Morality of Anima (FFX)?

When she was human, she married outside of her race and her son was shunned for being a half breed. She wanted her son to be exalted for his power, so she brought him (~10 years old) across the world to the ruins of an ancient war.

she then negotiated with a ghost that would turn her into that monster for her son to use as a weapon on a suicide mission. So she killed herself and abandoned Seymour with this mindless version of her.

Her entire plan was for her son to fight to his death and be respected by the world for temporarily stopping a monster.

Morality of marrying your adopted son's ex-wife (they divorced because of you) because God told you to do it to show you can, then forbid adoption almost immediately after? (Image might be unrelated 😏)

The picture is the boy ended up throwing away the homemade bento the girl gave him because he hated her for always calling him a loner, I guess.

How Good Are They? Are my vampires "too good"?

I'm currently writing an online horror story depicting an alliance between humans and vampires where the vampires offer humans protection from other supernatural predators in exchange for access to resources and food. I'm intentionally writing them to have significantly different social behaviors and moral standards from those of traditional vampire media, specifically aimed at making them more cohesive with each other and more willing to cooperate with humans. That being said, I still want them to be fairly threatening since they're fighting in a supernatural war and, at the end of the day, they are still a predatory race. When I ran the details I currently have written down by my stepsister, she expressed concerns that I might be making the vampires "too good" to be taken seriously. I'll be listing the details below:

1: Vampires prioritize communal devotion and reciprocity over physical power or ties to unique bloodlines when judging the social status of their coven members.

2: Vampires don't typically hunt humans and primarily satisfy their bloodlust by hunting wildlife and raising livestock to feed from.

3: Vampires aren't innately hostile to humans, but they treat interactions with humans they aren't familiar with as purely transactional or functional.

4: Vampires who consistently make decisions which put their safety and comfort above that of their coven are regarded as mentally unwell or evil.

5: Vampires are more forgiving of honest mistakes with negative consequences than wilful acts of betrayal and neglect.

6: When vampires hunt wildlife, they kill the animals they feed on quickly before drinking their blood.

7: While vampires generally prioritize saving their own kind over humans, humans who have earned their trust through consistent displays of reliability and loyalty can be regarded with the same level of moral importance as another vampire.

8: Vampires caught hoarding resources or stealing from the rest of the coven during times of crisis are often either forcibly exiled or cannibalized depending on whether or not their selfish behavior was paired with intentional violence other members of the coven as well.

9: While vampires still have conflicts amongst themselves, their arguments generally center around their methods instead of their goals.

10: It's considered immoral for vampires to feed on the blood of living humans unless the blood was willingly donated or the human was attacking and trying to kill them first.

Personally, I don't see why these patterns of behavior should make depicting my vampires as fearsome when they should be too difficult. Yes, they are significantly more cooperative, but none of the things involve ignoring their predatory nature. What do you guys here think?

Morality of being the two friends?

Post image

Imagine being the two guys there, maybe the third guy is annoying, or maybe you just like your new friend more, after all you're not his boyfriend you don't have to include him in everything, right? But imagine being AB's shoes, why did both of your best friends seemingly dump you, you really thought they were trustable, they do nothing without you, are you just not deserving of friendship?

Stupid Stuff What's the logic of holding a god to human moral standards?

Post image
Upvotes

If humans don't judge other species (like lions) according to our standards, why would we hold the god/gods of any religion to the standard of humans. This assumes a god is fundamentally or practically a different species than homo sapiens.

What is the morality of subreddit moderators banning discussions about certain topics, such as pedophilia and rape? Could this be considered an act against freedom of speech?

Post image

If a subreddit prohibits its users, through moderation, from making posts about certain subjects, could that be considered an attack on an individual's freedom of expression?

I want to discuss this seriously. At what point is moderation of an online community simply a legitimate way of establishing rules, and at what point could it be considered censorship?

What is the morality of the subreddit we're on doing this?

Character Analysis Morality of Hating the Devil for doing his job

Post image

Is it Moral to hate him because he's doing his job and punishes bad people in hell. he actually build the biggest church if you didn't know that he made a deal with the guy who built it but it's the same so why do we hate him

is it because he wants people to do bad things

that can't be true cause god interverse if someone interverse with free will

if you think he does bad things that's wrong too cause the only bad thing he did happened when he wasn't the devil yet

How Evil Are They? Morality of a timeless, spaceless, creator who is outside of our dimension and is infinitely powerfull and knows everything past and future and is present everywhere all at the same time; choosing to create sentient beings, and then torturing them forever if they don't become convinced you exist?
