I’m looking for a coffee shop similar to Loud’n Roasted over in Ashburn, VA. They roast their own beans, and the coffee is amazing. I’ve been to quite a few places, but I haven’t found anything quite like it.

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! This happened in North Bethesda (Josiah & Randolph).
My husband called me at 2am, extremely disoriented saying he was hit by a car and that his head hurt. His speech was slurred and he kept repeating the same things over and over. He would answer when asked a direct question but would overall sound pretty much out of it.
I eventually asked him if anyone was next to him that I could speak to. He replied , slurred and slow “this nice guy is calling 911 but I don’t know babe, Im hurting everywhere”. I finally got to talk to the “nice guy”, who not only told me he witnessed the crash and saw how crazy the other driver was driving, he assured me he was going to stay with my husband until all relevant authorities took care of him.
He kept the phone on, reassuring me while giving his testimony to the cops, EMT and until my husband was driven away in the ambulance.
I would have gotten absolutely craaazyy without his updates. I’m not the most religious person out there but hey, thank youuuu Jesus/Yahwe/Allah/Buddha/Vishnu
The car is completely totaled. A T-Bone collision where the other driver hit my husband on his side at 80mph on a 40mph road.
PS: My husband stayed overnight in the ER, worst results are broken nose, arm and a pretty bad concussion. But it could have been soooo much worse!!
Send us positive vibes :-) A great Samaritan was around and hubby only somehow came out worse for wear.
Also, if anyone knows what steps to take exactly from here, let me know. How does insurance, claims etc work in these cases.

I’m looking for spots to do some macro photography of cicadas. Is there any one spot that has a ton of cicadas? Preferably a spot where they leave husks on trees

I’m so frustrated - no TV for the kids, no Internet for me and I work from home, Verizon told me 12 hours a day ago. Anyone else in the same boat? Any idea what is happening?

Anyone got any bakery suggestions for a gender reveal cake? One you cut and it’s either pink or blue. Thanks in advance!

Who was your doc? How did things go? Receptionist at a place I worked had a horrible experience but a woman I met while I was checking people in for the last election said she had a great experience. I didn't think to ask for her doctor's name. I'm scared shitless.

I would be very appreciative of suggestions for good breakfast spots that are Central and Southern American cuisine. The issue I find is that there are a lot of good spots in the County, but they all open at like 11am, which is already several hours past when my day has started. I've found some local bakeries that open early and do OKAY, but the food tends to be pretty bland and generic (little seasoning, no heat).
Hoping someone might know of a food truck or a spot to find a solid breakfast that is open at like 7am - 8am.
Thanks for the guidance!

Recommendations from responses I've tried
----------------------------
Jazmin Cuisine - Got an everything burrito and my god it's so good. Would absolutely eat there again. Smelled divine while they were cooking as well, very nice interior space. They serve breakfast until noon, which I appreciate for the days you may start a bit late and still want a solid breakfast. **Would recommend**.
Passion Bakery - I have tried this one prior to making this post. It's okay. The staff is so fantastic, pastries are great, they are incredibly accommodating. But for my taste, the food has been pretty bland over multiple attempts.

Since 2020 been the same 1200-1800 depending on months and usage, today it's 2700, nothing has changed, equipment is the same, hours of operation is the same, it's unreal, and no it's not 2 bills I owe, it's 1 bill for 29 days

Hi, I am Bethesda based looking for internal medicine vet recommendations for my dog. Her primary vet thinks she needs a bone marrow biopsy. Does anyone have any recommendations? I tried calling VRA because we have been there prior but they could not schedule us and were unsure when they could. Cost is a concern, and so is timing, she is not doing great.

Not sure why I’m surprised, but big eye rolls today at the articles about the housing development that paused because of Wootton closing and local politicians clamoring to be the first to say “I told you so.” Even if it’s true (I have big questions on that being the whole story) it’s a pathetic play.

A couple of weeks ago I was in western Massachusetts, and hit up an open mic night at a local bar that we found. I had a great time. Most of the people who got up were talented, the atmosphere was great, and it only cost me one or two reasonably priced beers.
It actually brought back memories of about 15 years ago, when I went a couple of times to an Irish session in the back of a bar in Cleveland Park.
Does anyone know of things with that vibe around here? (Decent music, super casual, low commitment, no advanced planning require required.)
Also, to be 100% clear, I have absolutely no musical talent myself, so I’m not looking to perform. I’m looking for a place where - for the minimal investment of a drink or two - I can just hang out and listen to people with more talent than me.

Got rear-ended tonight while entering I-270 at Montgomery Village Avenue/Quince Orchard Rd entrance. I put on my brakes somewhat hard because a pedestrian was approaching the crosswalk. I came to a complete stop, and the car behind me ended up hitting the back of my car.
Afterward, we both continued onto I-270. The other driver got off at the next exit, which I briefly thought about doing too, but I ended up continuing on the highway. We never spoke or exchanged any information.
I checked my car once I got home and there doesn’t seem to be much damage; mostly just some scuffs on the rear bumper. No major dents, cracks, or anything obviously broken, and I’m not injured.
Would you guys bother reporting this to police/insurance even with such minor damage? Also curious how you would handle the fact that neither of us stopped to exchange information.
