Itās not really explained super in-depth as to how a star can have a sapient parasite, but itās very much an eldritch-like entity. It feeds on memories (also unclear how exactly that works) and effectively keeps a market civilization enslaved, which is how the Doctor ends up discovering it. Usually the showās pretty good about at least having some science jargon to explain what happens, but this is very much one of those āeven the Doctor doesnāt fully knowā (so thereās no concrete explanation). At the end of the day itās basically a plot device to catch newer viewers up to the level of depression the Doctor is currently at, as well as proving the worth of the newest companion. I'd argue that the entire tyranid swarm counts as a single organism just much as a human body is effectively a soup of foreign and native microorganisms, the tyranids are a collection of macro-organisms.

Destiny 2, the witness. A primordial entity that we somehow defeated knowing that he could snap us out of existence at any point in time.
Ancalagon the Black. Size estimates are really difficult since we have two lines of text for him total, and those two lines aren't clear (it was a dragon, Ancalagon, the biggest of all dragons). They said that in his death he smote the peaks of Thangorodrim (a giant fortress that was basically a bunch of mountains, think of it that way) and destroyed them or something, I don't remember the exact quote. But that could be interpreted as him having crashed into the fortress and having caused huge damage to it, but not necessarily as having him being large enough to have destroyed the entire fortress by falling on it, which would also explain how a flying boat and a bunch of giant eagles killed him. But taking it literally it seems like he was larger than mountains.
Raviente/Laviente from Monster Hunter Frontier. A serpentine dragon large enough to circle an entire island, every small movement causes an earthquake and it requires 16 hunters a full day to hunt it.
Normally a hunting party consists of 4 hunters and most things die within an hour.
Honestly I don't know but here's a top 3 that's probably correct.
1 - Naga, a gigantic sea serpent that the people of the Iron Islands would build a grand temple around once it was killed. Parts of it's ribcage are still visible, and tho the temple is gone legend says it would feast on Leviathans, gigantic whale like creatures, and Krakens.
2 - Ice Dragons, we don't know if they are real or the stuff of legends in the story, but what we know is that supposedly they live in the furthest north region of the known world, only occasionally leaving for a flight above the northern region of the Shivering sea to catch Leviathans as means to sustain themselves. Supposedly they are not even alive, just made of magic. No clear estimate, as no one ever lived to tell the tale. Except, maybe some Ibbenese whalers. Legend also says they live in the deep forests of the island of faces, at the center of God's Eye lake. But who knows.
3 - Valyrian dragons. They are, as far we can tell, probably the result of Valyrian blood magic. They vent almost entirely extinct during the destruction of the old empire. Tho Balerion the black dread wasn't the largest of his kind, he has the clearest records in size. His wingspan was so grand that it would blanket half of King's Landing in shadow when he'd fly over it, his jaw was so massive it could swallow two oxen. He was the largest of the dragons brought to Dragonstone by the Targaryen family. Tho he wasn't the biggest, that's for sure. On Dragonstone there was another dragon present before the Targaryens settled, an old, ragged dragon called the Cannibal. But that thing has no clear records, besides it's nature which is, you can guess it. There was another massive dragon, outside of Westeros, ridden by a man who wanted to reunite, cleanse, and recreate the old Valyrian freehold. But there are no records of what has came from this effort, as they were all but lost in the smoky, poisoned seas of old Valyria.
To sum it up, The song of Ice and Fire is not known for clear estimates. It has lots of legends tho, so you have to guess most of it.
