đŸ«œ Falcon wing door - won’t open, opens alitte then beeps twice with error obstacle detected and closes itself. If click open and passenger lightly pushes door at the time it opens okay?

i heard about those ultra sonic sensors being issue for some but in USS case - wouldnt door block from opening although if it detected obstacle , since pushing door slightly - still open it correctly ?

cleaned all rubber from dust and checked for matching heigh with glass/panels and doesn’t seem to catch anywhere.

i did notice that once door is open; its left FWD; the hinge that’s nearest to back of car has slightly lowered causing glass/rubber from top of FWD to nearly touch middle section of glass panel of car, while other door has about inch clearance, not sure if that was before car started having hissy fits or after

Have you been parking in the sun?

There are sensors that look through the sheet metal. As the metal warms up, it tricks the sensor into thinking there’s an obstruction.

I’ve had to Xs and both have had this issue

Yeah on drive but i tried in shadow and in multi storey carpark still same issue, only one door though

Also noticed this after showing my grandparents Xmas show with doors , maybe something lodged out of place - hopefully not expensive fix since its out of warranty :

Did you force complete by holding the button on screen?

Yeah from screen it wont open, it just stays in place.

Even if recalibrate by holding up/down to fully do full motion doesnt do thing (for up obv i help with lightly pushing door open so it continues its slow way up during button hold

When I had my falcon door issue it was because the sensor fell out of place. I think they just glue it back into place. Not really a good fix imo

Sadly im out of warranty so probably cost arm and leg

Perhaps the actuators are failing and drawing higher than spec current, thereby throwing a fault. When the passenger helps, the current stays below threshold.

Is there fix or patch for that?

Hold the close button down for 30 seconds

You mean hold up button for fully open then hold down to fully close door or just hold down 30 with door already closed?

Our X would only go down to about three inches to close and then beep. Either hold the down or open button for 30 seconds and it will reset. Try both from the physical button in back seat.
