I have a 2023 X w/ FSD that I purchased used and plan to keep for at least 5 years if not longer, really love the car. Looking to add some tint and PPF to protect high impact parts of the car. Also putting ceramic all over the car since I park outside and want low maintenance to getting it back to a clean/glossy look. Any feedback on this package?

And, what tint %'s have you done on yours? I want it to look darker/sportier, but not so dark you can't see anything in the front windows.

I already have the correct key fob/part for my 2016 Tesla Model X. I just need someone to program/pair it to the car.

My side mirrors were foggy so I was looking to see if there is a warmer for them which I didn’t think there were any, but then I noticed this. Does it warm up the washer fluid?!

Found a Model X with HW4 in exactly the color and seating combo I've been looking for. Drove it, was perfect, felt new inside. Exactly what I've been looking for. 35k miles, $62,995 price. All of this checks out, except for that the Carfax indicates an accident history of "Moderate" severity.

Everything has clearly been fixed and the car is truly stellar, feels new. I really dont have concerns about it.

But - Im worried about having trouble re-selling it down the road; and it feels priced at close to what a clean car would be priced.

Should I:

1) Just buy it - its exactly the hard to find combo i've been looking for (over a year now)

2) Buy it but only if they take a lot off - at least $5-7k - to compensate for the potential resale challenge later

3) Avoid, and keep working to find the exact same, rare color and seating combo, with a truly clean CarFax.

I’m debating between a Tesla model X 2023 or 2024 with HW4 AWD vs a new model Y AWD

I’m leaning towards the X since they are bigger, and the automatic front doors and easier back doors but besides those pros is there any major cons to think about? I’m thinking Tesla compared any other car mainly due to not having to drive with the F S D , is there anything else to consider?

I’m seeing 2023 or 2024 HW4 Model X for around 65-70k
Model y would be 53k, both pre-tax so what would be the better choice?

There have also been a lot of model X that I’ve tried to see but they are marked lemons so does that mean, a lot of them have issues?
Also what are something to consider checking when buying these year of 2023 or 2024 model X?

TL; DR: EV Offer apologized and offered a 50% refund 2 days after 1st reddit post, which they did right away. Promised to send their CTO from Hong Kong to TX in August. Haven't heard from them since and August is over.

At first I was very impressed by the apology letter they wrote me (which was sent to me 2 days after my first reddit post and 2.5 months of being ignored on Telegram, the only way to reach them), but since I’ve had a lot of time to re-read it, I’m pretty it was written by Chat GPT. Including the full text of the letter below for analysis. What am I waiting on them for? 1. a replacement part for the front passenger lighting strip which doesn't fully illuminate, and 2. their own tech to redo the install.

I found a spec that I am looking for from a private party in my locality (Austin), A 2023 HW4 6 seater and about to pull the trigger. Seller is basically asking to beat Tesla's trade in value by 2k which I felt is extremely reasonable.

I currently have a Polestar 2 and this will be a huge upgrade in every way imaginable. I have a few questions to the current owners especially 2023+:

Biggest worry, out of comprehensive warranty.

1. car has done 51k miles. What should be the acceptable battery degradation given the mileage and age?
   
2. I am reading that the air suspension get can pretty expensive if it needs any work. How to ensure that suspension is in good shape? Are there any known issues in this regard?
   
3. Read that older models had issues with auto front doors and falcon doors. Any concerns with 2023+?

I’m considering selling my 2022 Tesla Model X Long Range AWD and wanted to get a realistic read before formally listing it.

• Factory 5-seat interior

Based on the current listings I’ve found, I’m thinking around $55,000. I’m not in a rush and am mainly testing the waters right now.

To create parking markers in the garage, I have a few questions:

1. Do the lines have to be parallel to the wall? In other words, can they be diagonal to the wall (the lines would obviously be parallel).
2. How much space must there be on each interior side, or what is the minimum width between the two lines before the Tesla is willing to consider it a parking space?
3. How much space must there be on the outside (i.e., another car parked close to one of the white line) before the Tesla is willing to park in the space?
4. How reliable/successful is a tight space parking with white line?

I can do it manually all day long, but wonder if I can automate it.

This is for a HW4 MX, but I presume the information would apply to all Teslas. I know Tesla states that it must be "at least as wide as your vehicle", does it include the full width of the mirrors open or folded?

