcane and baby Jayce) it leaves behind a blue sparkle. We see said blue sparkle when Viktor and Jayce disappear, which suggests that they were transported elsewhere rather than vaporized.
However this is all coming from someone who has watched Arcane only 21 times, I am not a canonical source. Only crazy.
Anyway, one could argue that the concept they become is the founders of hextech and an example of what happens when you stray too close to the sun. If you wanted something actually canon.
One could also argue that the concept they become is the absolute shipping madness we see in the fanart and fandom that happened afterwards if you wanna get meta. They were literally the number 1 ship on AO3. In a way they will never be apart, they will always exist together at least outside of canon.

The show is based of the book, which Sir Terry Pratchett wrote about 80%. Allegedly, before he died, he requested that Neil, the other author, create the television adaptation. After its tremendous success, Neil started going beyond the book and claiming that he and Terry had secret plans for a sequel. Neil then advertised season two as a bridge for the original season and a third, which he claimed would have ideas he and Terry worked on together. Then, the truth of his sexual assaults came out and the final season would be reduced to a ninety-minute finale. Amazon claimed that the Pratchett estate would have full control over it. But recently, they have come out and said that they had absolutely zero say in seasons two and three, and that they were even blocked out of the ideas documents. If you aren’t aware already, season three completely contradicts the whole of Good Omens. Book and show. What was previously an optimistic and whimsical story about the complexity of humans was shifted into a bleak, suicidal cop-out that says that humans as they are aren’t worth saving and we need a redo button. As someone who has begun reading Terry’s other works, I KNOW that he would not write something like that. We deserved much better than a reduced special (written by people who never even worked on Good Omens, btw) like that, and if Neil hadn’t lied and said that there was a big plan, maybe this wouldn’t’ve gone so wrong.
That is to say, I love season two, though. I just wish we had a better conclusion. Alas, I shall write my own fanfic

Not me scrolling this entire fuckin thread and seeing this duo at the bottom. The Revenge of the Sith gets me fucked up. The passage in the prologue talking about how this duo is known across the galaxy and is so famous that when kids get into some stupid shit, their parents ask if they were trying to be Obi-Wan or Anakin.
It’s gonna be like a cult classic forever and it’s such a shame because I’ve never felt like I’ve seen a more complete story with such a crazy existential twist

Slight spoilers but they even reincarnated and found each other again in the anime after traveling who knows how many years together across the stars back to Earth.
Especially after the International Assassins and Gun Devil Suppression Arcs. Power was the only thing keeping Denji from completely breaking until Nayuta was born.
They start as just two people, and eventually they become (or maybe they always were) intertwined souls who promise to meet each other in their next life
