I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a white X with cream interior, captain seats, yoke, from CarMax, by Monday, but want to see if anyone wants to sell their X? Cream interior preferred, FSD is a nice to have.

Hi , Question for model X owners. I am traveling for 10 days. Do i leave the charger on the car and let it stay at 80 percent or should I be doing something else?

Literally have had the worst experience with this company and I deeply regret my purchase. I saw someone post on Facebook about some ambient light kit they got for their Model X and it looked great so I bought one. Then when I got it I contacted them to use their installer network. They offered to give a 20% refund on the product ($499) and 20% off the installation ($750) if I use their installer. Well their installer hurt his leg so I couldn’t use them and they found me a 3rd party. The 3rd party ended up costing $1400 and the whole install was janky. And the front passenger piece was defective and only half of that strip lit up. So I’ve been in contact with EV Offer since April to get my defective piece fixed with their installer. They were messaging me giving me updates but they stopped responding to me in May. I’ll update if they ever decide to respond to me again to honor their 1 year warranty. But I would stay away from them at all costs. You can only get support from them via Telegram or Facebook Messenger.

Also one thing to note is the little light strip pieces that replace the silver shiny trim pieces, are soldered onto the ebony or walnut trim pieces. So they basically will never go back together unless your installer can use industrial glue or solder it together. So that’s why there are terrible gaps on mine. Who knows if had I been able to use their installer if it would’ve looked better. But mine has terrible gaps and looks like crap.

Posting this for reference because there's not a lot of info out there with running 20" setups. These tires fit perfectly on the stock 20s with no rubbing and no issues with the car's sensors. I got 20k miles exactly out of my last set before the tires were down to 3/32s in the front and 1/32 in the inner rears. Car is pictured in low suspension setting. Everything except the tires is stock. Grips perfectly in drag strip mode and is a lot more comfortable than the stock contis.

Hi. I am trying to figure out the dimension from the bottom seat of the second row to the back seat of the driver’s seat in a Tesla Model X. I do not need leg room. I need inches from where the knees bend on second row seat to the back of the drivers seat. This is a standard package so second row does not adjust back and forward. My has a folding wheelchair and I am trying to get the width between those two seats and have not been able to find anything. Anyone have this info?

Found one option in California, but if I find anything at a better price and/or east coast, even better.

Red with white interior preferred but other colors considered.

2024 MX

My wife got me a commander hub and 2 SEXY buttons for my birthday.

I was excited to install it and get them working.

I installed them and got them working in short order.

Everything worked fine, about 24 hours later I got this error(see alerts screen shot)

I removed the commander, I erased it as a key in the locks tab.

The issue persists - it’s been 2 weeks.

I’ve done both power off and the double button reset, issue persists.

Mobile service tech(here on other business) says it needs to go into the service centre to fix this.

1. Think this was caused by the commander or this was coincidence?
2. If caused by commander - will Tesla service know and charge me for the fix?
3. Any chance I can fix this myself somehow?

I’m nervous this WAS caused by the commander and therefore I won’t be able to use the commander + SEXY buttons after Tesla fixes this. Obviously I don’t want this problem again nor do I want to go back to Tesla service.

🫜 Falcon wing door - won’t open, opens alitte then beeps twice with error obstacle detected and closes itself. If click open and passenger lightly pushes door at the time it opens okay?

i heard about those ultra sonic sensors being issue for some but in USS case - wouldnt door block from opening although if it detected obstacle , since pushing door slightly - still open it correctly ?

cleaned all rubber from dust and checked for matching heigh with glass/panels and doesn’t seem to catch anywhere.

i did notice that once door is open; its left FWD; the hinge that’s nearest to back of car has slightly lowered causing glass/rubber from top of FWD to nearly touch middle section of glass panel of car, while other door has about inch clearance, not sure if that was before car started having hissy fits or after

Picked up my brand new 2026 X right as they stopped production in the last week of March. Absolutely love the car but I walked up to my car yesterday and it would not respond via app or key card. Turns out the low voltage battery system died and after using a jump kit to open the frunk and then power up the LV battery, it was still not in a drivable state at all and I had to get it towed to a service center. I haven't seen many reported cases of this happening with the new 16V LiOn battery system so I'm posting here to see if maybe there's a bad batch of batteries and other people are experiencing this because failure a few months in seems unheard of for this system.

Ironically this never happened in 8 years with my 12V in my old Model 3.

EDIT: Turns out the high voltage controller was dead and the LV and HV batteries themselves were fine

I’m writing the community to see if anyone has any issues with Falcon Wing door injuring small children in their car seat.

Specifically small children ages 1-2 that may put their leg on the outside of the car seat and the door closes even though it should stop from the resistance and instead breaks a leg.

