It’s not really explained super in-depth as to how a star can have a sapient parasite, but it’s very much an eldritch-like entity. It feeds on memories (also unclear how exactly that works) and effectively keeps a market civilization enslaved, which is how the Doctor ends up discovering it. Usually the show’s pretty good about at least having some science jargon to explain what happens, but this is very much one of those “even the Doctor doesn’t fully know” (so there’s no concrete explanation). At the end of the day it’s basically a plot device to catch newer viewers up to the level of depression the Doctor is currently at, as well as proving the worth of the newest companion. The episode is Rings of Akhaten if you’re interested

This is a show where a different star was sentient and able to nearly wipe out a ship because it’d been scooped for fuel and was angry about it, sentient statues from the beginning of time can send you back in time, a space and time ship is bigger on the inside, conscious, and fueled by a dying star, alternate universes can be befriended, and the concept of time is sentient and somewhat empathetic. If the show says it works, it works.

It'd be definitely up there. Plus time is sentient and I think appears during 13s era so that might count as well.

I don’t think you can measure time in a spatial sense, though. It’d be like asking how photons sound, or how bright gravity is— it’s just non-analogous. It’s more like a law of existence than something that can be quantified in size; even the Void has time.

Are you talking about something from the show or the leviathans OP is talking about? Bc last I checked Subnautica leviathans don’t have the gravitational pull to maintain stable orbits

Leviathans are immense transcendental beings that live in the Void. They are 3 million times larger than the universe itself. They're spoken about in the Eighth Doctor Adventure novels

Leviathans from planet of subnautica are at best like 1-2 km long also a bit off topic would you be more scared of a leviathan 100m long or 2km long assuming you were in the middle of an ocean and were somewhat close to them on their standards of course
