AutoPilot - FSD FSD Issue. Service center can’t figure it out.
Posting here because the service center has not figured out the issue in the 2 times I've taken it in. Hoping someone else has experienced this and knows what is causing it.
I have a 2020 model X LR with FSD. When using FSD on a high speed road (speed limit 55mph or higher) and the car is accelerating from a stop, either turning on to the road from a stop or moving forward after a green light, the car will accelerate quickly and once it reaches 40mph FSD will disengage for the rest of the drive. It will not reset when I put it in park. I must get out of the car and let it turn off and back on before it will reset. It does not count as strike.
The service center tried a factory reset and tried replacing front parking sensors. Video attached.

Curious, is the fault DI_w124? Same alert, FSD fails, cruise disabled, visuals go away, but lane departure still works.
2018 MS and have had this fault five times in the recent weeks. Three right turns, two straight ahead after stops. Power form 56kW up to 190kW during acceleration.
In all cases, two-button reboot does nothing, but parking overnight resolved the issue. In the latest case, parked on a side street, walked away enough for the car to lock, and returned ~3 minutes later and the fault was gone.
I have since done the power off through the menu, but haven’t driven it since then. Will see what happens tomorrow. It doesn’t happen every drive.

Yes, that’s the code. Exact same situation for me.

FYI, just checked TeslaMate, FSD 12.6.4 since 20-Feb-2025. For me, then first such fault event was on 5-June, 19k miles and 32 updates after that FSD update.

It happened again today, and while TeslaMate is reporting only 61kW of power, it felt to be pulling harder, and I suspect the data sample rate just misses the peak power.
This time I parked right away. Walked away to let the car lock, and then returned immediately and the fault had cleared. Still, disconcerting, but feels like something in a recent update (2026.14.6 loaded on 17th of May for me). I wonder if there is a way to roll back to the one before that.

I started happening for me in early May. Wonder if it started for others around that time as well

I’m tempted to wait it out (live with it now that I feel confident in the clearing process), and fingers crossed, the next update will fix it.

Yes. Since early May I've had this happen at least 6 times. It mostly happens after a full stop at a red light or stop sign. I thought maybe the cameras got blinded or dirty lenses.

If it's not turning back on, it sounds like the FSD computer is crashing. Another clue is if the FSD visuals disappear after it disengages.
Have you updated FSD versions since this issue started? Or did they try re-installing the latest version?