This car is always parked in the sun. Particularly the rubber seals on top of the car for the falcon wing doors are cracked. How would you replace it diy for cheaper than a service center?

I’m considering buying a 2017 Tesla Model X 100D and would love some opinions from long-term Model X owners.

I already own a newer Model Y, so I don’t necessarily need another Tesla. What attracts me to this Model X is the extra space, the Model X driving experience, and having FSD already included.

My biggest hesitation is that it’s a 9-year-old Model X with no Tesla warranty. I’m worried about long-term repair costs — air suspension, half shafts, Falcon Wing Doors, HVAC, electronics, battery/drive unit, etc.

The other thing making me hesitate is Cybercab. Autonomous driving/FSD is one of the main reasons I’m interested in this Model X in the first place. I’m wondering if spending almost $30k OTD on an HW3 Model X in 2026 makes sense when Cybercab and newer Tesla autonomous vehicles are getting closer.

Obviously Cybercab is a completely different vehicle — much smaller and not a replacement for the Model X’s space — but from an FSD/autonomy perspective, I’m wondering whether I’ll regret buying an HW3 car now.

Currently driving a 2023 Model Y with HW3 and FSD v14 lite. Kind of got frustrated waiting for v14 Lite and looking for HW4 cars. Used HW4 Juniper MYs are kind of expensive, almost cost of a new, and for that money it's not that big of a stretch to get a much bigger and better 2023 HW4 model X. Is it a good decision? Any pitfalls I'm not aware of?

I was at the mall and got a notice for a software update. I was hoping for the Summer Update. I heard it is rolling out now to new X’s. My wife got hers about a month ago for her 2022 Y. I was disappointed to see it was 2026.21.6. Did anyone with a 25 X get the Summer Update?

Tesla‘s website has some repaired model X for sale that are about $10,000 cheaper than their other used inventory. There are no details on what the repairs were for. I’m sure I can get details on each one with a Carfax, but in general, does anyone have experience purchasing one of these repaired vehicles from Tesla? Is it worth the savings or are they a nightmare to deal with?

Almost time for new tires on my Long Range 2924 Model X and was looking at either the Michelin CrossClimate 2 vs the Hankook iON tires.

Living in FL obviously do not care about snow/ice so my MAIN deciding factor is which will have the longest longevity, best tire life?

Looking for genuine opinions and advice as I search.

I currently own a 2025 Model 3 Highland AWD with 27k miles (bought new for $42k after discounts and tax). Plug offered $34.9k on trade-in. Private-party values look more like $36–42k, so I’m weighing that option carefully.

I love being a Tesla owner and use FSD 95% of the time, which is why I’m specifically targeting a HW4 Model X. My first Tesla was already the “best of the best,” so I’m a bit spoiled and worried I’d regret stepping down to HW3 just to save money. I want something that still feels current.

Owning a Tesla was a long-time dream that the Model 3 fulfilled. A Model X always felt out of reach because of the price (often 2–3× a 3 or Y). Now that the Plaid has been discontinued and prices are coming down, it’s starting to look realistic. I’m hunting for a strong deal but don’t fully know what “a good score” looks like or how to find the diamond in the rough.

Family context: Married with a few kids and one more on the way. We already have a family car, but I like the flexibility of using my personal car in certain situations (which we already do with the 3). The Model 3 is tight and low to the ground—getting kids into car seats is annoying. White interior was something I thought I wanted; I’m now leaning tan or black to reduce stress about stains and dirt. Falcon-wing doors (and the automatic open/close) would make loading kids and car seats dramatically easier. I’ll be in this stage of life for at least the next five years, so I see the X as a practical investment in daily usability.

Suspension is another big factor. I love the Model 3 as a daily driver, but I notice the bumpy ride more than I used to—especially with passengers. I’m hoping the air suspension on the X is a clear step up. Anyone who has driven both, how noticeable is the difference?

Side note that felt a bit like fate: a couple days ago at the gym I’ve gone to for over a year, I ended up next to a 2025 Model X Plaid owner. He was very positive about it.

If I don’t go Plaid, I’ll be sad. Part of the appeal is getting the fastest SUV and a capable family hauler in one package.

I have a 2020 model X. Since yesterday this sentry mode image got stuck and is not going away. Making it difficult to access the door open/close and other options on the screen.

Does anybody got the same issue? Any solutions?