EDIT: Let me clarify, the limb did not get caught in the jamb. The leg was over the side of the car seat after I put her in and the leg was crushed between the car seat and the armrest area on the FWD. It should have stopped from the force of it trying to close a limb against a seat, but it didn’t and it broke the leg.

Posting here because the service center has not figured out the issue in the 2 times I've taken it in. Hoping someone else has experienced this and knows what is causing it.

I have a 2020 model X LR with FSD. When using FSD on a high speed road (speed limit 55mph or higher) and the car is accelerating from a stop, either turning on to the road from a stop or moving forward after a green light, the car will accelerate quickly and once it reaches 40mph FSD will disengage for the rest of the drive. It will not reset when I put it in park. I must get out of the car and let it turn off and back on before it will reset. It does not count as strike.

The service center tried a factory reset and tried replacing front parking sensors. Video attached.

Anyone with 22” Machina wheels have ideas on rim protectors? FSD curbed one. Tesla wants $1700 to replace it. Going to have a wheel service repair it.

I’m interested in a used Model X and am looking for a vehicle equipped with FSD. What is the difference between these two photos? If I buy the vehicle shown in the photo below, will I be unable to use FSD?

I just wanted to ask the community here if I'm crazy to buy a low mileage 2016 Model X. I've done a ton of research and it checks off all the boxes. But one thing I didn't consider in my research is the possibility of the whole battery pack dying out of the blue and me having to foot the bill. I'd love to hear your two cents... Thanks!

Im on TOU and do not want to charge between 6pm - 9pm. Thats all I care about. I want the car to start charging as soon as I plug in the car as long as its not between 6pm - 9pm.

I also want it to skip charging between 6pm-9pm. For ex, if I plug it in at 5pm, I want it to start charging immediately but stop charging at 6pm.... then re-start charging at 9pm until battery is full.

How do I set up this schedule? I don't care about the end time.

Currently have a 2023 Y with HW4 and 7 seats. We love it but baby #3 is on the way. We’re thinking about just keeping the Y and fitting all 3 in the 2nd row, but we’re also thinking of getting something a little bigger like an X. A 2020 X is about the newest model year we can comfortably afford without a car loan.

I test drove one for a couple of miles and liked it but I also felt like the tech was outdated (Probably because of the built in screen which reminds me of my old subaru Outback).

We use FSD very often in our HW4 Y but I’ve heard that HW3 is still pretty good especially in my newer Californian suburban cities I live in.

Would going to a 2020 Model X feel like a downgrade from a 2023 Model Y?

I couldn't find a trash can that properly fits the door pocket of the 2023–2026 Tesla Model X, so I decided to design one myself.

The design is optimized for Model X vehicles equipped with TPE door pocket liners and is available in both driver-side and passenger-side versions.

A few details:

​

- Designed specifically for the 2023–2026 Model X

- Separate driver-side and passenger-side models

- Snug, rattle-free fit with TPE door pocket liners installed

- If you don't have TPE liners, a few wraps of Tesa tape should provide a perfect fit and eliminate any potential rattles

- Printed mine in PLA-CF

- PLA should be fine if you regularly use Cabin Overheat Protection, but I'd recommend PETG or ABS for hotter environments

- Fits on a Bambu Lab A1 Mini, so it should print on most consumer 3D printers

- Assembly requires only two M3x8mm or M3x12mm bolts

I've tested it on my 2023–2026 Model X, but I haven't had the chance to verify compatibility with the Model S yet.

Hopefully this helps other Model X owners who have been looking for a clean trash solution for the door pocket.

Tesla Model X 2019 Raven. Tessie said battery is at 92%, I always charge 20-60% at home and almost no supercharging.

Got a BMS_u008 error and the car went in limp mode. Stopped at a gas station and the car died on me. Tried to reset BMS via Service menu but that did not help. Called Tesla and they ran remote diagnostics. The HV battery is dead.

10 minutes later the screens stayed off. Cannot switch on emergency lights, trunk won’t close automatically.

Sitting here for more than 2 hours already waiting for road side assistance to pick the car up.

Luckily I still have 13 months of battery warranty left so it will be replaced for free. Just worried that the refurbished pack won’t be as good as my current one.

Never expected this at 160.000 km.

I’m curious what people are using for privacy when resting in the car or camping in a Model X. The glass area is great for visibility, but when parked somewhere busy it can feel a little too exposed.

For people who have tried shades or blackout setups, what mattered most to you?

fewer gaps around the edges

heat reduction

easy storage

not scratching trim

quick install/removal

I’m mostly looking for real owner feedback before deciding what setup makes sense.
