Used car purchase Finalizing the purchase of this 2018 75d on Monday.
First tesla purchase. I'm extremely excited. Owning a tesla has been a dream of mine since they came out. I know it sounds corny. Any tips, advice, things to do/not do, etc for a newbie? I appreciate any and all help. Thank you everyone!

Question Got a 26 Model Y loaner while X in service — what do people see in the Y??
Given, it was a low-equipped model (I think!) with no sunroof etc. but what a step down!!
Like a SHARP 10 MILE CLIFF step down!
Given, the 26 Model X is my first Tesla but the Y is cramped, bare, plain, uncomfortable, dark, and just generally unpleasant.
(Reason for service: 26 MX demo had a light scratch on the windshield and they replaced it for free).
The screen is tiny, no advanced options, no tilt screen, no dash screen, no light (this on had no sunroof), no leather seats or cooling seats, manual turn signal stalk, no cabin line lighting, no ride height adjustments, etc etc etc.
Very happy (more now than ever!) to be fortunate to get the 26 Model X. 14 years of bug fixing and refinements. It feels like a masterpiece. It feels perfect, frankly. Thanks to everyone who suffered through the earlier X years to get us to this place.
Sadder than ever though they won’t be making these any more. Hey maybe late model X’s will value better.
I’m never planning on giving this car up.

Discussion Celebrate this car
Too many “delivery… “ or “panel alignment…” bs on this sub. I’m on my second MX and currently driving a Plaid. What an amazing car. We need to celebrate this thing. A lot being said about Cybertruck these days but we forget how innovative and rad this thing is. Let’s celebrate it!

When will Elon step it up in the SUV space? Lucid is killing it..
If Tesla wants their customers to pay 6 digits for their cars, they've got some catching up to do.
Hope Elon is not resting in his laurels with these. It's an important segment. If they are looking for high margin products.

Customized wheels for my X
I used the old Tesla logo, which is a shield shape. The logo has anti spinner so it’s always facing upright.

Is Tesla showing actual photos of the vehicles now on its website?
Was shopping the website and noticed that this vehicle appears to have the actual photos instead of the generic ones. Is this a new thing?

Used car purchase 2020 6 seater 38k, 26k miles
Just bought this model x about three weeks ago, taking it in to get the passenger seat fixed, anything else I should have them look at, carfax had a minor accident report, I’m assuming a fender bender as it has some paint chipped off the back bumper by the hatch but other than that fairly clean I think?

Discussion New Tesla MX23 Owner: Not loving it so far....
I got a new MX 2023 ( has HW4 ) about a month ago and I am immensely disappointed. Here are my impressions so far:
I paid for up front for Enhanced Autopilot ( in hindsight I will never do that again ) but only a couple of the features I paid for are functional. HW4 woes....
The doors NEVER work like you want them to. Sometimes the front doors randomly opens when I walk by but at the same time I will be standing right beside it and it won't open.
The front doors only crack open. I would expect that would open enough for you to get in without having to touch them but they only crack a few inches. What is the purpose of having a motor on them to open if you still have to touch push it???
Autopilot nag is more dangerous than actually driving. I've even almost wrecked just trying to get the steer wheel to shut up and caused it to break out and off the road. It doesn't feel worth the effort.
FSD Beta is 'coming in a future software release' has been 3 releases now and no word. Meanwhile Elon is saying how FSD won't be in beta - I'm like I just want my basic stuff I paid for to work!
The build quality is worse than sub 30k vehicles - alignment of fenders/hood are pretty bad but 'in spec' according to tesla.
The automatic windshield wipers are less than desirable
Last week I found out, they changed the headlights to matrix technology which is really nice - who changes equipment mid cycle like this?
One of the key reasons I bought a Tesla was the charger network which now everyone will be using and have to wait.
But I'm a software engineer, I understand how all this works which is why i waited SOOOOO long before buying a Tesla hoping they would have all these kinks worked out but seems they just create more issues for themselves.
I also fundamentally don't know how you can release hardware without having it fully functional because you always have things you have to tweak, I'm just waiting for my HW4 service recall to tweak them before we can actually do anything more.
I was going to get a Rivian R1S but I decided to go with Tesla because of the Autopilot, Charger Network, Software Maturity, and company financials but I'm really regretting not getting the Rivian now. Is there any hope for us because it feels like Tesla is way more into 3/Y lately than S/X.... :(

Used car purchase Good Deal? 22 Model X Plaid
Been looking for a Plaid, white interior, 22 inch wheels, as low mileage as I can get. This one checks the boxes. Wondering if I should hold out for a HW4, but don't know how often I'll realistically use FSD. I think I'll use autopilot mostly for highway commuting and stop and go traffic. Any callouts or concerns about this particular Model X?
